Why do I get forced into the same inbox?

When I go into “Mail,” I see the 3 inboxes I have set up (say InboxA, InboxB, InboxC). Within 2-10 seconds, I’m automatically taken into InboxB – ALWAYS that inbox. If I go back to my inboxes, I better make a decision fast on which inbox I want to go into next, or it’ll take me right back into InboxB. I tried switching my default account. No change. So annoying. Suggestions??

When two symbols appear on an iPad keyboard you need to use the Shift key foret to get the top most symbol. Long holding the key to get the top most symbol doesn't work like that on an iPad.
But there are some additional symbols that can be typed without using the shift key first. Tap and hold on the , then slide up to type the apostrophe.
You just have to realize that the way things are done on one family of devices may not work the same way on another family of devices.

Here's what stopped the App Store Reload:
Delete all content (except "Core Audio" folder) in the "Library/Quicktime/" folder (copied to a temp folder elsewhere.)
Restart
Install Pro Video Formats 2.0.1 from direct download: "ProVideoFormats.dmg"
Restart
App Store shows everything for updates OK. Pro Video Formats cleared.
Next to determine from the QuickTime Library folder what formats can be reinserted.

Since the new updates I now get 3 of the same messages on my iphone, ipad and mac what is going on? how do I stop this??? Help i am going nuts

Are the 2 copies in the Inbox downloading at the same time or separately?
Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

I just loaded Icloud 3.1 to a Win 7 PC w Outlook 2013 and now all my emails on my IPhone 5 and IPad Air arrive twice to both Devices ( every email comes twice on both ) in Outlook its just once and now if I delete an email on my IPad it does Not delete from Outlook Why ?? Help Pls Thanks

1 - that is how iPhoto works and no you can not change it
2 - you can not ever delete anuything from the iPhoto library unless you do it using iPhoto - in fact you should not be going into the iPhoto library at all - there is no reason to be there
3 - it is not taking double the space - thumbnails are very small
4 - and when you make any modifications to any photo a third version is created - the modified version - and again that is the way iPhoto works
5 - the only way to prevent this is to use a different probram that does no work this way (there are a number of very good reasons why iPhoto and other DAMs - Digital Assett Managers - work this way including keeping the digital negative, non-destructive editins, etc

I created a slideshow but all the photos are now mixed up. i just dragged the event to a new slideshow. how can i get them into the same order they were imported in?

my slides are all mixed up after i imported them into a new slideshow. i just copied them from the events and dragged the icon to the new slideshow but the have re arranged themselves into a random order. How do I keep my Cox mail and MSN mail from all going into the same in box on Apple mail

I have a Imac and Mac Book. The Imac apple mail works great. I also have a Mac Book. The Apple Mail is set up the same as the Imac. The problem I have is that both Cox mail and MSN mail go into the same inbox on Apple Mail on the MacBook even though the accounts are separte. From what I see, the settings are the same as the Imac. I tried to reinstall the apple mail. No luck! Should I try again. Any ideas?

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!

As I've already mentioned, I can't connect to iTunes or the App Store, the same message appears every time: "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store". I downloaded a few apps before I connected my iPad Mini to my Computer. I started doing an update that was about 9 or 10 hours long, somewhere around that time, and I unplugged it about halfway through the update and since then I've not been able to get onto iTunes or the App Store. I checked to see if I could continue the update but when I looked on iTunes again, no updates appeared. On my iPod Touch 4th Generation, everything works absolutely fine and it is logged into the same Apple ID. I've tried resetting my Network Settings, logging into someone else's Apple ID, connecting to a different Wifi, changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8, rebooting my Computer and iPad and changing the HTTP Proxy to Auto. Is there anything else I could try or am I just overlooking something? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here, thanks!

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

No it isnt an issue with the youtube account- i have no problem signing in to youtube. I can even sign into the Google Youtube app. What i cannot sign into is the Apple Youtube app- the one linked to by Safari when you click on a youtube video. I am having trouble importing photos, gets stuck on the same photo each time?!?

I am having trouble importing almost 3000 pics from my phone to my computer. Start up disk should be fine, cleaned it up before I began. Import gets stuck on the same photo each time I try the import. I have had to force quit a few times, and it can't seem to get past that same picture near the end. Please help?!? It never gives me an error, it just keeps spinning and nothing is importing.

HT3819 Home Share issue: I have a Mac and Apple TV. Both are log into the same Wifi network and the same iTunes account (I can view purchased movies on AppleTV). Home Sharing shows 'ON' for both devices. BUT...AppleTV shows no computers. Itunes sidebar-no

Has anyone else found solution to Apple devices not 'seeing' each other on Home Share? I have a Macbook Air (new Nov'12) and Apple TV (new Dec'12). Software updated on both. Both are logged into the same Wifi network and the same iTunes account (I can view movies purchased from iTunes on my AppleTV). Home Sharing shows 'ON' for both devices. BUT...AppleTV shows no computers... and ... Itunes sidebar does not have a 'Shared' area at all. Help please as without this functionality, my Apple TV only provides portal to purchased (i.e. Netflix,...) content which I can get from Wii or Xbox.
I have already tried the following without success:
1. Homeshare DID work the first day after I setup Apple TV... but the next day it has not worked since then.
2. Powered off 30 sec then re-started (Apple TV & Macbook & iTunes login)
3. Checked Firewall settings per Home Sharing troubleshooting guide (correct settings)
4. Turning on Photostream in iPhoto and selecting iPhoto within iTunes and then checking to see if Photostream shows anything on AppleTV (it shows 'on' for my iTunes account but 'Zero' pictures found ... despite the >3,000 pictures showing avail in iTunes).
I also have 'Remote" app on my iPhone 4, with Home Sharing turned on (same Wifi network)... it has a very similar message as the Apple TV and same result that despite all devices having HomeShare 'on' they cannot see each other: "Remote will automatically find the iTunes libraries and Apple TVs that have Home Sharing turned on using the account xxxx (it lists my correct itunes account name)."

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

I don't see your screenshot but I assume you're starting with something like this, i.e., the compilation split into multiple albums:
If you select all the items that you want to be in a single album, right-click > Get Info you'll see this:
As you say, in iTunes 12 you don't see a field to enter a distinct Album Artist value. You can, however, address this by clicking the Add Field button and selecting Album Artist:
That makes the field available in the metadata dialog so that you can enter the required value:
You can also show the pre-iTunes 12 version of the dialog by holding the SHIFT key when selecting Get Info - this allows you to enter the Album Artist directly:

You will not be able to see what version you are running until the iPad is activated. It will be in Settings>General>About >Version when you can get to the settings app.
The slider bar that you are describing sounds like the screen lock side switch and that has no bearing on setting up the iPad or connecting to WiFi.
Why don't you try rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again and see if the iPad will recognize and join the network.

I had the same problem after I gave my old iPad to my parents and tried to install Netflix. This is what you have to do: Open iTunes on your computer, the one you sync your iPad to. Then go to iTunes Store and search for and download Netflix app. After you download it, if your iPad is set to download new purchases it may start downloading on your iPad. If so, tap and hold to delete the app (because it is trying to install the new version on the iPad) Next step, go to the App Store on your iPad and find Netflix and it should say install since you already purchased it on the computer. Tap to install, and it will say the version is not compatible, tap to download a previous version. Click that and it will install the older version! One more thing, if and when you sync to your computer again it will say something like " Unable to install Netflix on your iPad" Just click the box to never remind you again, because it's trying to sync the newer Netflix app to your iPad, but it doesn't work so it displays the message. The old app will remain on the ipad. Hope this helps, good luck
