Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not download because disconnected from network? I'm connected to the internet during that time with Safari so am I not connected to the network?
Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing." I'm on the internet during all of this. What disconnect is the message referring to? Itunes is frozen now. I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.

iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection
Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On

Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

I got an error message that I should connect to Wi-Fi after trying to download a Book Sample from the iBooks Store. I still get this error message even after I bought, downloaded, and transferred the file to my iPad's iBook thru iTunes. Wi-Fi ain't cheap.
Hi I had a similar issue to you, I could connect to the router but no internet. Here is my explanation of how I sorted it.....I hope this works for you.
*To anyone that is reading this it appears that the problem lay in the airport setting: IPV6: set to 'Automatically'. I turned it off (after reading someones plight on MacFixIt) & everything is back to normal.*
*The worrying thing is although my problem was extreme with other computers on the network being locked out nothing was changed, one minute it worked the next it didn't. Reading on other forums it appears to be a problem with laptops (but I could be mistaken). A lot of people on the Macfixit forum are complaining of network just dropping out even when they are next to the router.*
*I hope this is the fix (although I dont know why it suddenly went to sh*t!) & I hope my hair pulling & trawling the forums can help someone else out.*

why do I get an error message when I start safari 5.1 telling me I need to open browser in 32 bit mode in order to "view movie" ? This occurs when I start safari on the opening page (the page with all the boxes for most viewed web sites). This had never occurred with safari up until the latest updates to safari & OSX [Version 5.1 (6534.50)] and OSX 10.6.8.
also, I'm not trying to view a movie - this occurs for the page previews that load when safari opens.

iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.

I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges. Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled." I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases." One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. Just downloaded iTunes to new dell laptop, tried syncing my iPhone get an error message: "this iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". What is the issue, had this phone over a year??
I had this problem before. I like to disable extra services to speed up my computer and I disabled the Apple Mobile Device service and had to re-enable this.
You can do that by going Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Once you have gone to the services window, look for Apple Mobile Device and right-click. Select "Properties". There should be some information about the service as well as the label "Startup Type" with a drop-down menu beside it. If it says "disabled", that is your problem; Change the selection to anything except disabled (Automatic is easier and ensures that you can sync as soon as itunes opens).
If this doesn't work, I would look into your anti-virus' settings. Good Luck! -

Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If that doesn't help, drag the App Store icon straight up off your Dock so it goes, "poof".
Now drag the App Store icon from your Applications folder to the Dock. Try updating your apps. -
