Why do I get the "this value would cause one or more objects to leave the pasteboard" message when p

I'm placing images from Bridge by selecting the image or images and going to File>Place>In Indesign. This loads the cursor in ID and I attempt to click and drag a frame to size the image on the page. That's when I get the message.
Placing images into existing frames is OK, and single click to place works also. Only when I click and drag to create a new frame.
This happens every time regardless of image size, resolution or root folder location.
Any ideas? Why is ID stuck with click & drag?

  • "This value would cause one or more object to leave the pasteboard"

I'm getting a little tired of this one.  I've inserted a photo into my document, and need to just tweak it over a bit to the right.  Less than .5 inch, but I'm not able to move it at all.  There's plenty of room on the "page" and I'm not entering any "value," just trying to move the danged thing.  Why does this keep happening?

Is it possibly grouped with something out on the pasteboard?
Are you using the mouse or arrow keys to move? OS? Version of ID?

  • Help! "Requested Operation would cause one or more objects to be too small"

I tried to copy several pieces of text I selected and grouped together to another page. They seemed to disapper, so I went back a step. They immediately made my pasteboard gynormous.... that's one problem, but then, when I tried to type on the page I was going to I get this error message, "Requested operation would cause one or more objects to be too small...." and it won't let me type anything on that page. I can type on other pages, but not that one. I shut my computer down, started again, but still it's there. I saved as another document, but still.... can't type anything on the page. I've got a newspaper to get out. eek. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody can help you without any system info, details about your documents, fonts used and whatnot. From your description it simply sounds like a DPI settings issue...

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - Try when connected to another network
    - Wait since it may be an Apple problem
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

also the message doesnt say (my ipods name) but i dont want to say my name!
i would greatly appreciate any help, as my ipod is still on update 4.3.1
    (i think)

Use File > Transfer Purchases from <Device>.
If there are any purchases on the device belonging to accounts for which your computer is not authorized then they won't be transferred. When you sync the device any media that is on the device but doesn't have a matching entry in the library will be removed.

IOS error messagge - I keep getting the following message when I try to update my iPad2 - unable to install update, an error occurred installing IOS 8.1.2.  How can I fix this?

Which way are you trying to update? WiFi or iTunes? In either case, I would try restarting/rebooting all devices and then try again.
IF you are using iTunes, eject your iPad, quit iTunes, reboot your computer and reset your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. After the iPad starts up, connect to iTunes and try again. You may also want to disable your firewall and antivirus software when you try to update using iTunes. Sometimes those will interfere with the download.
If you are using WiFi, reset the iPad as described above and try again.
If WiFi updating will not work, try using iTunes, if iTunes will not work, try using WiFi.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not download because disconnected from network?  I'm connected to the internet during that time with Safari so am I not connected to the network?

Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing."  I'm on the internet during all of this.  What disconnect is the message referring to?  Itunes is frozen now.  I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.

    Hello FredJay,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection
Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On
1Fees may be associated with downloading over cellular networks; contact your wireless carrier for details.

  • Why am I getting the 404 error when on pinterest?

Why am I getting the 404 error when on pinterest?  This is happening on my iMac and macbook.
I have tried to clear my history, tried in safari and in firefox, enabled and disabled Javascript, and allowed 3rd party sites.
    Please help!!

No you are not alone. I tried to create an apple ID and then access the app store and itunes and got the same error code. Spoke with tech support for over 45 minutes and we tried everything. Tech support seemed to think that it had something to do with credit card registration. Suggested that I use a different credit card. I modified my account settings with a different card and still had the same errors. At this time I have no confidence that Apple has any idea what the problem is.
