Why do i get this message when i connect my ipod??? Please Help!!! =(
When ever i connect my ipod nano to my computer i would get this message, "FireWire connections are not supported. To transfer song, connect the USB cable provided.
Press Center to dismiss"
Then i would push the button and it would just go straight to charging, nothing else. I dont know whats wrong, my other ipod connects just fine. so if you know whats wrong please help
the new ones do not support firewire. you should try using the usb cable that came with your iPod.
I know that my mini used a firewire cable just fine, but my nano gives me that message. I had to get a new charger because of it.
that is, unless, you are already using the usb cable?

Before trying the update again, use Microsoft's Fix it solution at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall. Use it to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime. It bypasses this not uncommon problem. When the solution finishes, the selected program will be uninstalled. It can take several minutes and I have seen as much as half an hour.
After iTunes & Quicktime are uninstalled, try the update again. -

Did you copy the songs directly from a CD or did you download the files from a website?
You can use a different player than the Windows Media Player to play the songs if you copied them from a CD to avoid that. -

As a first fix attempt try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and see if you get the same message. If you don't then the problem lies with your current library.

I am signed in with the account that I purchased it I don't have another account I'm not sure what's going onOpen up iTunes. Go to Store. Go to Account and sign in. Click on Purchase History. Find your purchase record.

Do you have that website open in other tabs?
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" -

I getting the message "This item is temporarily unavailable" when i try to play certain songs. I know the songs are there...I just recently listened to them! I'm using ITunes on a new Macbook pro I just purchased. The songs that DO lay have "clouds" next to them, just like the ones that won't play. Any ideas? Its frustrating not to be able to play the songs I have legally purchased from ITunes.
