Why do I get two of almost every email?

I wonder if having a .mac and a .me email address has anything to do with getting so many emails twice? Any ideas out there?

Receiving two emails should not have have anything to do with the same whatever@me or mac account. I have both a me and iCloud email account and do not have the same problem but I know my mom had a problem similar. I told her she need to clear all of the .plist out of her email accounts to make everything work smoothly. Here are the steps to do this:
1. Close Mail.
2. Open System Prefrences and delete every email account
3. Go to finder click the Go tab on the top of the screen
4. Press option and library will appear
5. Scroll to mail
6. V2
7. MailData
8. Everything that says .plist i.e. Accounts.plist (which should be the first thing there). Should be dragged to the trash. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT SAY .plist. I do not know what will happen with the other files only the .plist
9. Restart your computer
10. Reset up your email accounts in system preferences
11. You are done
NOTE.
Incase you are not familiar with a .plist it is kind of like a cache. So even after you delete the .plist, after you reset up your email accounts the .plist will return but as a new .plist

Nobody here can answer a question like that. Try rebooting your iPad and see if that helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

It's likely that AT$T is recognizing that version of Safari as not compliant with their anti-spam or security requirements for their webmail application. Assuming you are running OS X "Snow Leopard" that Safari version is the latest one. That's annoying because I am not aware of any noteworthy security improvements in subsequent Safari releases, and AT$T ought not to treat it any differently.
Your alternatives are to upgrade your Mac's operating system, which has certain minimum hardware requirements, or simply use your Mac's Mail application. Or, just use Firefox when you want to use webmail. Otherwise you'll have to put up with their silly Captcha annoyances.

I'm sorry that you've been unable to merge files. Let's see what we can figure out.
Are you unable to merge any files? How large are the files that you're trying to merge, and how many are you trying to merge at once?
If you're merging more than a few files, or those files are particularly large, ttry merging those files in smaller batches. If one or more files is causing the conversion failure, merging in smaller batches should help you isolate the problematic file or files.
I look forward to hearing back from you with some details about the files that you're trying to merge.

          I am getting two _releaseTag() methods in the Java code that Weblogic 6.1 produces on my JSP. Does anyone know why this might happen? I have tried 5 times to include the JSP code with this post, but it has refused to send any of it (so, please e-mail me if you need a code sample).
          This JSP works correctly under Tomcat 4.0.

          We have seen this too, I try to get input from our web-tier engineers
          when they saw this. I think it was something strange, like a page
          directive with an encoding (do you have one? could you try without?),
          but I'm not sure.
          I'll let you know if I find out more.

I'm experiencing something similar. My conversations are kept together but if the screen is opened to a conversation and I receive a text from that person it doesn't show up on the screen. The message alert in the upper corner indicates a new text but I have to back out of the screen and go back in to read it.

Why am I getting all/most of my emails dozens of times? This started today when I set up a rule in Mac's Mail app redirecting all my email to my Googlemail account so I can read it on my PC at work. In Googlemail I have disabled forwarding in the forwarding settings (I had enabled it to try to get my regular email account forwareded to Googlemail but that didn't work). The forwarding facility in Mac mail is just what I needed but am getting snowed under by a vast amount of reduplicated email. Can anyone please help.

You may have to register in the Google forums to see if someone can figure out
the correct settings for your configuration. Sometimes, to go through all details
again from scratch, can help; since an error could be in there.
I've kept my google accounts free from handling other account's mail; and left
it as a browser-supported webmail instead of having Mail app handle it. Mine
uses Camino as a dedicated browser for google mail, so it won't mess with
my primary browser activity when I get some mail that way.
Perhaps someone already has experienced an issue similar to yours, and
maybe the google forum is searchable. I've about given up on their help!

Why do I get duplicate messages on my screen, almost simultaneously, when I send a text message?

The problem occurs with both green and blue bubbles. As soon as I hit send the first bubble comes up on the right side of the screen with a "read" time under the bubble at the moment I sent it. Then in a second or two, the same message/text comes up to the left side of the screen in a gray bubble.

wondering why I see two files (that appear identical in name) appear when I drag and drop previously ripped songs out of my itunes library. For example I've noticed this when I drag and drop songs on to the desktop and then I drag them from there on to my portable music player.
the duplicares only appear once files are placed on to portable player, not on desktop ot even memory card that one of my players use
both files have the same extension (eg aiff or m4a)
only one will play
why do I see two?
why does only one play?
does the 2nd (phantom) file take up space?
any ideas?

Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
The only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
Best way forward: Restore your back ups to the point before you did this and start over using Library Manager

Why does new Safari screen appear almost every day?

Almost every day, I get a screen welcoming me to Safari, as if I had never used Safari before. This has been going on for about a week. In each case, I reset the settings, but the next day a new "Welcome" screen appears.

This happened to me, and I started paying really close attention to what I was doing . . .. I found that, being used to a wired Apple mouse, I got into the habit of tapping on the top of the mouse while waiting for the page to change. This sets off Zoom on the Magic Mouse.
So see if that's what's happening with you. I have to really watch it. I've gotten much better at not subconsciously tapping on the top, but it still happens every once in a great while. Otherwise, I love the Magic Mouse.
EDIT: If this is what's happening with you, you can undo it by tapping again on the top of the mouse. It's like a toggle.

What is the error? What do you mean you are getting "two _releaseTag()
          methods" in the java code? It's being defined twice -- taking your statement
          literally? It's being called twice? If you want to include code just cut and
          paste it in your message.

Why do I see two copies of every photo when I sync my iPhone or iPad with iPhoto?

Whenever i plug in my iPhone to sync, iPhoto automatically opens.
There are always two copies of every photo I have taken since my last sync. I have to throw one out before syncing.

Why do I get two different results from the same coefficients?

I am getting two different results from the Polynomial Evaluation function.
For the first one, I am getting the coefficients from a Polynomial Fit function. I feed the coefficients from the Fit function into the Poly Eval function and get the correct result of 12.8582 when I evaluate 49940.
For the second one, I create constant array of the SAME values that were returned from the Polynomial Fit function (i typed them in). However, I am getting an incorrect result of -120.7913 when I feed the constant array into the Poly Eval function when I evauate 49940.
How can this happen when I am using the same array values?

are you sure about using the "same" coefficients?
Did you compare them? Did you (atleast) set the display properties to 17 significant digits?

I just loaded Icloud 3.1 to a Win 7 PC w Outlook 2013 and now all my emails on my IPhone 5 and IPad Air arrive twice to both Devices ( every email comes twice on both ) in Outlook its just once and now if I delete an email on my IPad it does Not delete from Outlook Why ?? Help Pls Thanks

1 - that is how iPhoto works and no you can not change it
2 - you can not ever delete anuything from the iPhoto library unless you do it using iPhoto - in fact you should not be going into the iPhoto library at all - there is no reason to be there
3 - it is not taking double the space - thumbnails are very small
4 - and when you make any modifications to any photo a third version is created - the modified version - and again that is the way iPhoto works
5 - the only way to prevent this is to use a different probram that does no work this way (there are a number of very good reasons why iPhoto and other DAMs - Digital Assett Managers - work this way including keeping the digital negative, non-destructive editins, etc
