Recently my Mac's Address Book duplicated my iCloud. Now I have 2 iClouds plus my "On My Mac" contacts. So, if I click on "All Contacts", I will see duplicates. I only want one iCloud and an On My Mac copy. So, how do I delete one of the iCloud addess books? I've tried to turn OFF then ON iCloud for Contacts to no avail. Thanks in advance! The hierachy looks sor of like this:

Funny, but not it seems to be more normal in that there are the expected 548 contacts under either All On my Mac OR iCloud. So, somehow time seems to have fixed it. Huh.
Still nagging me (but not as important) is that I have that second iCloud in the Contacts. (See screen shot). One has sub menus, but the other doesn't. I don't know why it's there.

Why do I have an update on the Mac App Store for an Angry Birds app when I have not downloaded the app?

I have a strange issue where the Mac App Store always shows an update available for an Angry Birds app I have never downloaded on my Mac. Everytime I click on it for update, it gives a strange Username for which the update is available.
This is the username that comes up when I hit "Update"... I noticed this problem exists on my friends iMac too and it is the exact same email ID that shows on the screenshot above.
Please help.

Why can I not access ICloud mail on Mac Mail anymore. When I reopen a new ICloud account, the "incoming server" box is gray and I cannot enter anything. This happened the 3-4 times I attempted to start a new icloud account?

Was getting ICloud mail then it stopped. Icons next to ICloud on my mac mail say it's a netweork error. I tried deleting the iCloud account several times and reentering it but it always leaves out the info that goes into the "incoming server" box and there is no way to manually enter it as the box is grayed out.

Sign out of iCloud (system preference>iCloud) reboot and sign back in.

Why do I have Calendar Date Dimension in my Logical Layer?

If I look in my logical layer and then looking at the models, each of my Fact tables have their corresponding dates such as Order Date, Date Updated, Date Shipped etc. This is OK. But each single Fact, I see a Calendar Date which is a duplicate of another date dimension. What I mean if I look in Fact A, I will have Date Transaction, Date Shipped, Date Ordered and Date Calendar. Date Calendar has the same join relationship as Date Shipped. Another Fact table Date Calendar has a same relationship as Date Transaction.
Is this a common modelling practice, is this only used for ease of use for business end users? Do you know why would would do this and what the benefit is?

Dim_Date = Physical Table
W_DATE_ORDERED_D, W_DATE_SHIPPED_D, W_DATE_TRANSACTION_D and W_DATE_UPDATED_D are all alias that come from my DIM_DATE Physical Table. Each of these Aliases are joined to my fact tables.
FACTTABLE1.ORDERDATEID joined to W_DATE_ORDERED_D.DATEID AND FACTTABLE1.SHIPPEDDATEID joined to W_DATE_SHIPPED_D.DATEID
FACTTABLE2.TRANSACTIONDATEID joined to W_DATE_TRANSACTION_D.DATEID AND FACTTABLE2.UPDATEDDATEID joined to W_DATE_UPDATED_D.DATEID
The above part I understand fully, what I also have is this:
FACTTABLE1.ORDERDATEID joined to W_DATE_CALENDAR_D.DATEID
and
FACTTABLE2.TRANSACTIONDATEID joined to W_DATE_CALENDAR_D.DATEID
Documentation states that calendar dates are used more for business logical reasons for the end users, and that the Calendar dates joined to the fact date ids, the fact date ids are the more commonly used dates for reporting.
Does that make sense?

I have uploaded and installed ICLOUD to all three of my devices MAC, i pad nd Iphone.
From Ipad to Iphone i am able to retrieve PAGES documents as i write them. BUT now that i am back home i see that none of the new documents i am working on which are stored on my desktop are showing up in my PAGES file on my Ipad or Phone.
How do i save to icloud from mac, how come i can't retrieve docs from IPAD to MAC either?
should i back up my mac ICLOUD FIRST? and if so, Where do i back it up from?
going mad as i edit on one during the day and the other in the evening , and would like them to sync automatically
please can you help

SADLY not as i downloaded an upgrad to my original PAGES/
i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......
and the same magic was supposed to happen in reverse.
It doesn't/
if i have to open a browser, go to www.icloud....why on earth did they not just leave us an icon to drop it in in that case?
I hope the new lion will help resolve the isssue/

There is no "Pro" version of QuickTime X so its export options are limited (as compared to QuickTime Player 7.6.3).
QuickTime X includes features (screen recording) not available in QuickTime Player Pro.
Some QuickTime formats are only supported by QuickTime Player 7.6.3 on your Snow Leopard machine.
Use both and enjoy.

When I bought my mac I set up a new icloud account. Later I wanted to access an old itunes library and synced with and old account on my phone. Now my phone won't talk to my mac.
I want to delete the new account and restore the original but am worried about losing data. What should I do?

You can log into both accounts on the Mac and copy your data to your old account. Do you use photostream and document syncing.

Mac Mail should be called Mac Mail Reader. It is intended to make picking up, sorting, organizing, and sending mail through one or several mail accounts (one of which could be iCloud) easier.
You can use WebMail (not an Application, you just navigate to the iCloud mail repository with your Browser).
You can use a different mail reader. I think Mozilla was providing one if you like their stuff.

You can go to Settings>iCloud and enter you Apple ID to set up your account, then turn on syncing for the data you want to sync. If you don't want to use iCloud email, don't turn Mail to On. If you're Mac is runniing OS X 10.7.2 or later, you can sync it with your iCloud account. You do this by going to System Preferences>iCloud, signing into your iCloud account, then checking the data you want to sync with iCloud (see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html).
If you sync your calendar on both your phone and your Mac with your iCloud account, then will remain in sync using iCloud.

It is probably related to your calendar syncing with certain services and/or apps that end up duplicating the entries. Investigate your sync settings like iCloud, facebook, etc or apps like Cobook which can sync your contacts/to facebook and gmail contacts. The birthdays for all of those would then show up in ical. If there is some kind of redundancy happening it might even resync the same info from the same place multiple times. If you can zero in on a particular service or app that might be the cause, try temporarily unsyncing it to ical/address book and see what happens.

Ok.
Open System Preferences, Apple Logo icon in the menu bar and then System Preferences or the Sys Pref iocon in the Dock and go to the Internet Accounts area and look at your iCloud account. It should list what is and isn't synced by a checkmark next to each item.
Also in the Contacts app click on Contacts in the menu bar and select Preferences then accounts and make sure your iCloud account is listed. You can also do that from the Internet Accounts area in System Preferences.

You need to setup your own user account on the computer to keep independent iCloud accounts, contacts & calendars. Then sign in to your iCloud account in your user account.
