Why do i have 2 g-mail icons pinned to my firefox14.0.1 toolbar?

hello, i have gmail icons pinned to my firefox 14.0.1 toolbar, using appearance extension 1.0.5.
i have two gmail accounts, one mine ["A"] and one my partner's ["B"].
but clicking on either of these two toolbar icons only opens my partner's gmail inbox ["B"] but not mine.["A"]
so, what's the purpose of pinning the icons onto my toolbar? advice appreciated 1.0.5

By design you can only be logged into one email account at a time. You need to log out of the first before logging into the 2nd.
I am told that there is a setting in Gmail preferences to allow multiple simultaneous logins to Gmail; never needed it myself and have never used it.
[http://br.mozdev.org/multifox/ Multifox] add-on allows Firefox to handle multiple cookie sessions with the same server. That is the limitation with Firefox.

  • I have 4 mail icons on my desktop and cannot open any of them.  I have no idea how I have done this but want to go back to having one mail icon which opens.  What have I done and what should I do?

I am new to mac pro and have managed to set up 4 mail icons on my desk top and none of them open mail.  What have I done and how do I get back to having just one in the doc which opens?

HA! It turns out, that an app that I've never used before, became active during a time that I was multitasking and didn't realize it. I didn't notice the effects right away, because my main desktop has a special 3D desktop generator called, bumptop, which covers over any other desktop color or graphic in that area. So it wasn't until I swiped to go to a different desktop, that I noticed the random slideshow being displayed. All fixed now. What a relief.

  • Can I have separate mail icons for my email accounts?

Is it possible to have separate email icons on my main screen - one for my personal account and one for my work account?

Yes you can. You just have to download the app for that email..... with your Mail app taken by one email you can download a different app that supports your email (ei. Gmail, Hotmail, etc....)

  • Is it possible to have different mail icons for different mail accounts?

I have several mail accounts configured in my iPhone 5s, and I want to see them separately and know when i have unread mails in each account, without having to enter in mail app.
    Thanks

No, all unread email is consolidated under the single icon for the Mail Appl.
You could use several different mail apps (one for each account). This would show you the unread emails for each account with a seperate icon. Chech the App Store for many more email Apps.

  • I no longer have a mail icon. I do not know how to get to my mail. I also can no longer tell IF I have mail. I am not a computer person and I am very upset that you would have me "upgrade" without warning me that this would happen.

    I don't have a mail button anymore.

The Add-on Bar is a bar in the bottom of the browser (screen) all across. If there's nothing there, try this:
View > Toolbars and CHECK the Add-on Bar
To see your Extension List, try this:
    Tools > Add-ons
and then CLICK on the Second item on the left (Extensions). If you have any add-ons installed, you should see them listed in the window on the right. Do you see any? If so, does any of them have the name like "mail" or close to that?
    Please let us know.

  • Why do I have duplicate App Icons on my new iPod Touch?

Just got the new 5th gen iPod Touch yesterday and already LOVE it--just couldn't be happier, except for one thing:
Installed all of my apps last night, and for some reason there are duplicate icons for three of them--GetGlue, Google+, Google Voice, and YouTube.
They are in my "Social" folder on my home screen, and they work just fine. But there's a second set of those four that say "Installing" under each one; I've moved the duplicates to another folder on the second page of my home screen to hide them, but they are really bothering me--I don't want any clutter or issues on my new device.
I cannot delete these duplicate icons, when I tap and hold to enter edit mode, they do NOT have the little "x" in the corner to tap for deletion.
Any ideas? I spent forever getting my new iPod Touch set up last night, downloading all my music, etc. I really don't want to have to start from scratch again on day two.

Try restarting your iPod or turning it off and switching in on again. It worked for me.

  • Why do I have 2 iPhoto icons?

After updated the iPhoto recently, it came up 2 iPhoto icons.  They are exactly the same (the version are same and using same library).  I tried to delete one of them, as a result the iPhoto app was totally deleted.  Please help how to keep 1 iPhoto icon only.

You seem to have duplicated your iPhoto Library on or around June 20 last.
Open then both to compare the contents: Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
Yes, you can trash the duplicate once you're sure it's a duplicate.
Should I delete the older one by dragging to trash or move to a back up disc first
You need a back up no matter what.
For dealing with duplicates in iPhoto check out Duplicate Annihilator

  • Why do I have "broken image" icons after uploading a file with safari 7.0

I have a wesite where I can upload images.  We show the directory of uploaded files with an icon that is a thumbnail of the image.  This is working fine with all versions of safari except 7.0.
All users with 7.0 see the small blue icon with a "?" in place of the thumbnail (png and jpg).  When the full image is displayed it look fine.
The wierd thing is that if I go to Chrome and view my directory and then go back to safari 7.0 and refresh, all thumbnails appear correctly.
I suspect there is a bug in Safari 7.0.  Anyone else have this problem?

Has the 1 year limited hardware warranty expired? Apple would only charge to perform a repair or a replacement. If iOS 7.0.3 caused the issue then that would be a software issue, not hardware. Take it into the Genius Bar because the technicians are the only people that will be able to determine the cause. But if the iPhone needs to be replaced and it is not covered then Apple are in the right.

  • Why do i have iCloud and Mobile me

Hi, why do I have iCloud mail account and MobileMe in iPhone? It also appears in my Mac's Mail App.
What's the difference between the two?
    Thanks
    Jingo

    Please see http://rfwilmut.net/icloud
The 'previous local idisk' is the disk image which formed the 'local copy' of your iDisk and will contain the contents of the iDisk at the time of the last sync. You should be able to double-click the 'sparseimage' to open it, or use the 'File>Open' menu item in Disk Utility. If there are no files in it you want to keep you can delete it.

  • Mail Icon Display like Missed Call or  SMS Message?

Is it possible to have a mail icon or message display when new mail is received via a POP3 mail account (non-push)? Basically, the exact same thing that (if you have it turned on) pops up for a missed call or an SMS message. I'm looking for the same thing, just for new email messages.
    Thanks

Wish it was, it's not. If everyone submits it as a feature request, we might see it eventually.

  • Lost ability to simply shut down Safari. have no Apple icon or red "X" to hit.

Lost ability to simply shut down Safari. Have no Apple icon or red "X" at top of toolbar.
Must manually shut down when finished.
There must be a way to return to normal.
    Thanks for your help.

    Quit Safari.
Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library".
Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist and drag that file to the Desktop.
    Launch Safari and test.
You don't mean the Apple icon on your toobar, not in Safari, or do you?
