Why do I have 2 stop/refresh buttons?

For some reason, I have 2 stop/refresh buttons. One on the end of (and attached to) the address bar and one immediately after it.
I have tried
* restoring the icons to the default set
* removing the stop and go buttons via the customise option (this completely removed both)
* moving them around

Solved it.
On 3.6 I used Stop Smart/Reload (add-on to combine the stop/reload buttons). This looked like it was disabled in 4.0, but when I removed it, I suddenly had one stop/refresh button (affixed to the address bar). Looks like something was getting confused.

Thanks to salgud, I learned that the partial circle arrow at the right of the URL (address box), & the left of the google box, is now the refresh icon.

Firefox is telling me my yahoo toolbar is not compatible with firefox 4.i have no refresh button or any of the others . will there be an update to make my yahoo toolbar work with this new firefox?

firefox 4 came on my computer thru an update. now i do not have my yahoo toolbar that has the refresh button the home button and the other buttons that are on yahoo tool bar. i want to use my yahoo toolbar and it says it isnt compatible with firefox 4... HELP!

I have just installed mozilla firefox as my internet provider. I have noticed that although i asked for toolbars from Internet Explorer to be transferred across this hasnt happened. I have added what i can but cannot find a refresh button or a settings option

You can not transfer toolbars from IE to Firefox.
You can add or remove ions from the toolbar, for details see [[how to customize the toolbar]].

Does iTunes have a refresh button?

I'm using an index in iTunes (music files are not in the iTunes folder). Innitially I though I could only change music information such as artists and album via iTunes. So if something was missing or incorrect I needed to change it in iTunes and it would sync the changes to the original file.
Now it turns out that it works the other way around as well. I change artists in the original file and it changes in iTunes. However it only changes until I 'show info' of a specific song. iTunes basically refeshes the index but only for that particular song.
What I'm looking for is a button to refresh iTunes' index. So that when I change the artist of 100 songs in the music map,I dont have to individually open each song in iTunes to refresh its data,
Is there such a button?

If you can see a sync button then you are looking at a device's content page rather than your main library. Click the Podcasts icon in the row of sources, Music, Movies, TV Shows etc. If you don't see the icon click the one with three dots to enable it.

Why do I have so much trouble loading Frontierville, and why do I have to refresh it so much?

When I go to load Frontierville, it takes forever; then when it finally does load, I no sooner get started then it tells me that the internet went all quiet and to refresh my page. What can I do to fix this?

When I click on my ITunes short cut, I get a window that says
I have no idea why I'm getting this error as I have not inserted a disc in my computer for months. I haven't created any playlists, nor have I purchased anything as I'm always denied.
In addition, when I am logged-in to the store (I'm assuming I am logged-in as my email address is reflected on the top left), when I select a song, then click Buy, I get the following error
I'm at a total loss as to why I am unable to do anything in ITunes, either through my desktop or IPhone. Quite obviously I don't have a network problem as I have to be on-line to even get into the ITunes store.
At this point, I'm convinced that ITunes doesn't want my money and am at the point that I'll just forget Apple and ITunes and try my luck elsewhere.
FYI. I have used two emails, and created 2-3 IDs/passwords trying to get into ITunes and buy something.

In my mail on my mac, why isn't there a refresh button? Should there be one?

If i go on safari and access my mail, there is the normal email page with a button t refresh the browser and then on my iphone and ipod, when I access my mail, there is a button to refresh the mail app. Why not in mail? If not, is there a way to install one or open it up in a setting? Immediate help needed!

How to stop 'refresh' button from 'submitting' in advance?

I realised that the records are 'updated' again when the page is refreshed!

First, tou have several items from the select statement, right? So you have several rows in the table, all with a submit button. When you click the submit button, how do you know what submit button was clicked? There is nothing in that code that would let you know what button for what row was picked. So that is one problem. Without solving that problem you can't handle anything else.
You can do one of two things:
1) Make each row, or each button table cell, a form where you have a hidden field that contains some identifying info so you know which thing you are submitting.
2) Use one select button for the whole table and have radio buttons or checkboxes to allow selection of which to submit.
Then on the server side, the page the form submits to should check that the form values were submitted and if so, do the DB updates.
Second, there is no need to be running an update statement for each item selected (in the loop of DB rows). If you do like I mentioned above, you can get rid of that part.

Why do I have to refresh tabs every time I do a search with Firefox 7.01?

Whenever I try to open a new item from a Google search, the new tab appears with the "busy" circle icon, but nothing appears on the screen until I do a "tab refresh." Sometimes I have to do this twice before the site will finally appear.

* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* You must allow that cookie (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions), especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

Why do I have to refresh 2 or 3 times before pages are displayed correctly?

I just recently reformatted my laptop and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 home premium 64-bit. Went through all the motions, blah blah blah.... Anyway, noow when i use firefox, the majority of the time my home pa't ge doesn't load certain elements, sometimes it says pages are unavailable (same screen as when your connection goes out), and then usually loads them correctly after refreshing 2 or 3 times. I have no idea what could be causing this. I don't think it's my ISP. Anyone have any ideas?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Why is there no refresh button on the update of Firefox?

Since I updated I have no refresh button and its quite anoying

Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.<br />
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.<br />
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.<br />
Middle-click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.<br />
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

My refresh button will not appear in 4.0, all I can get is a stop and home button, the refresh shows up in customize toolbar and I can put it up there, but as soon as I close it it dissapears, how do I get my beloved refresh button to show up?

At first I had the stop/refresh buttons merged, which I hated so I tried putting spaces and things between them to stop their unholy union, but instead it has now made my refresh button dissapear in anger for not being allowed to see that dirty stop button! I cannot make it come back! Even if I put it on the toolbar in customize and it shows up, the moment I close it it has gone again.

I have downloaded many themes and it seems as though something is wrong in my toolbar. i am not seeing a refresh button and others, meanwhile my address bar is extremely long like it needs to be made smaller so that my other icons will show

i am not seeing all of my icons in the top toolbar. i am using green kitties, there is only 1 kitty showing. i do not have a refresh button, nor do i have a drop down button to go back to previous pages. my address bar is extremely long and i can't shorten it to allow missing icons to be displayed.

I finally succumbed and downloaded firefox 4. Now I don;t have a refresh button . . . .

Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload, Stop, & Go button that appears at the right end of the location bar. Only one function is ever active at any one time, so combining them save UI space was a good idea. When a page is loading, it is a "Stop" button, when it finished loading, it turns into a "Reload" button, and when you start to type something into the Location bar it turns into a "Go" button.
To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > '''Customize'''" window or right-click a vacant area on a Toolbar, ''except fot the Bookmarks Toolbar''.
* Then drag'n'drop the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the Location bar.
# Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
# Or "Reload - Stop" then put a flexible space in between the two to prevent the buttons from combining.
# Set the order to "Stop - Reload" to separate them and get two distinct buttons.

REFRESH button in Classical report

Hi,
We have one classical interactive report using write statement and we would like add refresh button, so that user need not execute the report from initial screen.
I have added refresh button in GUI and wrote in at user command also, but still not working. When i added refresh button in another ALV report it was working fine.
Is that refresh button will work for write command report? if possible how can we acheive this?

It should work.
Define a button in GUI Status with FCODE 'REFRESH' (or whatever)
in At USER-COMMAND event do:
- get new data from DB
- output new data
Make sure you have the start-of-selection and end-of-selection events in the program.
If you didn't figure it out by now, post your code and I'll have a look at it.
