Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the black retangular frame frame n my screen? It suddenly appeared and everytime I move my mouse it moves with it.

Check System Preferences->Universal Access. Appears you turned ON something there.

Why the images have missed their frame stroke, once online?

I am working on my new website on iweb 09, and published a test, it looks very nice.
The only thing I don´t understand is why the images have missed their frame stroke, once online.
What´s wrong, any idea?

It appears that the Scrips folder for you site has not been uploaded or not uploaded fully. There are two files, iWebImage.js and iWebSite.js. Try the following:
1 - do a File->Publish Entire Site and see if the site works as intended. You may have to do a refresh on the pages a couple of times.
2 - next, in needed, publish your site to a folder on your hard drive. Mount your iDisk and go to the iDisk/Web/Sites/arkimo folder. Drag the two files above from the Scripts folder on your computer into the Scripts folder on the iDisk Then try the site again.
Part of the problem is the server, some files not loading the first time, and part is the missing js files in the Scripts folder.

Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Why am I seeing a black frame with a big "X" through it

I am sure I have not had this problem before.
But today when I tried to import a video file into AE (CS5 Windows), and added it to a new composition, the result in the composition was this big black frame with an "X" in it -- and it is also not the aspect ratio of the orginal footage (which is 1440 x 1080.
I tried adding the file into an existing AE project with no problem.
WHen I click on the MOV file itself, the video shows fine (but also at a narrow aspect ratio -- not 1440 x 1080)
BTW My compositon settings are 1440 x 1080
Any suggestions?

I set up a new project and imported the footage again into the New Composition Icon.
For whatever reason it's still going into the Square Pixel Mode. And not giving me a 1440 x 1080 view. When I went into the comp settings and clicked on Presets I didn't see any that are specific 1440 x 1080. I found a HDV 1080 29.97. But that's making the view wider than 1440 . But even that doesn't do me much good in the Pixel Aspect Ratio settings,,,, (Yes I have a bit of a built in letterbox on top and bottom of my original footage which you are seeing in the below screen capoture.)
Again, not sure why simply dragging the footage into the New Composition icon doesn't do this automatically for me -- especially since this is a new project..... (Maybe there's a "project setting" I need to look into....????)
Realize you're reading this via Iphone. So I am patiently doing other things while I figure this out.....

Why do I have boxes round items on my iMac screen?

Just yesterday I found there are boxes (like the borders of text boxes) round items on my screen. If I'm offline I get a box round a desktop item; if I'm online I get a box round a section of a web page - so the Search box in Google will have a black-lined box added to it and when I search the box will go round something else on the page? There's actually a box round the pane where I'm typing this now.
Anyone any ideas? A different, or perhaps connected problem is that many of the items in drop down menus are now duplicated, so in Safari, on File I get 'Close Window' 'Close Window' - but not every menu item is duplicated

Thank you to Niel. I'd just found a similar post/question where someone was directed to the Universal Access setting and having done it, the boxes have gone and so have the duplicated menu items

TS3533 Why is there a momentary black screen on my iMac?

While working on MS word documents, while organizing photos or while playing a game I get a momentary black screenon my 27" iMac, during which time the mouse is inoperative......it only lasts a few seconds then returns to normal. I also hear a slight click from the computer after it has been running for a few minutes ( it sounds as if a relay is opening).

Something similar happened to me. 27" iMac, built mid 2011. Working on it and screen randomly went black. Apple replaced OSX twice (no difference), replaced graphics card (no difference), logic board (no difference), screen (no difference), power supply (bingo). Apparently there is a separate cable in the power supply that powers the screen. Replacing the power supply fixed my black screen problem... then I got a white screen problem and Apple replaced the iMac, but hey that's another story... so try your power supply.

I have noticed I now have 3 squiggly black lines in the top corners of all the grey frames to windows I open in Firefox. They do not appear in Safari or Opera. Why is this?

I would assume that it is caused by an extension if a new profile helped.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I am running Win 7, and iTunes 10.7. Recently, when trying to play back episodes on my PC of a TV show that I purchased, the playback screen is black, with no video or audio. The time counter is counting down the clock as if it's playing, but there's nothing to see or hear. If I re-boot my PC, the show will play properly, but the black-screen instance has occurred several times now, and I'd like to figure out why it's happening at all.

Do you have a unibody Macbook Pro with a black keyboard, or one of the earlier MBPs with a silver keyboard? If it's the later, it may have the problem described in the article linked below and, if it does, it may still just barely be eligible for a free repair.

I'm sorry that your file didn't convert as expected. Please try the conversion from within Reader, and disable OCR by following the instructions in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel. Disabling OCR can solve some conversion issues (but note that if your original PDF contains images with text, that text won't be selectable/searchable) in Word.

Why do I have to restart iTunes on my iMac to get Home Sharing to work again on my ATV2 and ATV3?

Last week I ordered two more Apple TVs 3rd generation. I have connected them to my network and the ATV2 that I had, seems to be working differently. I have to restart my iTunes on my iMac to get Home Sharing to work again. I go to Apple Support and reference this page (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2972) and it seems to be the only solution, reset iTunes.
I currently have all apple products from end to end. This doesn't seem to be working out as seamless as it should. Any suggestions?

Until Apple gets off their butts to fix this, you can do this. Create a workflow that 1. Closes iTunes, 2. Pauses 10 seconds, 3. Opens iTunes. Then Save it as an Application.
Then...
Create an Apple Script by "recording yourself" launching your new workflow. Save that Apple Script.
Finally..
Go into Mail, and create a Rule that when you receive an email with the subject as "Restart iTunes" it will run your Apple Script (wchich launches your workflow app).
Just send yourself an email from you chair!!! :-) Please reply if this works for you. It works GREAT for me on Mountain Lion!
