Why do I have blue text where white text should be?

A few websites I go to have blue text where white text should be. I looked at other threads and tired what people suggested, but nothing worked. I tired doing it on Google Chrome same thing happens but when I did it on Internet Explorer the text appeared white and normal.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Please go to C:\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Application Data\Adobe\Flash Player\ and delete the folder called '''AssetCache'''
If the problem persists, please download the following two files:
* [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]
* [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe]
Close Firefox by clicking '''File '''| '''Exit '''then navigate to where you saved the '''uninstall_flash_player_exe''' and double click it to uninstall Flash. '''Then reboot'''.
Next, go to the file where you downloaded '''install_flash_player.exe''' and double click that to reinstall Flash.
Finally, start Firefox and see if the problem persists or not.

  • Subject and Address boxes have blue background not white

Thunderbird 31.1.2 running on Win 7 Pro 64 bit clean installation.
    Apologies for sound harsh, but...
I have seen a few posts related to this but I fail to understand why removing the boxes with a clear white background for addresses and subject lines (except on hover and input) was considered to be a beneficial change.
I work as an IT tutor - generally on a one-to-one basis with older people - and this type of change is particularly annoying.
    1) There is no reason for the change.
    2) The change is detrimental to usability. The appearance of the screen changes while entering addresses and email subjects. It must stay the same while entering information otherwise it can create confusion.
    3) Older people need familiarity, not gimmicks! Just because you can doesn't mean that you should! Usability is key; I shouldn't have to 'discover' that the old address and subject boxes are still there by hovering the pointer over where they may be. Everything must be clearly visible.
    4) Having important information on a coloured background with no clearly defined boxes is poor.
This information must be clear and not blend in with the background.
Please tell me when this important part of the email will be changed back to how it was with clearly defined boxes with a white background that is visible at all times, not just when I go looking.
Please remember that there are many more older people using computers these days and it is exactly this sort of change that causes confusion and loss of confidence.
I appreciate that this is all voluntary, but I keep on finding instances of software upgrades (not just Mozilla) where changes have been made to the user interface for no apparent reason.

I understand that my posting may have appeared harsh, but I did read other posts on this topic and none of the ones I saw actually stated that the changes to the address/subject area were not going to be changed back.
Please could you direct me to the relevant posts.
As this is a collaborative project how would I know who has the final say on changes anyway?
Having said that my original comments still stand.
The change to the styling of the address/subject boxes was completely unnecessary and does not improve usability.

  • Red text jagged White text smooth

I have created a text graphice in Motion which I have imported into FCP 7 as a .motn, however when I put the file on the timeline the text is severely jaggered.
I did a few tests with aspect ratios but no matter what adjutment I made, the text is still jaggered.
I decided to try the text in white instead of red and voila, the text is smooth.
I also tried two identical FCP standard text effects side by side, one red and one white and the probelm is the same.  It's as if FCP or the iMac cannot handle the text/font in red.
Anyone know why this might be?
The project is DVCPRO HD 720  (960x720 with a pixcel aspect ratio of 1.33).  I am running on an iMac The font is Arial Bold and the colour number is #FF0000

  • Blue dots where volume control should be.

I just got my iPod nano and when I turned it on this morning to listen to a song blue circles were where the blue bar is supposed to be at the bottom of the screen when you are listening to a song. I can still turn the volume up and down, and listen to the song. But I can no longer see how long the song is or where I am in the song.
Did I just press something to make it do this? Please help me fix it! Thanks - Canadianskibabe

  • I installed LabVIEW 5.1 on an XP machine and some of the VI's, such as fit to curve, do not have icons. Instead, they have a ? where the icon should be, and they cannot be inserted into my VI's. Can anyone fix this?

I am using a Dell Inspiron I8100 Laptop with Windows XP Home and am running LabVIEW 5.1 in Windows 95 compatability [I also did so for the install to get rid of the "wrong os" message]. I am able to use nearly all of the functions, but a few of them did not make the transition to my machine. I cannot use some of the VI's contained in the Mathematics sub-palette, I cannot use some of the demos, and it is really setting me back. Instead of an icon for the Mathematics>>Curve Fit sub-palette I get a ? in an icon-sized box that says Curve Fit for it

From your discussion I have seen that you try to use LV 5.1.
It seems that 5.1.1 will work correct. The difference is that 5.1.1 is compatible with Win 2000 and 5.1 is not. This can by a issue.
Another thing I have seen under Win2000 is the rights a user has. Since you use XP Home there should be no restrictions to the user of the machine. One thing to take into account is do you install and use LV as the same user?

  • Why is there a blue balloon when i send a text and sometimes a green one whats the difference

why is there a blue balloon in the text message when sent. It used to be green what's the difference please Teresa

A green one means the message is sent via your telecomprovider, just like in previous iOS versions.
A blue one means the message is sent via a data connection (a bit like whatsapp for instance). This is done when both you and the recipient have iOS5. If you're on a wifi connection, it should not cost you any money/credit with you telecomprovider.

  • Compund path or white text ona red background with a drop shadow

I have had business cards printed before with white text on a red background & the white wasn't 'punched out' (compound path) of the red so the white didn't print - the solution I was given was to create a compund path in illustrator before saving the PDF to punch the white out of the red & that worked fine ...
I now have dilema in that we want to get some flyers printed that have red starburst with white text over them but they also have a drop shadow behind the red star burst so if I punch the white text out of the startburst the drop shadow then appears through the starburst & the text is no longer white it is the drop shadow gradient from the background - i do not know how to get around this???

As long as your white text isn't set to overprint, you should be fine.  Just place your text in front of your starburst and look at your attributes panel to make sure that overprint fill and overprint stroke are not checked.
I'll bet if you go back and look at the file that gave you trouble in the past, overprint fill is checked.

I have a "/" symbol where my disk should be mounted in disk utility. I was just wondering if this is normal. I feel like it used to be a bunch of numbers and letters (probably saying where my disk was mounted). I have been having a bunch of hardware and CPU issues and maybe this could be why?

    Text Entry Area
Type your text into the text entry lines. You can type continuously: SAPscript fills your text using a line length of 72 characters as soon as you choose ENTER or a function.
To enter text in the line editor continuously, the checkbox Automatic tab at field end must be marked. For more information on setting automatic tabbing, see Setting Automatic Tabbing and Entering Text.
Note that the line editoru2019s text filling has no influence on the final appearance of the text. Your text is formatted no earlier than at the time it is displayed or printed. For more information, see Previewing and Printing SAPscript Documents.

  • Blue background/white text

I agree wholeheartedly with all the complaints above about the offensively bad themes. But I would also like to see MSFT reinstate the option that used to exist in Word 2003 and earlier to change the background of the document to blue and the text to white.
When working on a long, complex document, switching to that contrast is very helpful. I complained about this a lot when Word 2010 came out (I skipped 2007), but MSFT couldn't care less. But now that they have to fix color/contrast issues anyway, why not go
all the way and make the product more comfortable to use? MSFT's stupidity and unresponsiveness is astounding.

I totally agree that we need some new themes. I just started going ahead and changing the page background color to a dark blue and the text to white when I need a little different contrast for my tired eyes... you may already do that but I thought I'd mention
    it just in case:
Maybe the next version will surprise us!

  • Why do i have to have my cellular data turned on to recieve or send TEXT messages?

my girlfriend and i have noticed this most recently.
To send or recieve TEXT messages (not MMS) on our iPhone 5's we have to have our *cellular data* turned on. OMG why? It's supposed to not use cellular data for texting (or callling) so why do we have to have it switched on for TEXT messages (SMS)? Does that mean that texting is now going to eat our data plans?  If so, we'd of been better off with our old cell phones.

no- i think you've hit the nail on the head. (perhaps inadvertantly)
because my g/f and i couldnt get each other's txts, over 3/4 of the time, if the cellular data wasnt turned on.
    green bubble = sms.
    blue bubble=imessage (data or wifi)
all this was with (blue bubble) imessage stuff  (with the thought that it'd use wifi, but the wifi at work *****, so ofcourse it'll use data.
Hmmn. I'm going to shut off iMessage and see if that takes care of the issue.

When it was explained to me it didn't sound to hard of a task, I have no LabVIEW experience and the tutortial sucks.

StevenD: FYI, I did NOT give you the one star rating. I would never do that!

Well, this is an assignment, so it is probably homework.
Why else would anyone give HIM such an assigment, after all he has no LabVIEW experience and the tutorials are too hard for him?
This would make no sense unless all of it was just covered in class!
This is not a free homework service with instant gratification.
OK! Let's do it step by step. I assume you already have a VI with the digital indicators.
"...but have no idea where to begin".
    open notepad.
decide on a format, possibly one line per indicator.
    type the document.
    close notepad.
    open LabVIEW.
Open the existing VI with all the indicators.
    (are you still following?)
    look at the diagram.
    Who made the program?
Does the code make sense so far?
Is it a statemachine or just a bunch of crisscrossed wires?
Where do you want to add the file read?
How should the file be read (after pressing a read button, at the start of the program ,etc.)
    See how far you get!
