Why do i have so much other on my phone and how do i get rid of it
why do i have so much other on my phone and how do i get rid of it
Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

TS1503 Why do I have so much "other" space filled up and how do I get rid of it?
When I plug my phone into my computer my "other" field is taking up 9.3 GB of my space on my phone. How do I get rid of it?! And, what is it even??
This indicates corrupt files. A restore should resolve.

Why do I have a constant notification on my settings? How do I get rid of it? Looked through everything and can't see why it's there
Restore from a backup will get you some 'other' back.

I have 3.5 gigs of "other" what is it and how do i get rid of it?
On my itunes when my iphone is pluged in it says that i have now 3.9 gigs of "other" what is it and how do i get rid of it?
Other is data that does not fit into the rest of the catergories listed on the summary tab. This includes user data and app settings/data.
3.5 GB is a lot... and typically indicates corruption.
You can try a reset of the device and re-syncing, sometime this will clear it up... but typically the resolution is to restore the device from backup first. If that doesn't resolve a restore as new will.
Other should be in the range of 300-800mb. -
My iPhone is 16gb and i have no music, 500ish photos, and about 10 apps I had to delete everything off it because i couldn't take any photos because i had no space! How do i get rid of the storage other is taking up?
I would probably suggest backing up them photos to your computer and then performing a restore on the phone which will wipe everything off and start again.
Instructions for restore can be found here:

What is "other" under usage data and how do I get rid of it?
I was recently given a used iPad 3rd generation 16GB A1416 with IOS 7.1.2. I set up my own Apple ID and then I deleted all existing apps, photos, movies, messages, reminders, etc to make room in storage and then downloaded 4 new apps for my granddaughter that total about 1.7GB. Usage data shows that I now only have approximately 4GB left. When I sync to iTunes to view usage info online it shows the 1.7GB used for apps and it then shows approximately 7.7
GB under "other." What is OTHER and how do I delete it? This is my first Apple product and my first tablet so I really need a little help here. Thanks for any info you can supply.iPhone, iPad, and iPod: Understanding capacity

How to Remove “Other” Data from iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
http://www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-remove-other-data-from-iphone/
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6/7, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

When I open a new page in a new tab, as soon as I type the first w of www, a drop-down menu of 12 sites that I have visited at some point previously appears. These sites seem to be totally random and remain the same no matter how often I clear my history etc.
Basically, I don't want to see them and would like to know how to get rid of them. You can set the Location Bar to show "Nothing":
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: Nothing

Please help me figure out what the extra 30gb is and how to delete it.
The updated created corrupted files.
First try restoring from backup. That usually works
Next would be to restore to factory settings/new iPod -
I am getting a full disk message.
When I check I have a large amount of material described as Other and is coded yellow on the information bar."Other" simply means anything that isn't recognised as music, video, images, software (apps) or a backup. So, PDFs, .doc files, text files, disk images yadda yadda yadda. All sorts of things.

Please Help! Why do I have so much OTHER space on my Ipod Mini
Hi
For some reason I have over 1gb of OTHER taking up space on my Mini- What is it and how do I get rid of it? My Friend has the same model and doesn't have it
Thanks Alot
VickiHi Vicki,
Try resotirng your iPod to factory settings. Typically, that fixes this kind of issue, since restoring deletes all of the contents off your iPod.
For instructions on how to restore an iPod, check out this Knowledge Base article:
Restoring iPod to factory settings
Does that fix the issue, or do you still have too much "Other" space on your iPod?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
