Why do I have to authorize just to play one song?

All of a sudden I am being asked to authorize my iTunes and my husband's mail address appears in the top line. He has never used iTunes, and he has his own Mac. He use to have an Apple forum log in, but he never used it either, he makes me do all the searching for answers. I tried to authorize with my own log in and was told this computer is already authorized. I don't use any other device to listen to iTunes, in fact, I hardly ever use iTunes. Now one song among my most recently downloaded songs won't play unless I authorize it. Even when I try his apple long in, I'm told it's not correct. Please straighten out my head. I've even tried a second email address and password for me, and I still get the same message.

I selected the song in my hard drive and the get info option. I guess the summary tab is the window that opens in get info. I didn't see anything regarding purchase.
I opened my account via iTunes application, something I've never done before, and see that I purchased the song back in 07; I played the song, but it was by clicking on the song which appeared in the "Find" window. I also see where I can report a problem.
I closed down iTunes and reopened the application, but couldn't get the song to play directly from the iTunes application without getting the "This computer is not authorized to play "Hasta Manana". Would like to authorize it?
Side note: I stopped my iTunes process to figure out how to get my husband's Apple ID to work. Man, that was like being on a merry-go-round. Apple wanted him to pick an alias and even though we did, and we followed the procedure an email would be sent to him, the link in the email didn't work, and we ended up right back where we started on the "Create an Apple ID" site. Finally, I fixed the Apple ID problem from my Mac and he's good to go. However, even though he can sign into the Apple Forum, which means he has a valid Apple ID, I still can't get the authorize problem with iTunes to go away.
In the far reaches of my mind, I kind of recall using his email address once when I ordered a song. Don't ask me why, it's too dim.

I am not an expert but here's my two cents:
The exclamation point means itunes cannot find the music file in order to play it. There are several possible reasons for this, including but not limited to changing the name or location of your music library/songs, or storing them on an external hard drive or device that is not currently attached. The solutions for these are different so let me know if any of these apply and we can troubleshoot.

ITunes just plays one song at a time now

It seems like prior to this last update, my iTunes would play each song within a playlist (one song after another, etc).
But now, after it plays one song, it just stops. These are the exact same playlists that it used to play all the way through (one song after another, according the order of the songs within the playlist).
Does anyone know why iTunes stops playing after one song (within a playlist)? Then, I select the next song manually, and it plays it, but of course it stops playing once again when it gets to the end of that song too. Basically it just stops playing after each song. Why won't it just keep playing (each song) like it used to?

Are there check marks beside all the songs in the playlist? Unchecked songs have to be clicked on individually to play them, checked songs will play one after the other. Make sure all of your songs have a checkmark next to the song title. There are small blue boxes that need to be checked for songs to play consecutively.
If the library is unchecked, you can easily recheck things by clicking on a song, going to the top line selecting Edit>Select All, then right clicking on the selection and choosing "Check Selection".

ITunes will only play one song at a time, I can't select an album or artist and have it keep playing the next song.

At a guess you've somehow managed to uncheck the entire library. Select the Songs view, the CTRL+click an empty checkbox. All boxes should become checked. If you don't see the checkboxes use Edit > Preferences to enable them.

First, make sure these items have checkmarks next to their names in iTunes. Continuous playback only works on checked items. Itunes will play all checked items in a list whether or not they're from the same album.
If you see that nothing in your library is checked and you want to check everything, hold down Ctrl while checking an item. This checks everything.
Next, fixing the "1 of 1" problem is easily. Select all the tracks that make up the book/album. Let's say there are 15. Press Ctrl-I. Doublecheck that the album box is filled in with the name of the book, and if not, type it there. Enter "15" in the box for the total number of tracks. Click OK. Now all the items should be "1 of 15," "2 of 15," and so on.

That's consistent with all the tickboxes to the left of the tracks (in Song view) being unchecked.
Go into Song view and Ctrl-click one of the empty boxes to do a "global recheck".
If you can't see the tickboxes, head into your General preferences tab and select "Show list tickboxes" as per the following screenshot (it's for an earlier version of iTunes, but the boxes are in roughly the same place in the recent versions 11.x):

It appears to have gotten corrupted. Delete and redownload it if doing so is free in your country.

Reinstalled Itunes and how have 4 to 8 copies of all music (7,500). This has happened before, called apple, sorry you will need to delete each. question why does it happen and can it corrected without one song at a time

reinstalled itunes and have 4 to 8 copies of each song. This is the third time has happened over last 3 years. Called Apple, they state must delete extra songs manually, is there a quicker way and why does this happen. I have Iphone, can I delete all music and copy from phone?

Man I hear your pain, same happened to me. I never worked out a way of deleting all the duplicates and I'm guessing it occured as you imported your library more than once.
However it is possible to delete everything and copy from an ipod using different utilities out there on the net, try googling ipodutil as an expample, although I don't know if this works from an iphone but it worked for me copying everything back from an ipod into itunes.

You can play music in iTunes in various ways.
Shuffle or repeat songs
Do any of the following:
Turn shuffle on or off: Click the Shuffle button. Shuffle is on when the arrows are blue.
Shuffle albums or groupings: Choose Controls > Turn On Shuffle > “by Albums” (or “by Groupings”). iTunes plays the songs in the order in which they appear on the album or in the grouping, and then chooses another album or grouping at random.

ITunes won't play one song only on my new album it keeps asking me to verify my computer just for that one song. Anyone know what's up?

I have just used iTunes for the first time. I bought an album from the i store. It downloaded to my PC. I can play all the tunes except one. For that one it keeps asking my to verify my computer even though it is already verified. It plays all the other 13 tunes on the album, so I don't understand what is wrong with that particular one. Any ideas?

Apple removed my previous post because I referenced jailbreaking which is a violation of the TOS. Sorry about that!
That said, I can't think of any way to get around the file size limitation. I suppose itunes match isn't really meant to give you access to play all your songs anywhere. It instead gives you the opportunity to download your songs via wifi when you aren't at home. I can't see that it makes any difference one way or the other to Apple but it obvioiusly would make a difference to the wireless provider.
So now, my question is whether this happens on with all carriers. I have experienced this on AT&T. Does anyone here have Verizon or Sprint?

Could be a Corrupt download of that song...

N9 makes a small noise just before playing a song

When I play mp3 song I hear a small annoying sound like a click sound just before the song starts playing.... Does anybody else hear this song with their phone?
Hope it will be fixed in a upcoming upgrade.... To make this great phone even better.....
