Why do I have to change plans when I upgrade my device?
I went to a Verizon store today to check out upgrade devices since I'm due in two weeks. I was told that I would also have to change my plan when I upgrade my device.... why? Never did before. I get 4gig of data for $30, why would I want to pay $70? Makes no sense to me.If that is the case, I might as well check all carriers and possibly switch.
The new pricing is to expensive. Only an idiot would pay full price for a phone. I'd rather deal with the sticky "w" on my keyboard and keep the plan I already have. I am looking at the other carriers and found T Mobile might have what I'm looking for. I can buy a phone on EBay and use it there. I don't need unlimited phone and messaging if I have to pay so much more for the same data plan I already have. I'm under $100 now, the new plan would be around $120. I pay $30 for 4G data. New packages are $70 for the same data package.

You would have to be more specific. You though you were getting only one phone and you somehow have MORE than one phone???? If you only have one phone, you are not on a Family plan. You may be on the More Everything plan, but you can only have one phone and still be on the More Everything plan. You do not have to have multiple phones to be on the More Everything plan. It all depends on how you want to use the phone.
Yes, Verizon has single line plans, but they do not have all of the same features as the More Everything plan. Single line plans are not the best solution for all customers who only want one phone. -

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Why do I have to change source input to mono when it's recorded in stereo through my interface from an acoustic pick up in order to hear anything in playback?
It's a dean markley acoustic pick up with a mono 1/4" jack. It's plugged into a focusrite interface. GarageBand only records it in stereo and only plays it back in mono.Watts100woo wrote:

Which is your OS version ?
Your screen is 1920 by 1080 pixels.
The problem appeared after having worked normally.
When we select a picture from the organizer (album) and click on the edit button. The editor software changes the entire computer resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 640 x 480 (very unusable).
That's not clear for me: did you click on the 'Edit' button on the bottom right part of the organizer, or did you use the menu or the right click popup menu to open the editor? In the second case, you are in the editor workspace.
We tried right clicking on the Elements 13 icon, select properties and under compatibility we made sure that "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" was de-selected, and it was. Cannot find any properties window for the editor?
The editor has its properties in the 'Edit/preferences' menu, but there is nothing about resolution there.
Just to be sure : when you are in the organizer with the left 'Folders' panel shown, you highlight one of those pictures to edit. Then you right click and choose to "go to folder". Do the images are shown as 'offline' ? If that is the case, the original are on an external drive which is not connected, and what you are seeing is a 'preview' copy on your computer with 640 x 480 resolution. -

I am still on Fx 3.6.18 because quite frankly 5.0.1 looks horrible.
Why did you have to change everything and move things around. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new upgrades.

But you can't submit feedback there with an older version of Firefox, currently you need Firefox 5.0 or higher.
The decision to change the GUI was made by Mozilla collectively, not by a small group of developers or by one person. If you put your efforts toward customizing Firefox to suit your tastes, it would be a lot more productive than trying to find out who to blame and where to complain about the changes made to Firefox. Geez dude, it ain't the end of the world. It's only a web browser, which can be easily modified to make it look like you thing it should look. -

If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -

Yes, if you do not migrate from your MobileMe account to iCloud you will lose access to all your services after June 30, 2012.
Lion (10.7.2 or better) is required for iCloud. If you have a MobileMe account Apple are giving you Snow Leopard free of charge, this will install the App Store on your computer from where you will be able to purchase and upgrade to lion. -
I have the original iphone on AT&T with the $20 unlimited data with 200 text messages. I know that I can keep the unlimited data plan when I upgrade to the iphone 4s, but I would also like to keep my 200 text message plan. Is there any way for me to keep this feature? Also on the original Iphone, I could upgrade to the unlimited data plan with 1500 text messages, if I upgrade this feature, will it extend my contract?

If you install those new OS X versions over the top of what you already have, your files and preferences should remain. However, it's a very good idea to have at least one complete backup of your Mac's disk before you try anything like that.
