Why do I have to keep entering my Apple ID password?

Even when I enter an App i have to keep entering my Apple ID password.... This is very annoying so could someone help? Also, I have the iPhone 4S and version 5.1.1 so could someone please help.

once upgraded to iOS 6, it should stop prompting for every update. as far as downloads, if there is more than an hour or two between when you make purchases, it will prompt for a password. i have not found a way around this, but at least they stopped prompting for every update!

Help! I have to keep entering my wifi WEP password every time I slide my iphone 4S on  again.  It doesn't store the password as it should.

The use of WEP is not recommended for compatibility, reliability, performance, and security reasons; WEP is insecure and functionally obsolete. Any reason you're using WEP? I ask, because you might as well not have any security at all, & this is most likely your issue.

  • Why do I have to continually change my Apple ID password?

This is really starting to get me down… The last time I was prompted to change the password was about three months ago. I've just been asked to do it again this morning. This is a real pain because I have to re-enter the Apple ID password now on all my devices in various parts of the system. I thought Apple ID passwords were permanent?

It could be something that needs to be fixed by Apple since there are other reports. I don't use that feature on my 5s so I can't comment. I wouldn't think you have to enter your password over and over. And since there doesn't seem to be any documentation from Apple other than below from this URL, who knows.
Your fingerprint can also approve purchases from iTunes Store, the App Store, and the iBooks Store, so you don’t have to enter your password.
Also, see here which also mentions the issue and that Apple recognizes it as an issue to be fixed.

  • Why do I have to keep entering my itunes password on my ipad?

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to have my iTunes password stored so I don't have to keep entering it after I enter my passcode to begin doing anything?  To clarify, I have a passcode set up to begin after 15 minutes of inactivity.  Once that happens, when I reopen my iPad,  I am requested to enter my iTunes password as well.  This wasn't an issue before the last upgrade.  I have tried to find the answer on my own but I'm not having any luck.
Thanks for any suggestions on how to eliminate this minor hassle or let me know if I have to live with it.

I am prompted to re-enter my Apple ID Password evertime I open iBooks on my iPad and iPhone.  I tried signing out and in again to iTunes but it dd not help.  This only started with upgrade to iOS 7.

  • Why do I have to keep entering my password to check my email?ios7 ipad

Ever since ios7 was released I have to enter my email password every time I go into the mail app on my ipad. I have multiple emails so I have to enter all of them every time. On my iPhone 5, the mail app doesn't give me a problem but the voice mail keeps making me enter my apple password.
It's getting very old and I've started going to my desktop PC to check email because it's so annoying.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Why do I have to keep entering in a filename for my exported movies.

I have 1000s of video projects in Premiere Elements.  When I export them, I have to constantly enter in a filename.  Why doesn't the program default to name of my .prel file instead of Untitled every time.   For example, I have video1-1.prel.  You think the program would default the filename to video1-1 instead of untitled when I export the video.  It gets kind of annoying having to type in the filename every time I export a video.

I could ask what version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system it is running on, but my answer would be
    the same whatever the version.
It just is not the case that the export file name is automatically the name of the project. And, at the user level, I know of no way to change the
"untitled" default to anything else". At least it will offer untitled-1 etc.

  • Why do I have to keep entering my three digit security code

Every time I buy something from iTunes, I have to re-enter my credit card's security code. It keeps telling me I have used a different computer. I only have one computer that I use for iTunes. Assume I know how to keep it secure, is there any way I can have it save the info.

  • Why do I have to keep entering in my Apple ID login when opening music?

When I open my music app ( the apple music app) on my phone, it keeps asking me to enter in my Apple ID password. It's not an incorrect password. And it happens every time I open it. I opened my setting for iTunes and it has my Apple ID username and password logged in mad home sharing is On. It did not do this until I had to switch to a new phone due to itouch issues.

This same exact thing started happening to me a few days ago.
Every time I open the iPod app - I'm prompted for User/Password.  I even changed my password, thinking I forgot it, and still - insists that I enter this information.  If i hit OK or Cancel it just keeps asking like a never ending loop.
Eventually, when I do fill out the info, it will go away until I re-open the iPod app.  This is more of an annoyance than a real issue - but if it's a bug, I hope it gets resolved.
Any support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why do I have to keep entering my username and passord every time I log in??

Every time I log into my e mail I have to re enter my user name and password. There has to be a setting to prevent this. It onlu happens on this computer!!

Test after taking each of the following steps. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved.
    2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly."
    3. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    4. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    5. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    6. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
    7. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
    8. Reset the System Management Controller.
    9. Reset the PRAM.
    10. Reinstall OS X.

  • Why do I have to keep installing adobe flash on my mac

why do I have to keep installing adobe flash on my mac?

You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser, but check this also:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5655?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US  which also covers ‘blocked plug-in’.
