Why do I have to reinstall Flash Player on my system everytime I start/restart sys?

I have to reinstall Flash Player (latest ver) everytime I start or restart my system (Win7, x64, IE10). I have followed all the instructions provided by the Adobe community on correctly installing FP, but to no avail. Is there something in my system that deletes FP when I start or restart the system? Help...

  • I am using Windows 7 and using IE 10, I have to reinstall Flash Player each time I start my computer

Hi I am using Windows 7 and IE 10 and I have to reinstall Flash Player each time I start my computer, even with a fresh install. The same thing is happening on my laptop and is driving me crazy. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem. I have tried some suggested fixes from this forum with still no results. Thanks.

Make sure that you allow Firefox in your security software (firewall).
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 19.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

  • Why am I asked to reinstall flash player in safari over and over

This has been going on for weeks.  I have downloaded and installed the update for Flash Player at least six times, but every time I go to a page with Flash, I have to do it again, and it still doesn't work.  What could be causing this?

I am having the same problem with W7, SP 1 when I open AOL or Firefox.  I have completely removed it and reinstalled it to no avail.  Why has no one answered Mac Video Lady's question and can anyone help me with mine?

  • Internet Explorer 8 have to reinstall Flash Player after each restart.

Everytime I reboot the computer the latest flash player is no longer installed in Internet Explorer 8.
I have tried everything under the sun and can not fix this problem.
    Any ideas?

    Thank you so much, flaviogs
    This has solved the problem.
Will adobe fix this problem with the next update to the flash player?
How long until a newer flash player update?
    Thanks Again.

  • Why do I have to reload flash player every time i Reeboot.

Why do I have to reload flashplayer every time I reeboot. I went on the internet and found dozens of people who have had this problemgoing back for years.

Hi, This is what confused me from your previous post:
    Flash64_10_2_161.ocx
    Flashinstall.log
    FlashUtil64_10_2_161_ActiveX.dll
    FlashUtil64_10_2_161_ActiveX.exe
I wonder why the version listed there is not 10.1.102.64, which is the latest released version of FP?
What is that then that is Installed in your Flash files? Please clarify as I have never seen that.
Let me ask you, do you have a 64bit system? What you listed in System32/Flash is not making sense to me.
Betas are not for me either, I have enough problems. I worked with someone that had the FP beta AND the IE9 beta!! Talk about a glutton for punishment, LOL Especially considering FP works thru the browser, Ha-Ha No way.........
    Let me know,
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • I have to reinstall Flash player on my Mac whenever I restart it, as I cannot play videos in Safari.

This has gone on for a while now - I can't play videos on You Tube or embedded videos in Facebook on Safari - there is either a blank box, or a message comes up to say 'Plug in failure'.  this is getting very frustrating!  Please help.

    See: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1267823
If that fails to resolve it, you may need to also delete the Flash Player folder from your  [User]/Library/Preferences folder
Toaccess it from Finder, hold the "Option" key and click Go>Library
    Holding the "Option" key

This is not a message that Adobe is providing, and I recommend that you not click on the link. It sounds as though you might have malware on your computer.
