Why do i have to type in my email to sign in with google?

I upgraded to a new puter and the lastest Firefox installed now when i open firefox I have to type in my email to sign in WHY?

If the enclosing folder is one used by Mac OS X itself, leave it as is.
I appreciate your advice. I don't know why I need to “leave it as it is” ? I'm trying to create a new folder in the hard drive. (Done this for 30 years.)
I did open the Sharing & Permissions section. system = Read & Write, wheel = Read Only, everyone = Read Only.
Should they all be, Read & Write ?

HI, I don't understand - Seemingly I can't have an any type of PRIMARY Apple ID that has an apple ext. Instead I have to use a work email or even worse a google, android, MS email for my primary address to work - What is the point in directing customers to competitors? I already tried Apple direct but I didn't seem to get a conclusive answer to my question.
Also why can't you password protect the email app on the ipad or iphone? Its really frustrating that my email is availble for anyone to see once the screen password is bypassed. And yet my laptop (which I only use ironically) continually asks for my password once I have closed down.

You cannot delete an Apple ID, you can only choose not to use it. Also, your @me.com address is associated with this ID and cannot be moved to another ID or be used to create a new ID.
All you could do is create a new ID using a different email address with your name in it. If you do you will have an associated @icloud.com email address.

As a rule, you don't have to, although it is occasionally
necessary.

How did you add this object? It sounds like this is a custom
class
named Me, so how are you instantiating this object? Are you
adding it to
the stage's display list? (Does it need to be in a display
list?)

Why do I have to type my username and password each time I log in?(My husband's username and password are always in a dropdown box)

When I go to the wild blue log in and click on the username box there is a blue drop down and it shows my husband's user name.
When I click on it my husband's username and password are automatically entered and all I have to do is click on the login box.
But I have to type in my username and password before I can log
in. I want my username and password in the blue drop down box along with my husband's. Then I won't have to type it in each time.

Are you referring to the SAME computer/login?
If not, he likely has auto-complete (or similar) enabled and you probably do not.

Why do I have to type full URL???

I used to be able to type in the name of a site without typing the full URL, now if it is a new site (not in history or bookmarked) I cannot just type in the name ie.... 'apple', I now have to type in 'www.apple.com'.
This was not the case before, is this the new default of Safari 5, or have I accidentally turned something off in preferences?

Now it just sits there for a while and gives an error message that it could not find the server.

Why do I have to browse all my email contact in the phone app?

When browsing for a phone number in my contact list from the phone app, why do I have to browse through the 100's of contacts for which I just have an email address with no phone number?

You can browse for the name, or you can use the search feature available at the top of the contact list. To move to the top of the contact list and the search feature, select the status bar to go directly to the top of the list and the search option.

I have yet to receive any emails after signing up for Unlocked

I signed up for a 2-year Gamers Club Unlocked membership on 7/10/2014 and have yet to receive any emails regarding the welcome packet which would contain special offer coupons upon sigining up for the service. The same day at the same store I signed up for Unlocked at I also pre-ordered 4 Xbox One games (Destiny, Farcry 4, Arkham Knight, and Evolve) and 1 PC game (GTA V). Most all of these games offer pre-order bonuses such as DLC add-on's, beta access, etc. that I would like to have since I did pre-order them.
I have yet to also receive my Destiny Beta code so is it possible my primary email was being blocked from being sent these codes/promotions? I had to change my unboxed primary email address just so that I could get the verification url email to be able to even post on this message board and ask for help. Why do we have primitive types

I use all primitive values all the time (ints, doubles, boolean etc). However why do they exist when we have Integer, Double etc.
Whats the advantage of using int over Integer, double over Double?

I have to reenter my acount name and password the first time access a site after (being forced to) upgrading to ff29.
Why is that?
I have scores of sites I access and this is a pain in the ass! I used the remember function just to avoid remembering all the passwords.
And don't give me any "use the new sync function", there are reasons why I want some of this stuff local on the computer.

You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Updating previously downloaded apps no longer requires entering your password.
Downloading multiple apps in sequence will also require only entering your password once.

Why do I have to close out of email and reopen it to check messages?

Usually if I do not close out of an email session, when I go to check my messages later my mailboxes show a "!" symbol, indicating there is an issue; additionally, messages that I am trying to send do not go. Once I close out and sign back in I am able to receive and send messages with no problem.
This is only on an issue when I am using the mail function on my iMac - not when I am checking from other computers; and
This is not a password problem. The only thing I need to do to receive messages is close and reopen the application - once I do that, messages are received (and sent) without problems.
I don't recall if I have this issue when checking mail from me.com on my home computer or others, as I rarely check messages from there.
I have an iMac 7.1 with OS 10.6.8 (not 10.4.11 as mistakenly checked off below). This has been happening for several weeks, if not months, but since closing out and getting back into Mail was not a problem I haven't reported the issue until now. Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide.
