Gingerbread is out, tech support and store reps state I should be able to get the update...
I am concerned with all the negative posts about the update....
Verizon is suspsosed to be super huge and awesome network....what makes some people more eligible than others. I think this is poor practice and unfair to customers who pay top dollar for so called top of the line serivce.
I still love verizone, but I'm tired of "Your device is up to date"

Hello to you MarkInGR, and to all other community members that have replied to this post! MarkInGR, I know that you would rather not have gotten a replacement with 2.2. My personal phone is also a Droid 2 Global. I was one of the few to receive the 2.3 update. My wife also owns the D2G. She didn't receive that software update. At this point, we are still considering 2.2 to be the most recent operating system, with the intention to continue to work toward more updates as needed. In the meantime, thanks so much for being so patient!

My iphone 5 is now linked to a 'business' Apple ID. I would like to change that to a personal apple Id that i used to purchase many songs. I did change the apple ID but when I turned on 'automatic downloads' for music, a message appeared saying: 'This device is already associated with an apple ID. If you turn on auto-downloads, you cannot download past purchases with a different apple ID for 90 days'.
Why do i have to wait 90 days to use music i bought with another apple ID? Is there another way to do this so that I don't have to wait 90 days?

Itunes can only provide what the owners of the distribution rights to the music provide.
If the owner of the rights do not provide it, then itunes cannot sell it.
You would have to ask the owners of the distribution rights in each country why they do not provide them at the same time.

Are you connected to high speed internet connection?
Please try downloading from the direct download links available at: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
You might also want to try downloading from a different network connection and check.

Why do I have to wait for someone to respond for me to receive a rescue mail this is unacceptable I am a first time buyer and don’t have time to remember all the sully password and security questions. This just come to show that that all the problems I have been having with my iPhone 5 just carries over to the poor design of all Apple user products.

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
I believe that the 90 day limit is an attempt to stop people logging into their accounts on other peoples computer's and copying and sharing purchases.

I have switched to my regular PC, from my laptop that is now old and not so useful. I am disappointed that now I have to wait 90 days to get all the purchases I made from my laptop to my computer. Why is this? Why can't it be that simple?

The 90 days association to an account should only start if you use iTunes Match or automatic downloads on an account, or redownload an account's past purchases : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 - I believe that it's an attempt to try and stop people sharing/downloading their content on other people's computers/devices.
If you can't wait for the 90 days to complete then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can remove the association, but doing either of those three things on a different account is likely to start an association to that account instead : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Why do I have to wait for something that can be activated now?

I ordered AT&T Internet and a landline only last week. Why can't at the landline be activated now? The scheduling department tells me I have to wait until Thursday August 6th. You would think something so easy could be done immediately through "the wires". I see U-Verse trucks at my apartment complex almost on a daily basis. Why do I have to wait between calls?

I'll try to explain myself.
After making or receiving a call and hanging up I have to wait a minute or so before making another call. If I try to make the call immediately after I hang up the previous call, the call does not go through (the screen does back to the home screen showing 'call ended'). This problem sometimes goes away after restarting the iPhone. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a hardware issue?
My phone is an iPhone 5 32GB with less than one month of use.

It goes away after a reset, but unfortunately the problem comes back. Have not tried a Restore... What would be the proper way to restore? Should I restore from backup or do I have to add all apps one by one, add email accounts, etc.?

I am new to Apple TV and not a sophisticated user of all this new technology. But we decided to plunge in an get the Apple TV box, join NetFlix and all the rest. So far it is a cruel joke on two old people. I selected a movie last night and we had to wait two hours before it "loaded" so we could watch it. Then in stopped cold a couple times.
We searched around couple nights ago and found reecent movies renting for $19.95 and $11.95. What a farce! Why did we buy the $100 box and pay the Netflix and Hule dues to struggle with various devices we don't quite undetstand and then pay more to watch less!
What are we missing here? I'm willing to be educated! Ha Ha Ha.

Did you rent it or buy it? There used to be a requirment that when you rented a movie it had to completley download first. I did not think that was still the case but have not rented anything in a long time. Movie and TV purches are usually avialalbe to start being watched in about 10 - 90 sec. from when you click buy.

That plus the extermely slow start times are a strong indicator that your local network or internet acess have a problem and can not support streaming video. If you are using WiFi for ATV I would start by trying a wired connection.

Once a device or computer is associated with an Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.

Apple TV Newbie - Why do I have to wait nearly an hour to download an episode?

I'm pretty technically challenged, and not sure if the problem I'm experiencing can be fixed, but I recently purchased a TV show season from iTunes and it seems to prompt me to wait at least an hour if not more to download each episode. Is this normal or is there something I can do to speed up the process? Can I download the entire season at once or am I forced to wait an hour between watching episodes?

This is dependent on your network. Check www.speedtest.net
8mbps is required for instant 1080p, 6mbps for 720P, 3mbps for SD (you can switch to SD in the settings)
There are other causes but I would check this first.
