I'm using FCPX 10.2
Yosemite 10.10.3
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011)
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
500GB with 308GB free

It appears Apple's latest update has solved the issue. Whew!

FCP doesn't edit the format the camera shoots. You need to convert the video files to ProRes...then import into FCP.
If you want an app that edits formats natively, look at Adobe Premiere CS5.5.

Video does not display when sending from Final Cut Pro to Motion

Suddenly, when sending an audio & video sequence to Motion, a new Motion file is created, and all my layers come in properly, but the video does not display.
The audio plays fine, and Motion clearly know that there are video tracks there, but it does not display them.
Additionally, when rendering the Motion file back in FCP, it turns in to black video.
I have previous sequences within the same project that were sent just fine, and are editable properly, but any new ones I try to create just come out black.
Help, please?

Do you have Motion mistakenly set to render out with an Alpha channel?
Double click your Motion clip in the Timeline. Go to Modify > Composite Mode in the menu bar and set the Alpha to "None/Ignore".

In Event Library: how to know if a video was used in the timeline of Final Cut Pro X?
An example: In Premiere Pro, the whole video is added to the timeline identified as used in their video library. Facilitating our work on a big project, not to repeat videos. You can do this in FCPX?

The way it works in FCP:
Working from the Timeline Index, you can see lists of all clips in the sequence and their location in the timeline.
You can also do a search (kevn) to narrow the results.

The Apple Store does not show does not contain purchase information of the old unused Final Cut Express. What can I do to register Final Cut Express 2 will not operate in the current OS systems on my iMac. It only is compatible with the G3 or G5.

Why do I keep getting the windows messenger error even after disabling it?

Hi,
I am trying to download the flash player 10 on my windows XP computer. I get the error(s) close "Internet Explorer" and close "Windows messenger" during download. I closed Internet Explorer ok, but still keep getting the Windows messenger error even after stopping it and disabling it. I also have IT on medium and firewall and antivirus disabled.
How do I fix this problem. Please help. I need a flash player for work...Thanks
