Why do i keep loosing a connection when i try to sync my phone

My wife is having a difficult time with her iPhone5. Nothing syncs on her phone unless we restore it to factory settings each time we plug the phone in. Lately, iTunes with send an error message when we plug the phone in and try to sync it which says, "the connection was lost". Any ideas?

Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.

It sounds as if your account has been compromised. I would recommend logging into those accounts from your computer and their websites and changing your password.

Thanks Don-yes i'm using the correct apple id and yes I've plugged the phone into the computer-that's the problem, my computer doesn't recognise my phone anymore altho it comes up in iTunes library it won't sync anymore

Yes because that information is not located on the hard-drive of your new mac! If it is purchased content from the store, than this issue isn't as bad as it looks!

You also want to authorize your Apple ID account on the computer by following these instructions as well:

Basically this link explains to go to the top left corner of your screen where you will see file, edit, view etc! Click on Store in that section and click on authorize this computer, also you want to make sure that the computer will not automatically sync by going to iTunes in the top left corner, just to the right of the apple symbol if iTunes is selected, and go to prefrences, and here you will see back up! Right under the back-ups has an option explaining to prevent devices from automatically syncing which is good cause you may be able to transfer your purchases from there which will put your content into the computer, and if that happens than we don't lose anything

I know you can't help with my Yahoo problem, however, apparently at some time in the past I have went to the Sync and tried to figure it out on both my laptop and my desktop, because I have the long snyc key information. However, when I go to try to sync both computers I never get the box to enter that key on either one. That is my problem. So should I try and get a new sync key and see if that works.

Pocket Tunes and Treo755p - keep getting an error when I try to sync

I just got a Treo755p and I have been trying to add music. I have Windows Vista on my notebook and I hot sync with BlueTooth and with the cable. (I have been using the USB cable when I have been trying to add music.) I downloaded updated Pocket Tunes - version 4.0.7 Bundle. I have music on my Windows Media Player - but when I try to sync with the Treo - I keep seeing the list with Error beside every song. There is no error code. What am I doing wrong?

I banged my head on the wall with the same problem for two days. Tried everything mentioned, and this worked, finally. The problem is that the backup files are not where you think they are.
You need to delete the MobilSync backup folder. I have a Mac. Went to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup and deleted the Backup folder.
Fixed the problem. Give it a try and good luck!
