Just because you are being asked to enter your credit card details doesn't mean that it will be charged for your purchases.

I am having the exact same problem with trying to sync my iPad with my computer. To make a long story short, I had to reinstall Windows for my computer and therefore had to reinstall itunes.
I have done back ups in the past for my ipod touch and other ipods with no problems, but unfortunately I have never been able to back up my iPad. During a sync, the iPad would always disconnect from my computer and it would never finish. it would say the connection was lost, but nothing is wrong with the connection.
So now I have over 100 apps and thousands of pictures that I am afraid will be deleted if I run the sync in itunes. I have tried to transfer purchases and it goes through the list of apps, but nothing is ever transferred.
Any help would be appreciated. I am not interested in jailbreaking my iPad to solve this problem. There should be a fix for this and I want to upgrade to ios 4.3 as the original poster. Please help

I am so sorry I am frustrating you. This is the first time I have used this community and am leanring as I go. I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. When I install JDK then there are two instances of java.exe
(and other programs like javaws.exe). One instance in
INSTALL_DIR\bin\
and the other in
INSTALL_DIR\jre\bin\
So why do I need two exes instead of one?

Or, were you implying that ideally java.exe and javaws.exe should not be in "INSTALL_DIR\bin\" as they are involved in running the java programs.

Why do I need to re-authorize my iphone after upgrades for songs given to me from friends? It requires me to put in their password.

It seems like after every iphone upgrade when I go to sync the phone I get a message stating that their are songs that will be deleted without a new authorization. These are songs that I have gotten over the years legally from friends. In order to authorize I need their passwords. This does not seem to be fair that songs I got 5 years ago I need to supply a password from someone who I may no longer keep in contact with. And if it is Apple's way to get me to buy the song from the apple store I don't even know what songs they may be; the message may name one or two songs and there may be 12 to authorize from that particular friend. Is this normal? Is there something I can do? Thanks.

Now my question is WHY do we need to rebalance the asm_data1a MANUALLY because as per above scenario it needs rebalancing. Should not ASM do rebalancing itself?

I believe you are using Normal redundancy in this case. When you are making the disk unavailable to Oracle, Oracle tries to drop the disk from diskgroup i.e why you see status as "forcing". After that Oracle recognizes that this disk is required to provide redundancy. At this time the disk goes in Hung state. so when you start the storage, then you have to issue rebalance manually. I am not sure why the design is like that. But I believe it could be due to the fact that disk rebalance takes place only when you add/drop disk. In this case you are not adding a disk but actually making it available at OS level. This will not trigger a rebalance.

As property files are external files from which we get our data...Why do we need to recompile our proj. every time we make some changes to the files. Is there any solution to it.

Can I change the currency on the secure url when taking payment for a booking?

I have a website that takes bookings for training courses, the country of the domain is set to UK.
The events module is inside a webapp. When they view the details layout of the webapp, the booking form is displayed as on the page.
I now want to introduce training in Ireland so I need to be able to take the payment in Euros for these events. What I wanted to do is create a sub-domain and set it to a different country so the payment would be in euros but the site redirects back to the secure URL when viewing the webapp item as a payment is taken on this page. As you can only have one secure URL this causes a problem..
Is there a way to change the currency in the secure domain without changing the country in the domain settings? Can this be done using javascript?

I have just started using Pages 5 and apart from the fact that unless other users have updated to the new version they cannot open the document. What are you using to save as a pdf? Reader doesn't have anything to do with creating the pdf. If you are simply using the "Save As>PDF in Word then yes, it's a Microsoft issue. No Adobe product is involved in that part. Adobe Reader is only seeing what is created.
But, when you say it's being cut off do you mean it's cutting it off in the pdf itself or is it all visible in the pdf but is being cut off when you print?
