With sparse information you give I would venture that you have not set up the correct Outgoing Mail Server settings in Mail>Preferences>Accounts. Contact your ISP for their set up.

Why arent I recieving all incomming e-mails, when I havent got any spamfilters?

I have been recieving e-mails from the same adresses, but sometimes some of these e-mails don't come through. People will ask me why I didn't react to them yet, but I didn'get them.
I use this for business and it is important that I recieve all e-mails. Clients must be able to reach me. Now I'm not sure they can reach me all the time.
I have no spamfilters installed, so my believe is that this problem lies with Thunderbird.
Please help me, I really hope some one can solve this.

Thank you for that link. I checked and tried some of the tips. But it says that it is when you recieve an alert that a new message has arrived, but can't see it, there for are the tips. I don't get an alert eihter. I just get an angry person who's waiting for my answer on their e-mail to me. They don't know I didn't get it, and I didn't know they send it...
I found that the virusscan could maybe be the problem, this was in the checklist also. So I have checked, but the spamfilter on my virusscan hasn't stopt any e-mails, and there is nothing in the quarentine....
So still haven't found the answer.

This is a recent thing. The error message " the sender address was invalid" pops uo when I try to send. I checked the settings and everything seems the same as when it was working.

Try looking in the contacts app or where you typed the email adress at the top to see if it really is the right email.

I receive emergency requests for service thru e mails. my old BB let you assign separate sounds for incoming e mail addresses. can I duplicate that with Iphone or MUST I be woken with each and every incoming e mail?

I have email messages alert sounds turned off except for VIP addresses (of which I have only one). That means I only get alerted for that one address.
To add a Contacts entry to VIP senders in iPhone Mail:
Open your list of mailboxes in iPhone Mail.
Tap the > button next to VIP.
Select Add VIP… at the list's end.
Tap the desired entry from your contacts.
Then, in Notifications>Mail, turn off the souds for your email account but enable them for VIP.
Note that all VIP emails will have the same tone. It's more like the Priority feature on a BB than custom text tones.

Why is my iPhone replying a blank email to every incoming message?

Firstly, I've tried setting up my Gmail account to sync through the Microsoft Exchange setting; but this doesn't work any more. But I managed to set it up using the preconfigured gmail option in the configuration menu. This receives mail fine. My problem is that for every incoming message, it sends a blank message -- which in turn causes bounces/automated no reply messages etc.
Why is this?
As far as I'm aware there's no option for sending receipts that I can see?

Is 3G turned some? What you describe sounds like GSM buzz.

I've configured the system for receiving e-mails. It worked for some time and then stopped. As far as I know no changes are made. I've restarted the server. I tried the test described in SAP Note 607108 - Problem analysis when sending or receiving e-mails. this is the result:

(1) - The service SAPConnect in SICF is acive. I always reactivate it after every change in its settings I made.
(2) - I disabled all inbound processing:
.              (a) - SO28 - I deleted all lines
.              (b) - SCOT - I deleted all lines about the Inbound processing

The program RSBCSIN returns a list for the period the incoming e-mail was functioning - 07-29.07.2010. There are no records for later received e-mails.
I will restore the records in SO28 and SCOT.
Do you have any idea what is wrong? Do you need more information?

Mail is automatically archiving every incoming and outgoing message, and then synch'ing that with my iPhone -- thus sucking up all available memory. I have never asked it to automatically archive everything, and can't figure out how to stop it. Any ideas?

Launch Mail.
Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced
Uncheck the box beside "Include when automatically checking for new messages".
Do it for all accounts if you want.

How can I change the mail settings so that every reply is listed individually in the inbox instead of having them "stacked" behind the original message. I'm afraid I might accidentially overlook messages the way they are handled now.

Somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong, but what you have to do is go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars and under Mail, turn off "Organize by Thread". I think that will make each message show individually.

Double check to make sure that your same email addresses are set up on both devices in the Messages settings. Also ensure that you have text messaging forwarding turned off if you do not want to receive them on your iPad.

Also on most autmated systems, if you hit 00000, or ##### you can sometimes get thru to a person.
Is Yahoo your Internet provider? Do you have a local provider? ei:AT&T, SBC, cable co, check who you make your check or epatment to...etc, If so I would start there, but if no joy go to the "Mothership"
I may be wrong about this, (it's been a long time now) I may have deleted my mail account from Mail (after writing down all the info from all General/accounts, and the rest of the tabs, and then added a new account using my existing email address, and it may have "walked me thru the rest of the proceedure".
But like I said it was a long time ago 3-4 years, but that may have been the path I ended up taking, make sure to write all the info down in case you need to re-enter it all manually. Then try calling them.
