  • Trouble receiving FaceTime calls on my Mac Mini using OSX Mountain Lion

I have a Mac Mini using OSX Mountain Lion, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4.  I tried to receive  a FaceTime call on my Mac but it was telling the caller that it was busy.  I was however able to call her iPhone from FaceTime on my Mac and we connected that way.  After our video conversation I tried testing this by calling my Mac from my iPhone.  I also received the message that it was busy.  I should also add that when I first received the call I had my iPad FaceTime turned on.  The iPad was ringing but not the Mac.  So I turned off FaceTime on my iPad and had her call me back again using my email address.  As noted it said it was busy.  Please help!

  • Why do I receive phone calls on my iPad?

I received a phone call on my iPad with iOS 8. How do I stop that. I don't like using a speaker phone on my calls.

It's probably the new Handoff feature.  https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/continuity/
Go into Settings->General->Handoff and turn it off.

  • I can not receive FaceTime calls from my mac when i call it from my iPhone

it was all fine and now i can't recieve facetime calls but i can make them, doe it matter if i have the same email on my mac and my iphone?

You should have a separate, verifyible e-mail address for your Mac, and a separate, verifyible e-mail address for your iphone.  Having the same address for both can cause the issue you're having.

  • Can we receive phone call on your Mac via bluetooth handsfree?

id like to connect my iphone 4s to my macs bluetooth
so wen i get a call i should be able to use my macs mic and speakers for phone conversation i have seen bluephone elite but its outa date.. can this not be possible Apple products should be able to speak to each other

No. It's not possible. You can submit feedback to Apple requesting such a feature by using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

  • I cannot make or receive telephone calls on my MAC

I am on the same network and have the latest devices. I have been on the phone with Apple, but they have not been able to help me ( they tell me that the procedure is new). Anyone out there having the same problem?

I'm sorry, but we had made so many changes (the Advisor and I) and it was only after I shared y home screen with him that he had me disable my anti-virus firewall....and everything worked fine afterwards. We went through a number of steps including removing a number of neighbors wifi signals and most important was the changing of the wifi channels. If anyone is using an Anti-virus program, I would suggest that they disable the firewall and then see if their devices connect to the same wifi.

  • Help two macs with identical setup and one does not receive phone calls using Yosemite and iOS 8.1 on iPhone 6. What is going on Apple?

Ive got an imac from 2008 and MBPr from 2013. the imac does indeed receive regular calls but the newer  mac, the MBPr from 2013 does not.
    what is going on apple?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), iOS 8.1

i got it. I fixed it by setting Time Zone in automatically in both iphone and MBC
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences > Date & Time > Date & Time.
    Enable "Set Automatically".
Click the Time Zone tab and confirm the closest city is correct.
do the same in the iphone and it will work

  • One agent not receiving the calls in UCCX7.0

    Dear All,
    Greetings!!
We have UCCX 7.0(1)SR05_Build504 and call manager UCCM System version: 7.1.5.30000-1.
    - We have many team with basic IVR options for customers, one of the Team called "customer service". The customer service team have 6 to 8 agents. All have same CSS, partition, CSQ, Resource Groups and Team mapping.
    - The issue is, only one agent not able to receive the calls in the team. The user is properly configured in CSQ also the resource group and team configuration is fine. we have compared with working user and found all config is fine.
    - The user is logged in properly and always in ready state in CAD, but no call routed this agent and no error message observed on the agent side.
    - The user extension is 5154 and the user configured on call manager is Dennis. Fonseca. The UCCX Resource name also showing properly.
    - I have collected the MIVR logs and i can see the extension 5154 and agent name. The calls are routing. am not have much idea about MIVR log analzis, so icouldn't find the exact issue.
    - Please find the MIVR logs and help me to understand the issue or why the calls are not routing to this agent even logged and ready mode???
    Working user name is -
    5158 - Gabriela.Quesada
    Non-working user name is -
    5154 - Dennis.Fonseca
    MIVR Logs attached.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Naveen.S

    Hi All,
Thanks a lot your advise on this... the issue has been fixed after restarting the CRS engine..
    53278074: Jan 13 09:42:23.568 GMT-600 %MIVR-SS_CM-7-UNK:returning null from ContactMgr.offerResource(Dennis.Fonseca) because esds.size() is 0
Basically, the UCCX Engine is not allocating the Agent (Dennis.Fonseca) to the Queue and that is the reason why is not receiving any calls even the Agent is “Ready”
    Thanks & Regards,
    Naveen.S

  • Can't receive FaceTime calls on Mac

I can't make or receive Facetime calls on my Mac. It looks like it tries to answer but then gets rejected. When I tested it w/ my iphone it said that the caller was busy (when nothing was going on on my mac). Does this happen to anyone else and is there a fix for it?
And before someone posts it, I've already gone thru the basic troubleshooting instructions so just dont send it please...

Did you eventually get it to work? If so what did you do?

    Good day Sidharth Namrta,
It sounds like you are unable to make any calls, but you can recieve them, and everything else seems to work fine. I recommend you use the troubleshooting in the following article to help you get that resolved, named:
iPhone: Troubleshooting issues making or receiving calls
Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a carrier settings update.
Check for an iOS software update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
Reset the network settings: Tap  Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try to make or receive calls in another location.
Attempt to isolate to one network band:
If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
Contact the carrier to check the following:
Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

Okay, you are correct the call is not supposed to ring in. Have you done any troubleshooting on the phone? First off, try power cycling the phone. Turn the phone off, then back on again. If that does not work, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. See if that changes things. Is the caller using the exact number that you blocked, or is it possible they are using another number, or have restricted the Caller ID?
