Why do I see a boxed "A's" instead of type on some websites?

I've had my iMac about a month. A couple of weeks ago I began to see rows and rows of small outlined boxes filled with a capital A, in place of where there should be type. I did a Safe Boot, things returned to normal. But as soon as I restarted the following morninign, the boxes were back. How can I get things back to normal?

Do you have two font managers on there?
Like something other than Font Book, an app that came with your Mac?
Also, did you add any free fonts to your Mac?

You probably mean a yellow question mark. That means that the photo is "missing" or "disconnected" from the PSE catalog. That is, the photo no longer resides at the location recorded in the catalog for that photo. Most likely, you used Windows Explorer to move or delete the photo after you imported it into PSE. Boot into safe mode and then restart normally. That resets the font databases and should do the trick.

Iphoto 11 does not show anything except a box with dashes instead of pics? some pics are there, but most are not just recently,

also i had a problem with Lion in app store on my mac mini 2009, kept saying that i need an update, many suggestions but
one that worked was disconnect my external drives to see which one caused the problem and that worked but '
does that mean i cannot use the drive anymore?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and the support article linked below for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode* (by holding down the shift key at the startup chime) to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.

In the year view, why is iCal coloring the boxes?

In the year view, why is iCal coloring the boxes and what does each color mean and how do we change it? It makes no sense or has any rhymn or reason according to what is in my calendar.

By default it is colored by the number of entries for each day. From white for no entries through yellow to orange and then red for the most entries.

Assuming Apple doesn't eviscerate the files of the secondary graphics with another upgrade, there could be a plug in that reads the graphic and runs along side iTunes..we should get someone or Apple to program an alternative If we have to accept this downgrade in iTunes proper.
I've developed a quick workaround, and am still hoping Apple will fix this!
Go To Get Info on the tune you want to see secondary artwork for.
Go To the Artwork tab
Drag the back cover to the desktop, and it will create a new jpg you can open with quick viw or prieview where you can see it large!
you end up with a lot of jpgs on the desktop to discard!

Without more information, speculation is a waste of time. At the least tell us what you do, what the results are, and how that result differs from your expectation. Then tell us what steps you have taken to resolve the issue, and what the results of taking those steps was.
