  • Why do some apps stop working after update to iOS 6?

I notice one of my apps stopped working after the iOS 6 update, in particular Uno HD, which I paid $5 for.  Why did this happen?

I had solved the problem by installing the free app, which seemed to reset something, then I deleted the free app, and the paid version continued to work until the next day.  I was going to show one of my friends the game, and then it once again would not open- the same problem was back, as soon as I went to open it, it crashed back to the desktop without opening the game.  I had to re-install the free version again, and for a while, neither version would work, but then after a while, it started working again.  I guess I have to leave the free app installed or I won't be able to use the paid version of Uno.
    EDIT
Just checked again, took the Uno app out of resident memory by double-pushing the home button and holding the app icon til it starts to shake, and then hit the minus symbol, which deletes it out of resident memory.
Went to open it again, and it of course crashed back to the desktop again.  So there is some issue with it that is making it unstable.
I have to keep pushing on either one of  the app icons continuously until one of them starts, and then the other one will start.

  • Why does  my computer revert back to old setting on restart

i have an imac running 10.84.  whenever i restart my machine  everything resets to an old  setting -  iI  cant  seem to effect a permanent  change  when I  want  to -  for  instance  if  I  remove apps from thedock  and even  delte them  they  reappear  at next restart. If i delete an old email  account  it  reappears at  next restart.  So  do  all my  bookmarks in safari -  I  cant  add a  new one  or  delet an old  on a permanent basis . Its driving me nuts! I have  turned  time machine off thinking it  could be that  but  there is  no  difference. I  wonder if its  to do  with icloud backup  somehow but  cant  figure out  how . Any  help  much appreciated!

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.

    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Mercedes User interface does not revert back after a call

I had my iPhone 4 paired to my Mercedes and was happily using the bluetooth connectivity for making and receiving calls .
But lately when I make a call by dialing from my phone and then disconnecting the call using the car control, the car screen does not revert back to what it was and it remains in the phone mode.
This does not happen when I pick up a call using the car control.
Any idea as to why this might be happening .

Uninstall then reinstall RNR.  RNR does not like to be cancelled via task manager.... this creates a mess.
Reinstall may also fix your issue with productivity center..

  • Why do some Apps stop working after synching?

Each time I synch my iPhone 4S with iTunes, a number of recently added apps won't work.  They only "shudder" but won't open.  They are however, on the list with the other open apps.
Also, My phone keeps telling me that 7 apps didn't not synch and that I should refer to my ITunes for more info.  Can't find anything...???

I had solved the problem by installing the free app, which seemed to reset something, then I deleted the free app, and the paid version continued to work until the next day.  I was going to show one of my friends the game, and then it once again would not open- the same problem was back, as soon as I went to open it, it crashed back to the desktop without opening the game.  I had to re-install the free version again, and for a while, neither version would work, but then after a while, it started working again.  I guess I have to leave the free app installed or I won't be able to use the paid version of Uno.

  • Revert back after installing OSX Mavericks

I would like to know how to revert back to my previous operating system after using OS X Mavericks for several months.  I have no need of iCloud or the other advanced communications benefits and they keep interfering with how I use the iMac.  Thanks

If you cloned the hard drive before upgrading, just restore that clone. If you did not, then you will have to back up all your data, erase the hard drive, and reinstall the OS and your applications and then restore your data. If you look under "More Like This" at the right, you should find further information.
    Regards.

  • Can I revert back after upgrading to Mavericks operating system? Can't get my Adobe software to run properly.

Can I revert back to a previous operating system after upgrading to Mavericks? Since installing Mavericks I can't get my Adobe software to run properly.

Thanks, for your replies. I've got a late 2012 iMac (2.7 GHz Intel Core i5). I was previously running Snow Leopard - Not sure exactly what version but it was right up to date.
The Adobe software I'm using is the Creative Cloud. Specifically InDesign cc. Whenever I try to browse folders through the InDesign software the browser window closes before I can do what I need to do. So I cant place images into my InDesign document or save documents properly.
On the Adobe website it says that they worked with apple to fix any bugs before the Mavericks release but there's lots of complaints on the forums. I've left a bug notification with Adobe but I don't expect that they will be offering any solutions or software updates any time soon.
I really just want to revert back without too much trouble.

  • Data Source security settings are revert back after correct it !! (SCCM Reporting Services Point)

I have a strange situation here: SCCM 2012 SP1 and all components are OK and running smoothly BUT all reports report the error:
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot impersonate user for data source 'DataSource2'. (rsErrorImpersonatingUser)
Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct. (rsLogonFailed)
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I correct the password and click test connection and it is successful ...few seconds the setting revert back and if I change the settings totally it reverts back to as if something prevent it from change !!
the strange thing that I tried to remove the reporting services point from the site server and the reports worked well and the setting not change
what make the settings of the data source created by sccm 2012 reporting services point revert back preventing the report from running
by the way all authentication and permissions are given to the account that running reports and connects to the database
help me finding solutions and thanks for all great experts here

I am also experiencing this issue.  I have tried modifying the Data Source credentials directly from the data source configuration on our SSRS web site.  I have also tried changing it from the CM12 Console under the Reporting services
point, specifically the Reporting Services Point Account.  No matter how many times I change it, it will revert back to an account we don't want it conifigured for any longer.
Mucking around in the registry, I found the following keys that seem to reference the configuration:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\SRSRP
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\SRSRP\Datasource
It appears as though the Datasource key contains the configuration under two String Values:
    Reserved 1 = User name
Reserved 2 = guessing encrypted hash of password
Doesn't seem like it is even an option to change the configuration here, but at least this is some more info.
Any help on this would be great... until then, I will keep digging.

  • How can I get my apps data back after I restored my iPod Touch 4G?

I just factory restored my iTouch and I backed up my iCloud data just before. How can I download the apps back as if they were before I restored my iPod?

  • Why do episodes come back after I delete them?

After I delete podcasts from the iPhone they always come. Ack the next day. They are showing all the way back to December.

But it's only supposed to download new content. So if I delete old items, then I expect to only auto download the new items from that day.

  • Why won't apps synch, even after authorizing this computer?

My computer had all its files dumped and restored and the computer was no longer "recognized" as the authorized computer. I also bought a new iTouch. I merged the old iTouch with the computer, then synched my new iTouch. When I tried to synch apps, I got the messsage that this computer was not authorized. So I went to store>authorize this computer, and it says it is authorized, but I still cannot synch the apps to my new iTouch. I repeatedly get the message that this computer is not authorized.

I have a similar problem trying to sync a new iPod Touch with the PC. I have 2 authorizations activated, both on the same computer. I did not deactivate before doing an upgrade and uninstalling iTunes from the PC. When I reinstalled it, I ended up with a second activation (but only one account). I tried to deactivate, but could only do one. I found out how to deactivate all when there are 5 activations (a button comes up), but not all when only 2 computers are activated. So, like you, when I try to sync apps, I have to activate, then the screen says that this computer is already activated, ok, then the activation screen comes back and I activate again, then screen says already activated, ok, then .... endless loop. This is a bug. Can someone please help?
    Thanks

  • How do I get iTunes & the App Store back after the update.

When I updated my phone to iOS 6, I lost iTunes & the App Store. I tried opening iTunes on my computer & doing a restore, however, that caused me to lose the rest of the apps on my phone & since my computer runs on Windows I can't sync apps. How do I fix this?

Go into settings > iTunes and App store.. your friends email will appear there.. tap and hold until it highlights gray.. then a box will come up  press sign out and then enter your user cardentials where your friends were.
