Why do my artwork from a song is repeated for other songs if i didnt do anything to the other songs
i placed an artwork for a song and it automatically appeared artwork for other songs when i was playing music on my iphone, it seems like an album i didnt create it. please help this is frustrating me....
Go to preferences.Go to store .UNCHECK show itunes in cloud purchases.Click OK.I had this happen.you should not lose your songs.I did not lose mine.I believe you are merely hiding the cloud song from view.Did you "bite"at the pop-up to update itunes software.I did.That may be the culprit.

Yes you can. How to: Right click on that song, click on get info, click on Artwork. From there, you can upload any album artwork. Its all up to you.

as an admin @ school I was wondering how to make created folders/ files from one teacher, read only for other teachers?
- In a 2008domain, created a group "teachers"
- created a folder "teacher data" where all teachers have read/write permissions
ideal,a teacher who make's a folder in "teacher data" should be the only oen who is able to add file's to that folder and dele that folder or files. Other teachers may be able to read the content of the folder.
Is this possible to set up and how?

You could set the permissions below to resolve the issue:
For the root folder "teacher data": give the full control permission to CREATOR OWNER – "Subfolders and files only" and give the read/write permissions to the group "teachers"– "This folder only".

ITunes displaying artwork from previous song when playing list.
Since updating to iTunes 10.5.1 yesterday, when streaming a playlist to the AppleTV, it is displaying the artwork from the previous song as it goes through the songs. Ideas?
I'm having the same issue. First song played shows the correct artwork, but then it lags one behind each successive song. I've tried restoring the Apple TV, but that didn't help.

Is there any way to remove artwork from all songs on iPod?
I need to clear all the artwork from my iPod so I can put them back on, as right now they are all mixed up for some reason. Any way to remove all the artwork? I unchecked the display artwork button under my iPod preferences in iTunes preferences, but even after updating the album artwork is still there...
If you are in Windows, you can try this...
Close iTunes.
Go to the folder that contains your music. Select TOOLS then FOLDER OPTIONS from the menu at the top. Pick the VIEW tab. Change the appropriate opttion to "SHOW HIDDEN FILES". Click apply and close...
Now scroll down through your music and you should see files named "Album Art.....". Drag all of them to the trash or some other folder. If you are not sure about all this, just don't empty the trash.
When you run iTunes again, it should not be able to find the artwork. I'm not sure what you would do next but this gives you a start!

Artwork from podcasts is getting mixed into other music
I started downloading podcasts recently, and shortly afterwards I found this problem. The artwork that comes with podcasts is getting mixed into my album artwork and vice-versa. This is only happening on my iPod, not on my computer. In iTunes, the artwork is with the correct files. The only way I've found to fix this problem is to:
a)delete the artwork from iTunes
b)sync my iPod
c)attach the artwork back onto the file
d)sync my iPod again
It only happens with some albums, in a random pattern. Anyone else have this problem? If so, is there a permanent fix? I've got the latest version of iTunes.Known but rare problem. No known fix.
There is no need to delete the artwork from iTunes. Just change setting for iPod, sync, turn on artwork option again, sync again. -
As i say in my ipad mini its only grey pictures as artwork for my tv-series, its no problem with, musik, books or movies only tv-series, what do i do wrong ?

Thanks for tossing out ideas. I am getting to the point my memory is not bad or is it they are changing the software daily to include and drop options...
I just tried to sync a single tv episode. It did not sync it, but oddly enough it does recoginze that it is selected, because wihen I undelect it after a sync, i get an apply button as if uncheck it is making a change. But space available does not change either way, nor does anything end up on the device.
Do not think too hard on it, it is not a "rush" item, just an annoyance with the software does not work as one would expect it to. -

Completely new to macs, just bought a mac book air. I bought a My Book Live wireless external hard drive and copied all my photos from pc lap top to this drive. When I go to iphotos i selected 'switch library' and can click on the my book drive fine. all the photos then appear in the window but theyre all greyed out so cant be clicked on. when i go into the photo preview app they all appear as thumbnails and can be opened as normal. help!Set the Finder preferences to display mounted hard drive on the desktop:
Then you will be able to select the hard drive and type Command + i to brin g up that info window.

The printer used is a Brother, and the reports show that the WLAN is ok and the network configuration is all set up. restarted printer and computer. Deleted printer and tried to add it again and Mac won't do anything. connection with the printer is lost.

I'm not sure about the cause of your problem and I'm no expert, but since you only seem to have trouble when you awake the mini, let me give you a few ideas...
On the D-Link Home/DHCP: what is the lease time of the DHCP server? If it is short, try setting to 1 week. Maybe your lease expires while your mini is in sleep mode and then your mini can't get a new IP since it is already "connected"?
On the D-Link Advanced/Performance: what Preamble Type is selected? Short Preamble has given me trouble in the past, so try changing it to Long Preamble, which seems to work better with Macs.
My Mini is connected to a D-Link DI-624 and it has always worked like a charm, but I don't put my computer to sleep for long periods of time (couple hours at most), so I never experienced that problem.

You've checked the purchase history on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

So I had an iPhone 3gs and I had all of my music on there. it slowly started breaking until the point where I was forced to buy the iPhone 4. So before the 3gs died I never had a chance to sync it with itunes. Why do I keep getting a pop up menu asking me for my password in itunes to enable automatic downloads? I turned it off in the itunes preferences several times. iTunes still gives me a pop up message asking for my password. Please help.
Automatic downloads is for when you download something on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and automatic downloads will download these on your Mac or pc, eliminating the need for syncing. But I have limited bandwidth at home so I do not want this feature. Mine actually stopped bugging me for now, I cruised around the whole community looking for an answer and different things seems to be working for different people. It just seems to be a bug that will hopefully be fixed in an update. For me, I put in my password, even though I didn't want it, made sure it's not set to allow automatic downloads and tested it and it worked. It hasnt bugged me since, but it may come back over time.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can do it but you shouldn't. Time Machine deletes old backups when your Time Capsule gets full, so you will lose your iPhoto libraries and the pictures they have.
If you want, one thing you can do is to move the iPhoto library to another external disk, so you will get free space on the hard disk
