Same thing happened to me. What I did was:
Go to Settings, go to Facebook, look at where it says: “These programmes can use your account” and switch off Contacts. Doing that deleted the double contacts I had on my phone and only left the original ones. Because let’s face it, I am friends with many people on Facebook who I’d never call.

I'm sorry...you actually don't need to log out & log back in. Just go to Settings within the FB App & you can change it there.

I just got my first cell phone, an iPhone5. I added my contacts via my Mac. But the phone on its own imported the contact info of all 5000 of my Facebook "friends." When I go to one of them, hit edit, and try to delete them, the phone tells me that I cannot delete a Facebook friend. This is a nightmare. Why have my contacts disappeared and been replaced with some Facebook friend names?

A few days ago, all of my contacts disappeared and were replaced by the names of SOME of my Facebook friends. None of these have any telephone contact information, it's all email addresses associated with those Facebook friends. For instance, my husband's name, emails and phone numbers were all deleted from my contacts - help!

Look under iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is there a backup listed for her phone? First thing done when you sync is an iPhone backup. If you have not synced since screwing her phone up, restoring from that backup(if it exists) should restore her content. Do not sync after you restore her phone, eject it. So, first disable auto-sync on that same device pane in iTunes before you proceed. If this doesn't work, is your sister bigger than you? If so, run 'cause her data is gone .

Safari won't let me post to Facebook friends' walls, but I can post if I use firefox. Why?

Safari will not let me post to facebook friends' walls. If I use Firefox or Google Chrome, I am able to post to facebook friends' walls. Since I updated to Lion, Safari is much faster than the other browsers, but the facebook issues are very frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I stumbled upon the answer to my own question. The culprit is one of the safari extensions called facebook cleaner! After in uninstalled and emptied my cache, it is working!

My facebook profile photo shows up on an email to a friend who has a yahoo email address, but is not my Facebook friend. All my FB privacy settings are at the max. Is this a Yahoo privacy issue? I don't want my photo to go to other than FB friends.

New User - Spotify hasn't shown any Facebook friends

I just signed up for Spotify via Facebook. It seems to show me everything fine, artists, celebrities I can follow, apps, except for Facebook friends. I have Spotify exempted from the only firewall I use. It just doesn't show any possible Followers from Facebook. It only says:Facebook Friends on Spotify: There are no more people to show at this time. I've signed out and signed back in several times, the problem is persisting. **Update**A friend managed to link me to music, which linked me to her profile. Facebook friends are still not being shown.

Spotify is going backwards! It isnt possible any longer to go through the friend list and select a friend and view his/her playlists and songs. Why is this SPOTIFY??? You are going backwards! I signed-up/login to Spotify with my Facebook account, but I can't find any of my Facebook friends in Spotify, it's like it cannot detect at all and it is showing wrong birthday (different from my Facebook account's) can anyone please enlighten me? thank you very much!

Hi! I ended up deleting my account with Spotify and created a new one. It works just fine now. Apparently if you sign up with spotify at first with an email and later on decide to log in using Facebook with the same account, it has trouble linking to your FB account. If you organize it with the Spotify team, they can delete your first account and then transfer all your music and followers to your newly setup account. Hope this helps! :)

You can't delete an Apple ID. Furthermore, everything you transferred is tied permanently to your friend's Apple ID. You do not legally own that software. If you want that software for yourself, then you need to purchase it using your Apple ID.

HT5500 How do I get all my facebook friends OUT of my icloud contacts?

This is a HUGE problem for me. I don't know what setting I change to ull my facebook friend info into my icloud contacts files on all devices, but I want to reverse it and make them gone!!!! GONE I say. If someone thought this was a good idea and it was a universal update, they must have been on LSD. I am continually amazed at how specific to each device these settings can be, or at least how specific they can seem. chrisfromgastonia, I did figure out that unchecking contacts in the facebook settings on my iphones solved the bulk of the problem. However, there wasn't a facebook groups to uncheck in my list of groups. Likewise Smith121, there was no facebook account enabled in my contacts application on my computer, so I could not do that. However, I do have another groups related question. Ever since this last update pulled all my facebook contacts into my synchronized contacts, the groups function on my contacts doesn't work anywhere. All that happens is that if I try to access a specific group, the check mark beside the name of the group gets unchecked. I used to be able to select a group and then have the full list of members of the group come up and only those names. No more, there is no accessing the members of the groups, only the names of the groups to look at which does NOTHING AT ALL to help me. Any ideas? Advice?

I take it you have a Jabber account set up in Messages ?
A Google Mail ID can access Google talk which is a Jabber Server and if you have Enabled "Chat" at Facebook you will have a Facebook chat ID that can be used in Messages as they too run a Jabber server.
Of course these are just two of many Jabber and compatible XMPP servers.
I don't have Facebook or Twitter but I did use the Menu bar icon for Notifications and clicked Messages and Sent a Messages to one of my Jabber IDs (it logged me in and sent it from my Google one).
In the System Preferences > Notifications I do have Share Button set (Messages only).

New Facebook friends not showing up in contacts.

When I first got my phone I added my Facbook information into the Droid 2 accounts and it added all of my Facebook friends into my contacts on its own. My question is, does the phone automatically add new friends? I added a new friend on Facebook today and its not showing up in the contacts on my phone. I don't see any sync settings for Facebook, just a box for your email and password.

I also noticed that people's pictures are'nt being updated in contacts or social networking droid app.

Can't see which Facebook friends have Skype

I have the latest version of Skype for Desktop and whenever I select 'Find Facebook friends' the Home Page doesn't show me the list of friends who have Skype.
