Why do my iPads never work

I have purchased 4 iPads in the past year and a half, every time it always seems to glitch. I have been forced to purchase a refurbished ipad which is absolutely terrible. I rely on my ipad for so many different things being a freshman college student. I use my ipad for everything. This is ridiculous! Why won't they give me a NEW ipad since the ones the have given me have just gone kaploot. this *****! I am furious with Apple. What should I do?!?

O.k, that is very very strange. don't know what to suggest, I'm stumped. Going out on a limb ,make sure there are no magnets nearby or other type of electromagnetic interference.
Its very unlikely several different devices would fail the exact same way, unless there's some external agent causing this to all of them.

Why my Push Notifications never works?

I don't know why, but my Push Notifications never ever worked with any of my apps.
I've tried everything, all the options in the Settings are on.
Tried to restore too, but no sign of notifications.
I am kinda frustrated, specially because of the new Notification Center feature.
Does anyone know why am I having this problem and how can I fix this?

Deactivate itunes account: Go to settings > itunes store & appstore > sign out from the account 'Apple ID: xxxxxxxxxxxx' >
Restart the iphone/ipad
Reactivate itunes account: Go to settings > itunes store & appstore > login

I think the subVI is working just fine when called from the main. I think what you're expecting is an indicator on the main VI to update as the subVI runs. What you will see on the main front panel is just the last value that a subVI has. That is the intended behavior of subVIs and function calls in all other languages. If you want to to update a front panel indicator while a subVI runs, pass a reference to the indicator into the subVI and update that reference instead of the indicator on the subVI. The other way is via a global variable. I've attached a modified version of your porgram.

Not sure what 'goes crazy' means but it most likely should not do that. Try a reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Also try it plugged into another outlet (on another circuit) and/or try another charger.

Why, oh why do Soundblaster patches never work

I've had this problem with other soundblaster cards many times before with many different platforms, but I go to play Doom 3 today, which I haven't done for a while. The last time that I played it, I had a different video card and speaker set. Now, I have an Audigy 2 and Soundblaster 7. speakers (so, you guys can't pass the buck on this one [something technical types love to do]), and Doom 3 will only work with Stereo sound, which sucks. So, I look the problem up and they want me to download the unsupported beta patch to make my 7. actually work. I download it, and viola, surprise surprise, it says that it can't even detect the Soundblaster 2 on my computer. Every other program or application on my computer doesn't have a problem detecting it. I'm thinking that the shop that writes your patches needs to be sacked en mass. Anyway, does anyone know a magical trick to make the patches actually be able to detect my cardlol And again I ask, "I paid a lot for this, why doesn't it work properly." Thanks in advance for any help.

First of all, do you have an OEM card? If so, I'm not sure if the Beta patch will work. Secondly, the Beta patch is only valid for the original Audigy 2 and the Audigy 2 ZS, NOT the Audigy 2 Value. Thirdly, before the .3 patch, Doom 3 only supported 2/2. or 5/5.. It will only allow you to pick "Surround" (5.) if you Windows speaker settings are set to 5. (although your Creative speaker settings can still be different). Lastly, if you use the .3 patch (along with the Beta drivers), assuming you have an Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS, you should be able to use 7. speakers if you turn on EAX.

Why does dictation almost never work?

The vast majority of the time I try to use dictation, it does not work at all. I double click the Fn button, and the microphone comes on. But usually it "maxes" out, or conversely, does not seem to register any sound at all.
Seriously, it happens probably 75% of the time. Then only occasionally it works fine.
If I restart the computer, it works again. But it would be nice if it could be dependably used. I'm not going to restart the computer when I'm in the middle of an email.
As a question b, I heard that dictation would learn your vocal patterns to improve it's performance, but does that require anything from the user? How does it correct itself? I never have the option of clarifying the words for it- I just erease them and correct them.

Match frame works if you pay attention to the auto-select buttons. To match to an audio track, be sure that no video track is auto-selected. FCP will match to the lowest numbered audio track that is selected. (I hope I have this right - not in front of my system now).
About Find Bin. Yeah, it doesn't work well. If the clip in question was originally captured into another project, then brought into your current project, it will not work. This is a major pain for those like me that have an assistant load tapes in a separate "assistant project."
I make my living with FCP, but this, and a few other "features" really drive me nuts.

Your iPhone doesn't require as much power to charge as your iPad needs so there is a possibility that the charge could have a problem even though you were able to charge the phone. If you can try a different power adapter and still have no luck, then the only thing left - IMO - is to contact Apple support and see what they advise.

I'm not trying to be a nitpicker - but what you described is a hard reset and your post gave no indication that you tried a software restore - which I referenced in my post. That's why I suggested the restore.
Many times restoring the iPad to factory settings can help "revive" the device. If you have tried restoring according to the two support articles that I directed you to and still have no success, you are probably out of luck getting any further help on this site. That's all that you can try at this point at least AFAIK.

Something could be clogging the download pipe.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Nobody here knows the definitive answer as to why the original iPad will not run iOS 6. Only Apple could answer that question and they aren't saying. The bottom line is - it isn't supported. I have the original iPad and in my opinion, the processor could never handle what iOS has to offer. There would probably be crashes galore and the iPad would become a useless brick.
If your asking and looking for a reason is cathartic for you, have at it. But you are just wasting your time looking for the reason.

The kit is firmly inserted in thhe iPad's dock ? You could also try a reset and see if it's recognised after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
I haven't had problems using the kit with SD cards from Canon cameras . What capacity is the card, and it's an SD or SDHC card - if it's an SDXC card that's formatted as ExFAT then it won't be recognised

TS2634 I bought a ipad back in December and the ear buds never worked. The sound doesnt come out of what you put in your ear but comes out of the little hole on the outside of the ear buds. Is this supposed to be this way?

The earbuds that came with my ipad have never worked. They have sound that comes out of the outside hole of the earbuds. When you put them in your ears no sound can be heard. Has this been a problem or did mine just come broken?

I have the same problem and it has just started in the last day or so...
Got the phone late July and then in the last day, everytime I plug into PC or take a photo, I get the same "Disk Error / Retry message"
What is interesting is that I always had the Photo Storage location as the Memory Card (detachable). Seems odd that sometime in the last month or so the phone decided to change my setting to the Mass Memory. Might have been an firmware update that I have done in the past but not sure.
Changing the Photo Storage Location back to the Memory Card has stopped the error coming up everytime a Photo wastaken, but the message continues when I plug in the phone to the PC.
Phone was just updated to latest firmware this morning and that has not helped, although during the back-up process I could not save some files from the Mass Memory.
I wonder if Optus will shout a new phone because their technicians are useless with past experiences and to be honest the N97 really promises so much but offers very little compared to all of my last Nokia's.

Make sure the wifi signal is strong enough as the iPad uses twice the normal bandwidth (receiving youtube video and sending it to the Apple TV).
if it isn't strong enough, try to move your wifi router closer to the Apple TV room or get an additional router.
