    You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have  by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them
    If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Why does my iPad take forever to charge?

    Why does my iPad 2 wi fi take forever to charge?

    The quickest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
    Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
    At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes.

  • Why does my iPhone take forever to turn on?

    Recently my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0.1) takes at least 10 minutes to power on after the battery dies.  Sometimes up to 30 minutes.  Any idea what could be causing this?  Obviously I'll do a full restore if I have to, but trying to avoid that if possible.  My phone is NOT jailbroken either.  Thanks!

    First, it is not good for the battery to run it into the ground -- don't do that often if you expect it to last.  When this happens, the phone needs to build up enough charge to boot up safely, which probably explains the 10 minute delay.

  • Why my computer backup takes forever?

    It use to take less than an hour to back up my 27 Go, on the last backup everything went well except that time machine informe me that it had to erase the oldest backup since my unit was full. Now yesterday I started up another backup and after 5 hours there was only 7 Go backed up, I stopped it and then took upon myself to free more space on the unit before starting a new back up session. After more than 12 hours now, the backup is even slower 3.77 Go only???
    Have anything like this happen to you before? What should I be looking for to correct this problem?

    Have you applied the 10.7.5 Supplemental Update http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1599? That fixes a Time Machine/Spotlight slowdown issue.

  • Why does the autocomplete take forever when addressing an email?

    Orignal iPad. OS is current. It takes a long time for the email addres to show up after I type 4-5 characters. A lot slower than on iphone,, macbook and intel mac desktop. Used to be a lot faster.

    The files on your internal HD and/or backups may have been damaged by the power loss.
    Verify your internal HD, and Repair your backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
    If you have trouble cancelling a backup, see #D6 in that same link.

  • Why "Finishing import" photos takes forever?

    I see other people complaning about similare problem long before, but I never had that problem.
    Within last week or so (I don't know if this iOS7 or iPhone5S or may be some update to iPhoto) the finishing import photos from iPhone into iPhoto takes hours. All photos get imported, then it asked if delete them from the iPhone and after I click Delete it takes very-very log time to finish. Eventually it does finish, but the first time I had to leave it overnight.

    I have the exact same problem: iTunes optimizes photos at an incredibly slow three (3!) pictures per minute (not second!).
    My system: fairly new Dell PC, brand-new video iPod, brand-new iTunes version (7.3.2.6, downloaded and installed today).
    I'm sorry to say this, but iTunes performance is a joke. It's not just syncing pictures: whenever I plug-in my iPod, the iTunes UI will freeze for about 20 secs. Note: not the OS freezes, just iTunes. The photo synchronization feature is simply unusable. What's the point of having 30GB of space, if I it takes weeks to fill them?
    And please: don't tell me to get a different OS. First of all, every single piece of software works like a breeze on my machine, except for iTunes, whose usability reminds me of the good old days when you could not use your PC while printing. Secondly, if I spend about 300 bucks on a device like an iPod and the manufacturer claims it will work with my OS, I EXPECT it to do so, nothing less.
    That said, I waited for the next iTunes update to fix these issues. Now that I have installed it, and NOTHING has changed, I'm quite upset. Stories about unacceptable performance have been around the blogosphere for months now.
    Dear Apple, I don't need snazzy new iPhone or TV features. I simply want the existing, advertised features to work as expected. Now.

  • Why does Time Machine take forever?

    Just using Time Machine for the first time today. It's been running for nearly four and half hours, only displaying "Indexing backup..." with no progress indication at all. Does it really take this monumentally long the first time you use it?
    Sorry if this question is redundant... I find the new Apple discussions board absolutely horrible to use... use to be super easy to search thru previous posts but it seems like the new search function can't find anything. (Another case of a company fixing something that wasn't broken and ruining it in the process.)

    Yes. It must copy the entire contents of your hard drive to the backup. Are you backing up to a networked drive like a Time Capsule? If so, it will take even longer. Don't bother trying it without connecting via ethernet cable first. Event then it will take overnight. Subsequent backups are very small and will work fine over WiFi, even faster with a directly connected disk.

    Apple doesn't bother trying to be everything to everyone. They make the best products they can in what they think is the best way. If you think that is horrible and broken, you are free to go elsewhere. Searching for this topic is definitely something I would consider super easty. I was quite familiar with the old system and the old search engine. It was profoundly broken and useless.

  • Why do thumbnails take forever to load?

    As the title suggests - why do the thumbnails take forever to load?. It is incredibly frustrating as I'm dealing with over 500 clips and I have to wait for these thumbnails to load. I come from Avid and decided to switch to Premier because of the available workflows. I've never had this issue using Avid so I know for sure it has nothing to do with my system. Any ideas? Furthermore, the media say that it is pending every now and them, why is this?

    Same issue. I've chatted with customer support and I'll summarize how helpful they were.
    Customer support took control of my computer in order to try and resolve the problem. I'm not sure what they did but they made everything WORSE. They deleted all my cache and did a whole bunch of other crap. Thumbnails don't load anymore - period. Questions regarding my other concerns - media pending, videos not playing, audio not importing - were completely ignored. Now here is where it gets better. This guy helping me out didn't respond for 30 minutes, I was wondering if he was further looking into it, but then it hit 7PM, when customer service closes. Apparently when the going gets tough and they have no idea how to resolve a situation, Adobe bleeds out and waits for 7PM to hit so they can just brush us off. I'm pissed.
    Looks like I'm going back to Avid and just round trip to Divinci.

  • Why does it take forever to verifiy my keychain code

    When I try to verify my keychain on my Iphone 6 it takes forever to verify the code that was sent to me.  Why does this process take forever to complete?

    Your title and question are two different things.
    I have no idea what you are asking?
    Not sure if your asking why you don't get email on your phone after you've changed the password or why the email doesn't delete when you deletee it from the computer?

  • All CBS, Youtube & Xinmsn videos fail to play on Firefox 4.0 all day long. Once 12 am (Singapore Time), ALL videos start to play Perfectly. Even Headline News takes forever to download until midnight, such problem suddenly disappears. WHY?

    '''My Fujitsu laptop is one-month old. Initially I use IE8 and had problem watching videos. Once, an Action Message appeared advising me my API Driver is not working and directed me to HP instead. Fujitsu advised me it's a malware and a scan of Malicious Software Removal Tool was executed, nothing was detected. Ive had Norton Internet Security on my laptop. I switched to Firefox 4.0. All videos - CBS, Youtube and Xinmsn videos fail to play during the day, between 1 pm till night (11 pm). The only time every of these videos start playing Perfectly is around Midnight 12 am. (Singapore Time). This happens every day and night. How is it that during the day and night, every site including Headline News takes forever to download (transferring data takes unusually long time) but around midnight, such problem instantly disappears (and I can download sites very fast)? Also, ALL videos malfunction all day long till night but miraculously return to perfect function around midnight. This is real weird. Can some kind soul help me with this please? ''"

    i would suggest you backup and reformat the windows.
    Previously i also encounter similar error you encountered found out is malware attack, some of the antivirus are not even able to detect them. There are alot of users posted online which you can google around.
    i had tried remove the malware using those so-called malware removal but things gets worst. So finally i reformat the Windows and everything go back to normal.
    Personal advice, don't click or install those unknown message prompted from website. No antivirus or malware protection software can prevent this if you are letting then to get in your system.
    Cheers and hope i did help you in resolving your error.

  • Saving Data back to DB Takes Forever

    Hi,
    I've created a multithreaded application which reads in data from a Database A (on Sybase Server), performs number crunching on the data, and saves the data to Database B (on SQL Server). I'm using JTDS for the sql server and JConnect (Sybase Drivers) for the Sybase server. The problem is it takes forever to save the data. I think it's getting blocked somewhere but can't seem to figure out where. Here's is a stack dump of the thread which is saving the data:
    Thread [Thread-9] (Suspended)
         SocketInputStream.socketRead0(FileDescriptor, byte[], int, int, int) line: not available [native method]
         SocketInputStream.read(byte[], int, int) line: not available
         DataInputStream.readFully(byte[], int, int) line: not available
         DataInputStream.readFully(byte[]) line: not available
         SharedSocket.readPacket(byte[]) line: 841
         SharedSocket.getNetPacket(int, byte[]) line: 722
         ResponseStream.getPacket() line: 466
         ResponseStream.read() line: 103
         ResponseStream.peek() line: 88
         TdsCore.wait(int) line: 3928
         TdsCore.executeSQL(String, String, ParamInfo[], boolean, int, int, int, boolean) line: 1045
         MSCursorResultSet.cursorCreate(String, String, ParamInfo[]) line: 536
         MSCursorResultSet.<init>(JtdsStatement, String, String, ParamInfo[], int, int) line: 154
         JtdsPreparedStatement(JtdsStatement).executeSQLQuery(String, String, ParamInfo[], boolean) line: 424
         JtdsPreparedStatement.executeQuery() line: 777
         CachedRowSetWriter.deleteOriginalRow(CachedRowSet, CachedRowSetImpl) line: not available
         CachedRowSetWriter.writeData(RowSetInternal) line: not available
         CachedRowSetImpl.acceptChanges() line: not available
         CachedRowSetImpl.acceptChanges(Connection) line: not available
         SaveData.saveToDB(PTConnection, CachedRowSet, String) line: 36
         Data_3G(Module).run() line: 61
         worker.run() line: 21
    and here is a stack dump of a thread which is waiting on the save data (all other threads -- 10 threads in total -- are at this point:
    Thread [Thread-1] (Suspended)
         SaveData.saveToDB(PTConnection, CachedRowSet, String) line: 29
         CDMAVoice(Module).run() line: 61
         worker.run() line: 21
    Thanks for the help!

    Off hand, I doubt anyone knows a solution to this unique problem, not without actually looking at your code and how your doing threading (but you never know). Why do you need a multithreaded application? Why not one thread, open the first datasource, read in a pile of data into memory (not just one record), close the first datasource , process it, , open the other database and write it out. close that dataSource. Loop until all data is transfered. If all works ok, see if you can change the code to keep both datasources open at the same time before closing them.
    I assume your using connection pooling throughout.
    Again, off hand, I dont see a multithread application really speeding up the application much, my guess is that the bulk of the waiting is read/writing to the database and not processing. This is just a guess.

    I have a HP laptop & Dell desktop with IE7 and Firefox. I use Firefox more as I like it better than IE, yet the pages in Firefox load so slow. I thought the new version of Firefox was so much faster, but it seems to drag along and take forever to load pages. Why is this??
