Go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendars. Scroll down and uncheck Always Bcc Myself.

Hi,
Every time when I push to reply to an incoming email and then push to send, this "sent" email appears on "Inbox" as well as on "Sent" folders. Its quiet annoying to delete them manually from inbox every time. Why sent emails should be on Inbox? How to avoid it?

You're welcome.
BBC is short for Blind Carbon Copy. When addressing an email, if you place a contact or contacts in the BCC field along with contacts in the To and CC fields (CC is short for Carbon Copy), the contacts entered in the BCC field will not be seen with the email recipients entered in the To and CC fields when the email is received by all recipients.

Try the remove and re-add the email account.
Also, what SMTP port is being used?
This is the configuration that works normally.

The users are sending emails both to internal and external accounts, the emails are received (transferred) but in sent items appear as pending in bold letter.
The system is a Groupwise 7.0.4 in a Linux server.
Any suggest ?

Each email appears twice in Notification Center.

Every time I have an incoming email, it appears twice in the notification center. How can I change this?

Hey that actually helped me fix my issue. I went into settings -> Mail -> My gmail account -> Mail folders to push. I then unselected everything but the inbox. No more double notifications.

Why do my sent emails show up in inbox?

I have a gmail account that I use for my iphone email. Everything works fine, except...whenever I send someone an email, a few minutes later I hear the "email chime" and I think "oh good, they just wrote back." However, sitting in my inbox is a copy of the email I just sent to the person. Any ideas why this happens and how I can get this to stop?
I went in to my email settings and "Always Bcc Myself" is OFF.

I'm really sorry, but I'm not sure what a POP account is...I wanted to be able to use the email system built in to iphone so I created a new account online via gmail and then set up the account in my iphone using instructions from a book I bought (the iphone pocket guide).
More importantly, I cannot find the "recent" setting you mention within the email setting on iphone.

Old sent emails appearing in my sent box with current days date

A couple of weeks ago, my iPhone got soaked and stopped working. I restored it over and over again and it started working again. A couple of days later, old emails from my .Mac account started appearing in my sent box in my mac mail with that days date on it as if it had been sent on that day. I think the offending emails might have been in my outbox on .mac but it was some years ago so I can't remember
Can anyone shed any light

Well it appears that the problem has corrected its self. Deleting all accounts, deleting the mail preference files (there were numerous) and then setting up my main account again has fixed the problem.

I just started several different addresses why does the same email appear in every address

Just started using Thunderbird and now need several addresses. The top one is my main address but every email to that one appears in all the others as well.
I am sure the program should be able to deal with this.

Why do my sent emails show in my inbox?

I am using Gmail with the Apple Mail app.
When I select "Inbox" it also shows my sent mail whether it has replies or not.
How can I get the Inbox, Sent, etc selections again?

This has been posted before.
This is a feature of Gmail. Everything you send gets sent back to you so you always have a copy of it on the server, no matter where you send mail from (iphone, mac, pc, etc). For example, with most mail servers, if I send mail via the mail application, the only place I can view it is from that mail app. If I go on a different computer and try to view the mail I sent, it will not be there. This is why gmail sends a copy to the server.
Not sure if you can get rid of it. I just move them into the sent folder.

Why does my BIS email appear on one line regardless of punctuation?

Can anyone help?
I am using a BB Storm 9500 and wanting to use BIS email to receive and send my work emails.
Unfortunately, when I reply (to one or all) or forward emails the text appears in one continuous line regardless of the punctuation I use.
The signature also appears on one line despite having put paragraphs in.
PLEASE HELP THIS IS DRIVING ME MADE.

The BlackBerry ONLY sends email messages using text format, since and easy, with HTML.
Different email readers, like Outlook, can designate to view it's recevied email in plain text only. I am guessing your email reader in Lotus might treating the received messages as having soft returns in the body, or something like that.
I really don't know, I have seen something like you indicate, but rarely and it never bothered me.

Why does 'Minimize' and 'Zoom' appear twice in the Window menu? They appear under the rule, where all the open windows are listed.

Running FF 6.02 on Mac OS 10.6.8.
Window menu reads:
Minimize
Zoom
Minimize
Zoom
[open window 1]
[open window 2, etc.]

Why does 10.9.1 appear twice in list of recently installed updates?

Today I installed the 10.9.1 update (German) on a MBP13 late 2013 that already had 10.9
No functional problems so far - but the 10.9.1 update ist listed two times in the App Store's list of recently installed updates.
I am not sure if something went wrong with the update, or if its only some display issue in the update list.
Is this something I have to worry about?

Both entries in the list of installed apps are labled "MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Late 2013)".
Hopefully this is just some sort of mix up with an already started/running download in the background and the manually triggered download.
In my App Store settings, I previously enabled "search for updates, download in the background & notify when available".
I did not get any notification - I just opend the "updates" section of the App Store manually and it showed that 10.9.1 is available. When I clicked "Laden" (German for Download), a dialog opened telling me that the Mac will have to be restarted and that other current downloads would be cancelled (I had no evidence of any other download). When I cancelled the dialog, the 10.9.1 downloaded started, indicated with a progress bar... although I cancelled the dialog...
But as everything else is fine as of know, I'll just ignore it.

I can't see my sent emails, both on laptop and iphone

I can't see any sent message on my mac mail. In the preferences of mail, the checkbox for sent mail is checked. But still no sent email appears. And on my iphone, i don't know why but also there i can't see any of my sent emails.

I´m not sure I understand, but try "alt + cmd + a" in mail.

Are you using the Mail Ap which is apart of the Mac OS?
Are you using an Email linked to the Mail AP, I.E. Gmail, Yahoo?
I have noticed this issue with my Yahoo Account. Certain sent items will only be viewable on the device I sent the Email on. When I log in to my email from my Web Browser all sent mail is there. This is as far I know... I think there is something with Icloud in my suspicion will resolve this.

I have several accounts in Thunderbird. One of them appears twice - I know it's an exact copy becasue if I rename one folder, both accounts have the new name. The other accounts show only once. Mystified.

@christ1 Yes, using the same logic windows limit is something like 16 extbytes. Reality is 4Gb pulls it up.
There has been recent work on the messageid that will be in the next release, might even have made it into a recent security and stability release. But until that happens Thunderbird has 4Gb limited messageid numbers. I am still not convinced a non IMAP folder can be successful in the 4Gb plus range. Only time will convince me all the ugly realities have been fixed.
