Why do my templates change from page to page?

I hope this is a basic questions...
If I create a template using rows and colums on page one and copy and past the contents to a second page, the content will move. Is there a way to anchor the columns and rows so they do not move? It's been driving me crazy.

No i have not done that.......I will try! Thanks. I have read where a few post say try removing a screen protector to clean. I do not have one but I did get a new screen due to me carrying it in my bag and the corner cracked a bit. Could the new screen be the problem??

Are you sure you have the right printer?
In UNIX/OSX printers are virtual links to devices and even with the same name can be trying to reach a printer via another network address, so it thinks it is another printer.

Drop Zone Template changes from 8 to 2 sec

Why does a template with a drop zone change the duration from the existing duration to 2 sec? I drop a picture into a drop zone either in the viewer or on the project window. Am I doing something wrong? Library selection/drag to viewer or project window/drop on drop zone.

Or is the the other slightly diferent one? The Moments1 template has been released as you can see from the above & got a good testing/bashing, so I know it works!!
Its a bit late here, so give me a few hours on Monday & I will test the Moments2 if you say its that one.

Why does my iMessage change from iMessage to SMS text randomly?

My iMessage will randomly change from sending an iMessage (to contacts that also have iMessage) to SMS text. When this happens, my internet also stops working. Safari, Twitter, Facebook, everything. It always happens at the same time and then it will randomly come back but it is frustrating because no one receives my texts during that time.

Settings > Messages > Send as SMS > OFF will stop iMessage from reverting to SMS, but it will not fix your network issue.
The fact that your contacts are not receiving SMS from you is something, along with the network issue, that needs to be addressed with the carrier.

How can I export comments and tracked changes from Pages to Word?

I just purchased Pages and tried to export a couple pages of my document to Microsoft Word so I could send them for review to a client who does not have Pages; however, when I copy-pasted into Word, none of the comments or tracked changes showed up in the doc., only the finished product. I've tried updating my software, but that hasn't worked. Is there a way to fix this?

Here is what the Pages User Guide says:
" Exporting Pages Documents to Other File Formats
If you want to share your Pages documents with those who aren’t using the latest version of Pages, you can export your document to file formats that they may be able to use on their computers or other devices:
• PDF: You can view PDF files in iBooks, and view or print them in Preview and Safari. You can edit them with a PDF application. Fonts used in the Pages document are preserved in the PDF file.
Hyperlinks in your Pages document are exported to the PDF file. Hyperlinks are also created in the PDF file for table of contents entries, footnotes and endnotes, webpages, email addresses, and bookmarks.

Updating template changes to pages

Error code 3 constantly appears when trying to update pages

How can I export comments and tracked changes from Pages to PDF?

Hello,
I would like to know how I can export my pages document to a pdf that still keeps the comments I had made in the pages version. I am using the latest version of Pages by the way.

Last week I printed a Pages '09 document to PDF and it carried over all the comments and marked up changes. This week I foolishly updated to Pages 5 and it won't do this anymore. If you need to print to PDF and get the comments in the document, you have to switch back to Pages '09, which I am doing tomorrow. Cannot believe they gutted Pages like this.

Why can't I change the page range?

If I try to print a single page (say page 3) from an AppleWorks 6 document, the Print… dialogue box will not accept anything except the default "Page 1 to Page 1".
The solution is to Quit and Relaunch AppleWorks 6. Now the Print… dialogue box accepts your desired page range. This behaviour is not a one off, it's repeatable.
Can anyone suggest a workaround?

Perhaps not the right forum - but nevertheless Appleworks does seem to have got increasingly buggy with each new system update. As Apple are no longer developing Appleworks, instead concentrating on iWork, there's unlikely to be a solution forthcoming.
I find it helps if I quit and re-open Appleworks after working in it for an hour or so - I think it's just caches filling up but can't be definitive on that.
Either way, do ensure you save your work regularly so the glitches don't catch you out. In my opinion it will be a while before iWork can truly take over Appleworks' mantle, so I'll be continuing to use it, bugs and all.

Why is httpwebrequest result different from page source viewed through browser?

I am trying to use httpwebrequest to download the page source code from Yahoo Finance pages, e.g., https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/q/op?s=AA&m=2015-04
The httpwebrequest method returns much less information than the page returned by using "page source " in Firefox. How can I use visual basic to return the full page of data?

It is most likely because the page is executing some java script to obtain the additional content, or there are additional links which need to be traversed.
But it doesn't really matter because you are not allowed to build a program that scrapes a Yahoo website. When you use their services you agree to their terms, and within their terms it states "You agree not to access the Yahoo Services by any
means other than through the interface that is provided by Yahoo for use in accessing the Yahoo Services."
This is common for most major websites. If the website wants to provide programmatic access to its content, then it will provide an official API for that purpose. You may wish to review their
Developer Network and see if there are any options for programmatic access to their financial data.

Why can't I change the page range in Appleworks 6?

In Tiger, the Print… dialogue box allows me to print all pages, all odd pages and all even pages - but not an individual page (except for page 1).
However individual pages from the same document to the same printer (but via my Panther laptop) are handled without any trouble.
Can anybody offer a suggestion?

As I wrote in my late post, this feature works flawlessly for me.
I assumes that something is corrupted.
It may be in AW's preferences or in the file itself.
For AW's preferences, look at Peggy's good old tip:

If it's in the file, try to save it as an AppleWorks 5 document.
Open this new document with AW6.
This protocol forces a complete rebuild of the file's internals and remove the embedded print record.
So I hope that you will be back to a standard behaviour.

Why does the colour change from web browsers to CS5?

I´m running OSX 10.6.4 on a MacPro 2009, 2x2.26, 16 gb RAM.
Photoshop CS5 12.0.1.
When I import photos from the web (Safari or Firefox) to Photoshop, the colour changes drastically.
The only time the colours stay the same, is if I set the colour management to North American General Purpose 2, but this is a setting
I can´t use. I need to use my Spyder 3-calibrated RGB profile as RGB work space, and I use Fogra 27 or a specific cover art profile
for CMYK use.
I enclose a screenshot of my settings and the problems that occur.
Can someone help?

When I import photos from the web (Safari or Firefox) to Photoshop, the colour changes drastically.
Most of the photos on the Web will be un-tagged sRGB (if they have a tag, an embedded profile, Photoshop (and color-managed browsers) will pick up the profile and display it properly...).
The short answer is to open the un-tagged file in in Photoshop> Edit> Assign Profile: sRGB
You may know, the Mac OS applies its default Monitor profile to untagged color, whereas, Photoshop will apply its default Working RGB if you tell it not to manage the document...if you have a wide-gamut monitor and Assign MonitorRGB to an sRGB file, you get an intense saturation boost especially in the reds (is a clue).
YOU MAY BE WISE to set something like sRGB as your Photoshop Working RGB with these Color Management Policies (to try and figure out what's going on)...
MonitorRGB equals Photoshop WorkingRGB (as you are set up there) is a disaster for any number of reasons — Photoshop already displays through the monitor profile so setting its Working Space to your monitor profile is BAD workflow for 99.99 percent of the users who setup that workflow...

Why is initial caps gone from Pages 5?

I just spoke with a senior Apple tech: he told me, "Mail Merge and Initial Caps are gone." He said he was told by the developers that "if enough people want those features back, they may do so."
Am I the only one that thinks this is crazy?
Come on, Apple. You can do better than this. We are talking about basic functionality here.

That is such a broad question.
What are you doing in your business?
The major requirement for any business however is that you do not lose access to your documents or have them damaged.
The answer to that question is without a shadow of a doubt: DO NOT USE APPLE FORMATS*.
Not only are they proprietary, but Apple has on multiple occassions trashed not just formats but the files that use them. WITHOUT NOTICE or APOLOGY.
Also all the new iCloud compatible file formats are bloated, fail to transfer via 3rd party servers and are in such a convoluted compressed package that to extract anything from them in an emergency is impossible.
Apple has virtually no sense, or even consideration, of continuity or awareness of their customers' needs.
Apple is extremely self centred and it is very difficult to get it to think of anyone else except as some abstract theoretical consumer who only exists in that fabled land outside Cupertino, where no-one actually goes, except on short vacations.

Why can't I change what page my tabs open?

When I open a new tab it brings up a delta search engine, I tried changing it and I can't get it to change.

Is there a perminent fix for type size changes from page to page. Type is sometime to small to read.

This problem does not exist in Internet Explorer or in Chrome, so the problem appears to be in Firefox. I see work a rounds in these forums, but nothing that corrects the problem that seems to exist in Firefox. This problem started with one of the Firefox upgrades. Is there a permanent fix in our future.

Why does the phone change from landscape at 20 degrees? Horrible for watching videos laying down.

Very annoying non feature for the iPhone is the inability to lock video playback in landscape mode.

Sorry, I read your message too quickly. Most apps that show video automatically lock the screen in landscape; at least the built in youtube and a couple that I have do.
