Why do my text messages come back as MMS emails from Rogers?

Sporadically I send an iMessage to family when they are not on WiFi
And the reply does not come back as a text, but as a MMS email from Rogers.

This suggests that one or both of you don't have iMessage configured correctly in settings or you lack a data connection (cellular or WiFi) at both ends. SMS doesn't use a data connection.
Settings > Messages > iMessage > ON for both phones? Were the messages sent to and from active iMessage email or numbers?
Are either of you able to iMessage other iPhones?

Long text message comes in as multiple messages out of order

I understand why long text messages come in as multiple messages but why are they not in order?
It's like someone cut the message in many pieces and delivered them with no regard to sequence.

SMS is a carrier service, did you talk to them about it?
It's hard to say what actually happened. Maybe the sender was editing the first then send the second or third before sending the first.
Or maybe the first sent was not successful but the second was good before the first came through.

How Do I Permanently STOP my Text messaging Call Back Number from Popping back up. ? I take it off and save the setting but after awhile it comes back on my text messages. And I have to reset it.

It is not Apple that decides this. Since Apple is just the retailer, they do not own the copyrights to the content they sell on the iTunes store, if the copyright owner decides to remove something from the store that you have purchased Apple must abide by the terms of their licenseing agreements and remove it. Regretablly this also removes the items from your purchase history. This is why it is up to you to download and backup all of your purchases if you wish to maintain your investment.

i updated my 4S from iOS 5 to iOS 5.0.1 and all of my contacts transferred, but now all of my text messages come up as phone numbers instead of names - even though they're in my contacts.

I take it these are iMessages contacts ?
Are you using iCloud to Sync your Contacts apps info ?
In Messages > Preferences > Accounts > Details Button (You will need to sign in again) do you have the correct Country/Region set ?
This can effect the adding of the correct Country Code prefix to your own number and distort the coming form the Contacts app if the number there don't include a Country Code.

Erased gmail messages come back in mail

I erase messages from my gmail mailbox (Mail 4.5), empty the bin, and everytime I close Mail and reopen it the erased messages come back! I checked in the account preferences and unchecked the "keep the deleted messages on the server" box. Does anyone have any idea?

I'd like the Gmail mail to only appear in the Gmail folder I have in Mail, as opposed to both Gmail folder and my regular ISP mail box.

Why am I seeing my daughter's contacts only on my MB (synced I assume from her iPhone) and why does my text messaging on the MB all viewed like she is receiving them? Even on my phone, a message I sent to myself as a test shows up as "mom"

It's called iMessage, new in iOS 5.0...these messages are going as iMessages, and as designed, they appear on all of your iOS devices(your Apple ID on your daughter's phone). Either turn iMessage off on your daughter's phone or get her her own Apple ID & wipe her phone & then setup it up again using her own Apple ID. Your daughter having her own Apple ID is recommended if you want to fully take advantage of iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, etc. She can still use your iTunes account.

Single click on the Home button. Then double click on the Home button. In the recently used row, touch and hold the Contact app till they start to wiggle and then tap the minus sing by the contacts app.
Also make sure the Contact program on your computer is closed.

The lates iTunes (10.5) requires Mac OS 10.5.8 or higher. You appear to be running 10.4.X. You will need to upgrade your Mac OS.

You need to check the software you run.
Some officially supported and sold Mac versions of software use Wine for porting in some fashion or another. If some program you are running is spawning these Wine processes, its probably buggy and not shutting down correctly.
How to figure out which are Wine and which are not...?
Well if its a Cider ported game, you just see if there is a Cider logo on the game.
If its Wineskin ported, theres no super easy way to tell, depending on how much its been modified, but you can look inside the app (right click and "Show Package Contents") and go to Contents/MacOS and see if Wineskin executable is in there. Unless its a very old version of Wineskin it shouldn't be able to hang like that without major issues int he Windows software running in it, and I don't know any any company would release it if it was that buggy.
If its WineBottler Ported, you'll notice quickly because it launches X11 and runs the windows under X11... of course not all X11 apps are Wine, but if you have a program that launches and runs in X11.app then you can look inside it at Contents/MacOS to see if its Wine related.
It could also be Crossover, or a Crossover port of software... you'd have to dig around inside of its app too to see if it looked like one of those.

Since a few days we have a lot of crashes with [http://www.trusteer.com/product/trusteer-rapport Trusteer Rapport]. If you have this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the crashing. 
You can stop Rapport using Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport 
You can ask their helpdesk when an updated version of their product will be made available or, if you don't need this software, uninstall it.

If you do not have Rapport, then we need to have a crash report ID. When you send Mozilla a crash report it just puts it in a giant database. We have no way of looking it up without the Report ID. I have no idea what is wrong without looking up the crash report. Please get the Report ID of your latest crash report.

why are my text messages all of a sudden in green and do not say delivered? Also for the first time since I obtained the phone I went to use the headphones and the insert to headphones is very loose and I can connect for about 10 seconds then nothing, I do believe it is the jack that inserts into the phone or the phone receptacle is bad or the headphone piece that goes into the phone is bad it is not working is the main issues. Thank you

I should also mention we have 2 other iPhone users and 1 Samsung s5 user in my home not having the same problem.
