Why do my window keep inselecting after Lion
My Windows keep unselecting automaticly since I updated to lion how can I fix it ?
Same problem. I am a daily Podcasts listener, and podcasts that worked the day before will literally not work the next day. All the podcasts on my iphone will suddenly be broken. This keeps happening to me, and it's most glaring when I try to resume listening to an episode I listened to half of on the previous day. I suddenly get the error message:
Episode Unavailable: "This episode is temporarily unavailable from [Podcast name]
This started when I got the new Iphone 5s (iOS7) and was forced to switch to using the Podcasts app outside of the Music app. And now it's happening constantly to my regular podcasts. The listened to status is also sometimes wrong. Podcasts I've already listened to, and in some cases deleted, will show up again as fresh downloads.
I have to remove the corrupted podcasts one by one and download them again manually.
RIDICULOUS and UNUSABLE. This Podcasts app does not work.

Why does my emails keep downloading after deleting them?
Why does my emails keep downloading after deleting them?
It sounds like you may be "synced" to an IMAP email server with your ISP. You would need to go into Mail>Preferences and set the messages to be removed from the IMAP server after some period of time so they don't redownload to your computer. That's one possiblility. Another is if you are synced with iCloud, then the mail is stored on your iCloud server backup and will redownload until you remove it.

Why does iTunes 11 keep reopening after I quit?
This is moving from the bizarre to the absurd. I recently updated to iTunes 11 on my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.7.5), and now iTunes keeps reopening after I quit. I have checked the support forum for similar issues from previous versions. I do not have "open iTunes when device is connected" checked, I have quit using the menu, force closed the application, even killed the iTunes process through the activity monitor to no avail. The only way I can successfully kill the process is to shut down my MacBook Pro entirely and restart.
Has anyone else encountered this?I want to elaborate on my orginal post. This is a big pain in the ***, but I have found a solution that has worked and has survied though a number of tests. Do you have Blackberry Desktop installed on your Mac? If you do, your probably going to have a process running called RimAlbumArtDaemon. This is some BS software by RIM that has a history of running Mac really hot (using unnessary process power for extended amounts of time). Get rid of it by following the instructions here:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3589839?start=0&tstart=0
Delete that entire blackberry file.
This has seemes to solve the problem for me. Let me know if this works for you. -

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -

Why 2 Desktop Windows IN Finder after RESTART?
After EVERY restart (whether internal or external drive) Two IDENTICAL windows appear in front
Each window lists two item: 1-icon and name of the internal HD (and external drive if any) AND
2- the NETWORK icon similar too what we see in the System Preferences window for internet, etc.
What kind of setting, where, needs to be altered so that does not occur.
It's happening on two different mac MINI's (to which changes have been made with software, butwhat did what.)Found answer in another post on a different topic. Reset the startup disc preference and locked it
(had previously restarted from 3 different discs. here's the site/info

Your Mac "writes down" the preferred Startup Disk in Parameter RAM. That is often your Hard Drive, but at times it could be a CD or an external drive. You cannot eliminate the additional choices, and you would not want to. What you want to do is make a selection from all available and have that selection be remembered. If there is a remembered selection, that choice will be highlighted when you open Startup Disk preference.
Open that preference and Click on your Hard drive to select it. If you close the preference and re-open it, the Hard Drive will be still be selected. As long as there is stable power to your Mac, that preference will be remembered. -
Why do my podcasts keep disappearing after I download them to my computer.
Since updating iTunes to the newest version, I have been having problems with my podcasts. Specifically, my episodes keep disappearing. The first time I figured it was a fluke, but it happened again and again. Every time I close iTunes and open it again, the podcasts have disappeared even though I have all my podcasts set up to keep all episodes. The episodes are all still listed, but there is a little cloud with an arrow inside pointing down next to each one. There are a handful of random episodes that are still there (without the cloud and arrow icon). I searched for the files in my computer's music folder and even the files are suddenly missing and I know they used to be there. I don't know why this keeps happening. Is anyone else having this problem and how can I stop it from happening?
Same problem. I am a daily Podcasts listener, and podcasts that worked the day before will literally not work the next day. All the podcasts on my iphone will suddenly be broken. This keeps happening to me, and it's most glaring when I try to resume listening to an episode I listened to half of on the previous day. I suddenly get the error message:

Why does my email keep downloading after deleting
Recently, I downloaded the latest iOS and have found myself constantly receiving emails that duplicate every time it refreshes or I delete them. I cannot make it stop and it fills my email account rapidly!
Why is this the case? It is costing me far too much time, it has also caused a large loss of my productivity as well!!It sounds like you may be "synced" to an IMAP email server with your ISP. You would need to go into Mail>Preferences and set the messages to be removed from the IMAP server after some period of time so they don't redownload to your computer. That's one possiblility. Another is if you are synced with iCloud, then the mail is stored on your iCloud server backup and will redownload until you remove it.
Hope this helps -
Why does my computer keep freezing after waking from "sleeping"?
I'm running Lion (10.7.2) and frequently, not everytime, but often, the computer will freeze about 1-2 min after I've woken it from sleep – there are usually 1-2 applications open and then I can work for about a couple minutes and then it freezes and the only way to resolve it is to power it off w/ the power button and then restart.
I've got a late 2008 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM – there is very little on the hard drive, but that seems irrelevant here anyway.
Thanks for any tips/help!Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

I highly recommend performing a complete backup, and then reformatting and installing Lion. It will be like having a new Mac again and you won't have the issues associated with an upgrade.

Why does my itunes keep closing after i try to play a tv show?
Recently I updated my iTunes, and since then the program will become sometimey (excuse the word) with launching at all, and when iTunes does decide to open, it will immediately say it cannot connect to the iTunes store. At this point I will close iTunes and reopen it and things will be ok in that aspect, but when I go to play a video or a tv show it always says this program is not working and will have to be closed...or something similar to that warning. I have no choice but to close the program.
I have unintalled iTunes and reinstalled, and still I get the same problem. I've even tried to run a repair.
Any other suggestions?Let's try the following user tip with that one:
iTunes for Windows 10.7.0.21: "iTunes has stopped working" error messages when playing videos, video podcasts, movies and TV shows -
This occurs both in Finder and in Application modal dialog boxes working with files.
I am constantly (and I mean constantly) reducing the width of the name field in windows in List view so that the name column doesn't use the entire available width of the containing window. I've tried using the View Options (Cmd "J") in Finder and clicking on "Use as Defaults" button but this seems to save only the items within the options window not any window editable states like column width.
I return to same folders all the time and have to change this every freaking time.
It's worse within application dialogs because they default to an even narrower file viewer window than my Finder windows tend to be.
Just one more of my many Mavericks issues. :-\Bump

Keynote 3.0.2 crash and unexpected file size increase
All was going well with my Keynote presentation consisting mainly of photos (.jpg), 100 slides, multiple photos per slide. I then added 3 new Quick Time .mov files, 12 kb each. Upon saving, the program stalled during the save and then crashed. The pr
