Why do other browsers ( IE, Chrome, Opera,Safari) list StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA as a Trusted Intermediate Certification Authority but Firefox doesn't?

We are setting up registrations for a paid event and have bought a SSL certificate for our site. Everything works fine when the registration page is accessed through IE, Chrome, Opera or Safari (which list StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA as a Trusted Intermediate Certification Authority), but when I click on that link in Firefix I get the "This Connection is Untrusted" page because only StartCom Class 1 is listed as trusted.
Why is that?

It is always the responsibility of a website to send the complete certificate chain.
You can check the certificate chain of breastfeedingconference.asn.au and see that the server doesn't send the intermediate certificate.

    Firefox5 is not showing BBC iPlayer Video & Radio.
    Other browsers are all fine(Safari,IE,Chrome)
    The iPlayer webpage is all there but the flash video player is black. The OS is MS Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3.

    Also, when the flash video does not show up it displays the error that I do not have the current flash player. The problem is that I do have the current flash player that actually plays flash from another section of the website.
    Forgot to add that earlier.

  • Why can't I zoom in on text with my track-pad like I can with other browsers? I have a MacBook Pro. I used to be able to pinch and expand pages but now I can't.

    Why can't I zoom in on text with my track-pad like I can with other browsers? I have a MacBook Pro. I used to be able to pinch and expand pages but now I can't. I have bad eye-sight and really enjoy and NEED this feature to be able to read most sites.

    Hi dwightfontenot-
    Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
    browser.gesture.pinch.in -> cmd_fullZoomReduce
    browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
    browser.gesture.pinch.out -> cmd_fullZoomEnlarge
    browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
    browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> false
    To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
    Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
    Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
    Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

  • Proxy Server asking for username and password almost 6 times for every page I load, but the same doesn't happen with other browsers like chrome

    The same question keeps popping up again and again "The proxy moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128""
    Even after i give the right details, it asks me like 5 more times before it completely loads the page. Some times it happens only 2 times.
    With other browsers like chrome, it asks only in the beginning. it doesn't occur after that.
    This started occurring only recently. i upgraded to firefox 9.0 and it functioned properly for more than 12 hours before it started occuring. i tried downgrading back to 8.0.1 but the problem still continued.

    i'm afraid i need to use proxy settings to connect to internet. The settings are all fine because it used to work properly all this time. i specify the proxy address and the port, which is correct, i am very confident. it is so because the page actually loads on firefox, but not before it asks for my user name and password for it a lot of times, and for every page. for other browsers, it asks only in the beginning, that is, when i start the browser.
    i've put three pics here. under the first two settings, the third image showing the user name and password thingy popping up. this happens a lot of times for every page.

  • App Parts require authentication when using other browsers e.g. Safari on iPad

    Hi all
    I have the SharePoint App Store setup and working correctly and within Internet Explorer I have my App Store domain and my SharePoint domain added as local intranet sites and authentication is not an issue.
    Is there a way of removing the required authentication on Apps so that I am not prompted for credentials in other browsers, specifically on the iPad using Safari? My iPad can access the SharePoint site fine and can access all information other than apps
    from the app store and I think it is because authentication is required (although it does not prompt me). I feel the apps could work on the iPad as they are just iframes with JS which the iPad can handle.
    This is all internal, no external access.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    No, there is not. And it is not recommended to place the App Domain in the Intranet Zone (or otherwise automatically pass credentials to the zone) as that poses a security risk.

  • Firefox will not load or open. ver 16.0? up date. running Win7 pro. Other Browsers OK - Chrome - Explorer

    Firefox has stopped opening after an update. It worked the night before, and than, in the AM - no open or load - nothing. The other browsers work fine - Chrome and Explorer. I did a delete and reload - nothing, plus all the normal computer checking crap - still nothing. Whew??

    A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    I'll click on any word and receive no sound, but if I try to do it in another browser I'll have sound.

  • Why Firefox warns about partially encrypted content while other browsers dont

    I have a page test1.php which has a form that send data using POST to itself and then redirects to test2.php via HTTPS where FireFox shows a lock with red exclamation mark. If I press F5 after this I will get the page without any warnings and signed by SSL certificate. Any other browsers including Chrome, Opera, IE dont show any warnings and show the page as trustly encrypted. I found that there are no media resources loaded via HTTP (I used Media tab and Firebug and HttpFox). This case is only happen when JS enabled! But, again, I cant see any requests via HTTP - only HTTPS. So what it may be?

  • No Video. Only Sound in Firefox/Safari. Chrome & Opera Works Fine? (MAC)

    When I load up a flash video in the browser on Firefox or Safari, I hear the sound but only see a black square for the actual Flash content.
    I've tried repairing permissions, reinstalling Firefox, uninstalling Flash and reinstalling with no success.
    Why would it work in Chrome/Opera but not Safari or Firefox?
    Am I missing something? This all started when I had a problem with Firefox crashing so I updated to the newest version and then updated Flash.

  • Why pictures are blury in firefox ? other browsers show images sharper !?

    Hi!
    I don't know why picture quality in firefox is low !
    I Know that firefox had resizing problems before with SVG images that now fixed , but my question is not
    about some specific image types , my question is why all pictures specialy smaller Thumbnails are blurry !
    for example ,see these Thumbnails in this page:
    > https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/themes/?sort=popular
    Open this page in different browsers (ie , chrome) and you can see that Thumbnails are so good and sharp
    in other browsers like ' chrome '. i'm really like firefox and using it for a longtime but why firefox users don't deserve
    a clear and sharp image !?
    At last you guys can apply some Sharpening filters to images and make them so much better and sharper .
    i'm just curious no one noticed this difference before !?
    In the end pardon me because english isn't my first language ;)
    THX Very mUcH For your time.

    Hi Mooory, there isn't a setting for this. The way Firefox zooms PNG images is not as attractive as it could be in Firefox 24, no matter how you change your settings. I don't know whether someone is planning to improve it in a new version of Firefox, but hopefully so, and you can add your input using the Submit Feedback feature.
    Meanwhile, it probably would give you the best results to reset the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to the default (you can right-click > Reset that preference in about:config).
    If you would like to do further research, you also can look on Bugzilla to see whether a specific "bug" has been filed to improve how images are resized. You might find several.
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
    Regarding the bug tracking system: it's generally not helpful to add comments to bugs (unless there is a call for test cases), but you can register on the site and "vote" for them to be fixed. See:
