Why do pages that consist solely of a jpg or png result in the message that the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors?
Whenever I click on URL links to pages that consist solely of a jpeg or png, I get a text-only message 'the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors'. Yet if I copy the same URL and try it in IE, the image displays just fine. This has been happening for some time, thru several upgrades of Firefox.
That is the default text that Firefox displays on a tab.<br />
As soon as the image has loaded then that text is replaced by the image.
If you keep seeing that text then something is blocking images.

PS I also cannot get the app for Podcasts.Having the same issue here. I unfortunately purchased a book on iTunes, then went to download iBooks, but can't due to their recent update/upgrade. My kids iTouchs are all 6.1.5 , So I'm guessing that if you did not have iBooks previously purchased that you are now S.O.L. if you want to read a book on your iPod??
I am rather frustrated that I spent money on a book that they can't read.
Is there another app that will let them read it? -
On my firefox start up screen, I get the message that I am not running the latest. It asks that I upgrade now. However, under "about firefox," I am running 9.01, the latest version. I'd like to know why I'm getting this message and how I can get rid of it.

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].

I get a message that my ipad 2 and iphone 5 cannot connect to the itunes store when I try to sync a book to my book app. Although, when I click "store" both are able to access the itunes store. Why is this? Also I tried to open a book that was synced and a message that I did not have enough memory to load this book popped up--when I know that I have well over 40gb of memory left in my ipad and over 16gb left in my iphone. The message that I cannot connect to the itunes store is strange that it offers no option and I have to hit OK to get out and use my ipad or iphone.
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and changing the date to a few months (or maybe a year or two) in the future and then re-trying -
My Ipad2 works fine except when I try to email myself a link to a safari webpage. I get an error message saying that the message failed to connect to the server. It says that a copy of the message has been left in the outbox. I cannot get the message from the outbox. All other email and safari functions work as expected.
I have cleared data and cookies, powered down, and done a reset. Nothing seems to help.Typing in additional text seems to get the job done. This seems to be a feature of the latest IOS update, I have never had the problem before the last update.
I use the box with the arrow just to the left of the URL block at the top of the page to send myself links to pages of interest. Adding the extra text seems like a pointless step, but it does work.

Why do I get the message that my operating system is not supported?
My computer is running Windows 7 - 64-bit. I have the latest softwear on both my iPhone and my iPad. I have installed Edge Inspect on these devices and have the Google Chrome edge inspect extension installed. I have been able to enter my passcodes for both devices in the Chrome extension. Why do I get the message that my operating system is not supported just yet?
This is VERY interesting ... even though I got that strange message, once I linked my iPhone and my iPad to the Google extension, it worked! Whatever I display in Google Chrome automatically displays in the Edge Inspect app on the small devices. This is neat! The only problem that I can see is that Adobe needs to replace the error message with information about how to use the application.

Sometimes they are there when I reopen my iPad, even without Internet access. Other times I get the message that the page can't be found because I don't have Internet access.

When ever i try to migrate to another page, the browser puts up a blank page with the message that Firefox stopped the loading of the page, and there is an allow button in the upper right corner of the blank page, which i have to click on, to get to the page i want to travel to.

I have currently 4.9 pages and I tried to open a document and I get a message that I have to purchase an upgrade of $19.99 is this correct?
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.
Note: Apple has removed over 95 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

I have updated Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight but each time I try to watch something I get the message that I have to install or update these programs... Why is that happening? Can it be fixed? How do I fix it? PLEASE HELP!

If I tunes indicates that I have 4.29GB free on my 4S, then why do i get the message that it cannot complete the sync because of inadequate available space?
Not the case. There is a sync issue. I tried to un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). as suggested in another thread, but cannot remove the music from my phone (in an attempt to free up space as you intimated.)

I keep getting the message that my registry settings are missing for importing and burning cd's and dvd's. Why?
I've completely uninstalled iTunes per the support instructions and reinstalled. But I still get the error message each
