Why do questions in presentation pause the playing?

Can anyone resolve these issues?
When I place a quiz question (of which there are many types) in a sequence of screens (Captivate 5 on a mac) there are issues:
1. the subsequent screen does not play smoothly...Can I resolve this?
Putting in a quiz question appears to slow the loading of the next screen. I am creating a linear sequence of screens for a learning training (not a software simulation) - all screens have next buttons and I have used the Skip button on the quiz question screen to mimic next. But on preview/ publishing this does not automatically go next but it slows the next screen which appears but in fade out state.
Clicking again does not work - it eventually loads but the timing is the same on other screens (which load perfectly) But NOT the ones that follow a quiz question screen.
I don't want to have to create a custom screen each time. How do I do this?
2. Does anyone know how to put other features on the screen? Links and buttons?
3. Is there a way that user returning to the screen does not see the feedback /review state?

With regard to your questions:
1 - Are you using an LMS or do you have Quiz Reporting turned on? If so, try turning off quiz reporting and see if the slides play more smoothly. I'm wondering here if the slides are pausing while the module tries to communicate with the LMS after each quiz question. If turning off reporting seems to help, try using the new SCORM template just released by Adobe that only reports to the LMS at the end of each module.

2 - As far as adding other types of features to a screen...
Buttons and Click Boxes are built into Captivate and can be added to any slide except quiz slides and master slides. Simulated rollover hyperlinks can be added via an interactive widget: http://www.infosemantics.com.au/catalog/widgets/interactive/wdgt_hyperlink_01 But since this is an interactive object as well, it also cannot be added to quiz or master slides.
3 - Users returning to a quiz question after having answered the question will find the slide's answer is locked in and unable to be changed. The play button on HTML5 video doesn't work, however the play option in the context menu does

I have embedded a video using HTML5 using the mp4, webm, and ogg formats.
In Firefox the video poster displays as do the native controls. When the video is clicked on (either on the poster or the play button on the controls) the poster disappears to be replaced with the first frame of the video. However the video then fails to play.
If i right click over the video and select play it plays fine, similarly if i then click the pause button it pauses, the play button still does not work though.
The video plays in all other browsers that i have tested in without an issue.

Why does my playhead return to the initial position when pausing/stopping playback after playing from beginning?

How do I prevent the playhead from returning to it's original position after pausing or stopping with the spacebar or k button? With either the skimmer on or off, whenever I pause or stop the **** playhead will always return to the position it was last at. I don't understand why neither of the shortcuts would just stop the playhead at the point that is being played at. This may seem like an extremely edgy way to go about editing, but I might actually wish to pause the playhead at any given moment and position my playhead nearby said moment before creating an edit point (without having to add a marker and return to it with the blade tool, or take note of the specific duration and use the duration control to go to that specific point or any other unnecessary steps when doing a rough cut). I simply would like the playhead to pause/stop at the moment I press either keyboard shortcut. After the many attempts at trying to make FCP X work for me and the many "workarounds" by FCPX enthusiasts, it's disheartening to know that most other editors in my circle who make a living doing paid commercial work are wondering why I've decided to take a break from using CS6 (and it's integration with the industry-standard AE) to give FCP X a shot, all to make very simple tasks like the one aforementioned a mystery... any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yes i've trashed my preferences, but I should be more specific as to what I am actually doing. Because I am working from my macbook pro and do not have a "home button" which was the original shortcut to "play from/go to beginning" and because I did not like the replacement shortcut in FCP X to play from beginning (without a home button it was something like Function + Shift something else on a laptop) I became used to Adobe Premiere CS6 and made the return key my "play from beginning" shortcut. It was available and did not have a use by itself (only to confirm changes/choices), did not effect it's use in conjunction with other shorctus so I choose enter as my "play from/go to beginning"...
So when I play from the beginning and attempt to pause or stop the playhead, regardless of how I choose to do it (spacebar or k) it does not stop at that specific instance and always returns to where it previously was. This seems very confusing and inconvenient, I would hope at least one of these shortcuts would actually stop the playhead where it was at that moment where I press stop or pause. It's extremely frustrating knowing that I cannot pause the playhead where it's playing if I choose my "play from beginning" shortcut.
Also since you seem to be a guru and an expert, i'd like to know if you cut with FCPX on a laptop and what shortcut you use whenever you'd like the playhead to go to the beginning of the timeline, end, etc since there are no "home" or "end" buttons on a laptop....

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Why cannot I play some songs that are present in the playlist on my iPod?

For Christmas my daughter has received a 2GB iPod nano. Due to having an oldish computer set-up in the home using Windows 98 software I have had to use a Win 98 driver package that I learned about from the iPod Q&A pages which looks to work generally well in combination with RealPlayer 10.5. Obviously as a result of this I cannot use the recommended iTunes package. I do not however believe this to be the source of my problems as Loading files onto the iPod appears to be no problem.
To date I have only copied CD’s to the iPod and not downloaded tunes from the web or other items. The problem we have is that even with totally official self-purchased CD’s after copying the files from music library in RealPlayer to the iPod, not all tracks are available on playback when played ‘stand-alone’ through the iPod. If I address the file listing through the computer all files are listed with a suitable file size for a complete track (approx 4Mbyte) and all files can be played successfully through the computer from the iPod. However, when playing certain tracks (one or two per album) on the iPod in ‘stand-alone’ mode (detached from the computer) the track starts and then after about 10 to 20 seconds stops and advances to the next track in the track listing. This does not happen when played through the computer where all tracks in total are successfully re-played. Even if the file is deleted from the music library and re-copied, the same problem exists. Why can this be? If the track is there in the iPod memory and accessible, why can it not play it back when in ‘stand alone’ operation? Do you have any experience of this problem and if so please advise what I can do to rectify the issue.

Computer's iTunes > Preferences > Parental Preferences > everything should be unchecked.

Why are the forward and backward buttons so close to the play/pause button on the lock screen?

The quickest way to control the playing of music or podcasts is on the lock screen after double tapping the button. The controls for forward, rewind and play/pause are way too close together. There seems to be no logical reason for having them so close when there is room on the screen. Is there a way of moving these buttons?

Youtube plays dual audio in one tab and still plays one when i pause the video

Some Youtube videos I play plays the same audio twice with a little delay in between. If I pause the video one keeps playing. I don't know to fix this.

The easiest solution for looping two or more DMD presentations
is to create a nested playlist within DMD. You simply
create a master presentation and add a playlist to this
presentation. Add the desired presentations to this playlist
and then schedule or send the Action to the DMP(s) to play
the Master Presentation. The 2 or more child presentations will
play and loop until you stop it manually.
Summary of Tasks
* Using DMD create Presentations (2 or more) that you would like
to display on the DMP-Display(s).
* After the presentations are created, you will need to find out
what the URL addresses are for each presentation. Using the
"Actions" drop down on the DMM-DMP Manager screen, you select
a DMP and send the Presentation to the DMP. Once the DMP displays
the presentation, access the DMP-DM Web admin page and copy the URL
address in the "Startup URLs-->Browser" field.   Repeat this process
for each DMD presentation that you want to loop.
For example:

and so on...
* Another parameter or variable that you will need to find out is

* Create a Master presentation using DMD. In this presentation, you will
create add a "Playlist" to the presentation by selecting the Playlist
button-drop down. Select "All Media Types" and a Playlist object will
be added to the Master presentation.
- Double-click on the object to add content
- Select "Add URL" button in the Playlist Content window.
- Fill in the required fields (URL Title & Link) in the "Add URL"
    window. Repeat the process for each presentation that you want
    to add.
- Set the Duration for each item in the Playlist. Select the Item
    in the list and then DOUBLE-CLICK on the "Planned Duration"
    field and edit the time to desired duration. Repeat process for
    each item.
- Save Master Presentation
* Schedule or use the "Actions" drop down on the DMM-DMP Manager screen
send the Master Presentation to the DMP(s). The Playlist will play and
Loop after the last item in the Master Playlist.

Try sharing and see if the effect is still present when you play the shared movie. It can happen when playing within iMovie if there are insufficient resources to play a full resolution.

By "pause" you mean that now it is playing thru your car stereo, while previously, it stopped playing thru your car stereo, when you switch off the ignition?
Anyway, I don't think it is an iPod problem, but you can try the
iPod Hard Reset -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple logo comes ON.
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

This reset wont delete any of your songs, just put all the settings back to when you first took it out of the box.

Where is your Calculator application located? Before you can put it into the Dock you need to remove the Question Mark. Select it with the mouse and drag it out of the until it "poofs" away. Now locate Calculator and drag its icon into the Dock.

Itunes 9.2 consistently pauses the music when playing from Ipod Touch

I couldn't find this posted anywhere else so ever since updating itunes and my ipod touch I've been having a problem when playing music on my computer from ipod. About 5-10 times during the song itunes will pause the song and my ipod will say "Syncing in progress". It gets really annoying and hasn't happen before the update. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

You should get your songs into iTunes and then immediately back them up.
