Why do some e-mails show up with A's in boxes?

I just synced my two gmail accounts on my new Macbook. Some of the e-mails coming in are looking strange.. they are appearing as bunches of individual boxes with As in them. The e-mails do not look this way when I view them on my phone. Does anyone know how to fix it? One of the e-mails I've found that was affected was from another friend's smartphone (non iPhone) and the other was from a hotel advertising some new special.

Go to preferences.Go to store .UNCHECK show itunes in cloud purchases.Click OK.I had this happen.you should not lose your songs.I did not lose mine.I believe you are merely hiding the cloud song from view.Did you "bite"at the pop-up to update itunes software.I did.That may be the culprit.

Are you running any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software? If so, disable all of that stuff & try again.

Why is most my mail showing in Thunderbird but not on iCloud?

I don't understand why this is happening. My nephew set up Thunderbird mail on my Dell months ago to get mail from iCloud, which I never went on myself until today, and I disovered that I have mail on my Thunderbird that doesn't show on iCloud's mail list at all! I have far far fewer mail on iCloud than on Thunderbird too! Why is iCloud missing mail that Thunderbird caught? Please reply because I'm VERY worried about where my mail's going or missing!

After adding SPF records for Hybrid Development some external mails bounced back with error SPF Unauthorized mail is prohibited.

Added v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all and the txt token for the Exchange 2013 hybrid configuration, now some mails bounced back with the error "SPF Unauthorized mail is prohibited". What could be the cause? Should I customized
the SPF record but it is not mentioned in the procedures for Hybrid configuration to do that.

Why are some e mails contents all squished together and unreadable

WHen i open some e mails the letters are all squished together making it very hard to read,any help would appreciated

Try some basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the mail app and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Why do some images not show on the mobile browser but do on the normal Firefox

I have an HTC desire hd. I have had a site built.
the images don't show on the mobile browser. when using the standard browser which came with the phone 'internet' it works fine. is there a reason for this?

I get a content encoding error when trying to load one of the problem images.

Why are some iCloud services not syncing with my Mac?

iCloud seems to be syncing just fine between my iPhone 4S (AT&T 4G) (iOS 5.1.1) and my iPad 2 (Wi-Fi + 3G) (iOS 5.1.1), but not with my MacBook Air (Late 2010) (Mountian Lion 10.8.1). Here's a list of iCould services that I've noticed are and are not working:
iCloud mail (@me.com) and Gmail syncs and updates on my computer sometimes. (I get that these might be seperate issues. I think I need to change the "port" on one or both – suggestions?).
Exchange email syncs and updates on my computer most of the time.
Notes syncs and updates on my computer never.
Photo Stream has stopped updating and syncing on my computer altogether (worked for the first few weeks and not for the past few weeks).
iMessage synced with my computer and phone before Mountian Lion released (that is, all incomming iMessages sent to my Apple ID would be recieved at my phone and computer), but I don't think it's worked since.
iCal, Contacts, and Reminders seem to update and sync on my computer all of the time.
Because they're all iCloud services I want to think there is a one common problem – which is why I've created only one thread. But because they are not common to all services, I'm guessing it might be a case by case basis.
Of course I should state all iCloud services are turned on for all devices and computer, and I am using the same Apple ID for them all. Also, all devices/computer are connected to internet via Wi-Fi/4G pretty much all the time. Finally, it's possible there are other issues I've missed—although it seems unlikely since I use them all, all the time)—I think this is a pretty good representation of my problems.

For photo stream, if the source of the photos is an iOS device, be sure the photo app used to take the picture has been turned off, not just sleeping.
Have you rebooted the computer? The router?

New mail shows up with an older message

Hi, I'm using Mail as my primary email program downloading from a university email account. I have a ton of mail in it, over 3000 messages in my inbox and a couple thousand in my outbox.
Sometimes when I get a new message, the name of the person it is from shows up in the list at the top correctly, but when I open the message, it is an older message from someone else. This isn't a problem with the server, when I check my mail through the university webpage the correct new message shows up. And there is no way to fix it, even if I find the original email that is opening instead of the new one and erase it, the new message will never show up in my Mail window and I have to check the university webpage to find out what my email said.
It is REALLY irritating Is this because I have too many emails in my folders or what? Is there a way to fix it?

Well, you can't have messages in your Outbox because that only appears when a message is being sent, not afterward. Your messages are in your Sent mailbox.
It could be that you have too many messages on your Mac, but I think the problem is more likely a corrupted Mail index. To rebuild it, do this:
1. Quit Mail if it's running.
2. Go to Home/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file.
3. Restart Mail and allow it to import your existing messages; when it's done, check to see if your problem has disappeared.
4. To help prevent this from happening, either delete messages you don't need, or archive them somewhere else not in your Mail folder.

Why do some radio buttons show in IE but not in Firefox?

On some web sites a radio button or checkbox is available but Firefox does not show any outline or content for it. It can only be found by mousing over the screen and hoping that a text message such as "Click here to submit" shows up. In IE these buttons do show up in the normal way so it seems this is s problem with Firefox and not the particular web site.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Can anyone explain why when some songs are showing in my playlists, I am unable to play them

Why do some PDF's show whats under layers when opening?

I work in ID 5.0.2. I distill my brochure to PDF. This is to keep the file size small for emailing and Web uploads. I have many text boxes and frames layered on certain revised sections of the document, my question: when we open the PDF in the office or on the Web, the brochure opens fine, however, we have a client that when he opens the same file, can see the contents which was covered with frames when he first opens it.
Why does this happen, are there settings I should be addressing when I distill the brochure?

When printing (which is what you do when you create PDF via distillation of PostScript) or when exporting PDF, all page content, even that which is completely "covered" by other content, is output. No attempt is made to optimize to eliminate output of objects that won't "show through." Thus, all the "old stuff" you are covering over is indeed in the resultant PDF file, regardless of how you produce it.
Whether or not that content "shows" when being displayed depends very much on the particular PDF reader being used but more so, on the "power" (processor speed, amount of memory, etc.) of the system on which the PDF file is being displayed. Adobe Reader and Acrobat display whatever is provided in the file, including what is covered over. Thus, for a very complex page combined with not enough system power, you might see underlying content.
The solution is to eliminate old, obsolete material from your InDesign document itself or put such material on non-printing layers.

Why do some email accounts show in top section and others do not?

Under Mailboxes, on the left side, in the top section I see 4 accounts I can click on, however, in the lower section under accounts, I have five accounts. For some reason, one of my gmail accounts does not display in the top section. Why is this?

To add it back, tap the Edit button at the top of the list of mailboxes and select the missing email account so that it has a tick against it (you can also change their order in the list by dragging the parallel line icon to an account's right), tapping Done should then get it to show in the list

Why do some links not show up on my screen?

Some links or response boxes to be filled in DO NOT Display on my screen. If I know where they are, I can find them when my pointer turns to "hand". The problem doesn't exist on IE (ugh!).

There are many possible reasons for pages not to look right. Have you tried to tips in this article: [[Websites look wrong]]?
If you compare with IE side-by-side and notice that colored panels are missing, check out this article: [[Images or animations do not show]].

If that doesn't help, can you post a URL or two of pages that have this problem and indicate which parts are not visible in your Firefox?

Why do some websites only show the headings and not the rest of the page? I was on the same website at a different location and it had discriptions for the words.

When in ma-vitalrecords.org, I put in the county and town and then went to the names. It pulls up the last name, but the rest of the information does not show, such as the child's name, date of birth, and parents. When I am at the library or other's homes, this information shows. This is not the only website that this does this. Sometimes if I hover the arrow over where the words should be, I can see the information down in the status bar. On the above website it did not.

I have the same experience. I've been narrowing down causes, but it's NOT because you're not connected to Wifi. It seems to be intermittent. For expample, I'm connected to WIFI right now. Some messages or pix that were viewable yesterday are not viewable now and others aren't. All of the messages and their attachments are available from my laptop. If I try again later, I'll be able to see different downloads than what I can see now. What's odd is all of them worked just right a few weeks ago
