Why do some ipod touch have a green facetime button and not a gray one?

how can youh change from grayy facetime to green or a different color for facetime?????? D;

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode, use this program instead of the buttons.
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Modecharging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why do some  ipod cases have two holes on the top

Why do some ipod cases have an extra hole next to the camera hole?

The black and white iPhones are the same (except for the color). One hole is your ear speaker. Above it is the proximity sensor. It is not a hole in the glass front but a whole in the underlying material where the proximity sensor is located. You can see this hole with the white material, but it is hard to see with the black material, but it is still there.

  • Why does my ipod touch have 0 bytes

I have deleted pictures, apps etc. and I still have 0 bytes.  How can I fix this?  It is an Ipod Touch 4th generation ios 4.3.5

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

I searched the iPod Touch forum for "iphone in recovery mode" and it appears there are two possible solutions:
    - Place the iPod in DFU mode and then restore it>

  • Help please! Ipod touch sporting a white lited screen and not doing anything!

I recently updated the software on my ipod touch 2nd generation and it was working fine that night, nothing wrong at all. Then when I woke up the next morning all it would do is light up a white screen, it won't shut off or do anything. I have even tried removing the software and reloading it a few times and nothing has worked. Somebody please tell my why it's doing this or anything i can to to make it stop please!

    That symptom is covered here:

  • My Ipod touch 2gen has problems locking up and not starting

I have a 2gen Ipod Touch that has locked up a few times lately when I was using it. Frozen.
Then some times it would not start at all when I tried to turn it on. .
So I made sure the software was updated and it was at 4.2.1 and it said it was up to date.
So I restored it but it locked up again and at times would not restart. I restored it again once I did get it restarted.
It is still having the same problem. Sometimes when I go to start it won't start so I rehold the two buttons again for 30 seconds and the apple logo appears.
Sometimes it starts with the white apple logo and sometimes it shows that the battery is red (very low).
It doesn't seem to do the same thing each time there is a problem. This has been going on for a week.
It just did it again and I tried to start it but it wouldn't take the 30 second boot so I plugged it in. It took several times of trying the 30second rebooting but finally it came on with white apple logo but then it said the battery was at 100%. Not low.
What do you think?            Is the battery going bad or what?
I'm ready to buy a new battery and try to install that.

  • What do I do with my iPod Touch 4g when the home button does not work and when I plug it in to charge it always says that charging is not avaible with this accesory?

iPod Touch 4g home button won't work plus will not charge properly

Take it to a reputable third-party repair shop. Apple will not touch it after you have opened it up and tinkered with the works.

  • My iPod touch 4th gen is shutting down and not playing music?

    so here is the story:
lately my iPod touch 4th gen will become frozen, or slow whenever i am using it. However within the last 2 weeks it has shut itself down completely (even though there was always more than half charge) 3 times and won't allow me to turn it on for about 2-3 days. It also will not play music anymore, and instead is either silent or sounds of static. I am just wondering if there is anyway I can fix it or if I need to buy a new iPod.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • HT1414 getting an ipod touch 5 and selling my ipod touch 4, will all my apps and notes be put into my new ipod that i'm getting?

Like will all my app information (like my secret diary) and especially all my notes that include lyrics and stuff be put onto my ipod touch 5?

So, before you get rid of your old device go to attach your device to itunes and go file-devices-backup.  Additionally you can go to settings-icloud-storage and backup and select back up now. When you have your new device you can "restore from backup".  If you're using itunes to set up your new device it will prompt you to restore it from your most recent backup.  iOS: How to back up
