Why do some of my friends see me under my new iPhone number still when I kept my old number from my other phone?
I recently got an iPhone 5, and wanted to keep my old number from my HTC Wildfire S, so I had a tech person at the T-Mobile store (my service carrier ist-mobile) configure that for me. Under general settings, it lists my old number as the number for my new phone, but some of my friends see me as the iPhone number that was equipped with my iPhone. I've deduced that it might just be other iPhone users having this issue because my friends with other phones, like the Galaxy S for example, still see my as my old number and know its me. What could be causing this issue? And how can I alleviate it? Any help is appreciated!
Oh and I have checked that my iMessage is sending and receiving as my old number and it is.

Adding to KC7GNM's remark (with which I agree), the iPhone 5 you received is very likely refurbished. It is not brand new out-of-the-box, never before used.

I bought the new Iphone 4s. I backed up my old 3gs on Itunes store before trading in my old Iphone. I sync my new phone and I have all of my apps but non of the high scores. For example I played all of the angry birds and had three stars on all levels. Now I have the app on my Iphone but I am back no levels completed. How do I fix this problem. My Itunes store is on a PC running Windows 7
Under the answer you want to mark as correct you should see a box that says Correct with a green symbol to the left and a box with Helpful with an orange star to the left. Click on the one you want.

i deleted some songs from my iphone 4. now when i try to re-add them to my phones itunes, they wont add. whats wrong? new songs add. but not the old ones! help please

When you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. This article describes how to manage these associations.

Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.

If I change my number and forget to give to some people. What message will they receive when they text my old number? Thank you!
more than likely they will never know the text did not go through. If the number was assigned to someone else they will get your text message. I did this last week and the person texted me back asking who I was. I responded and apologized and they said no problem.

I don't see FaceTime on my new iPhone 4
Strange one: just bought an iPhone 4 and brought it home. Tried to make calls with friends using Facetime and it never appears as an option. Never.
My home has WiFi -- Apple Extreme 802.11n (fast ethernet), which seems to be working okay for everything else. My friends are WiFi connected with their iPhone 4's, and they DO have a Facetime icon on their phones when they try to call me.
So what am I doing wrong?Embarrassing!
Went to the Genius Bar Sunday where the very patient young fella showed me exactly that.
Apparently upgrading from a 3GS meant that the FaceTime switch was 'off' by default in preferences. A friend who bought an iPhone 4 as a replacement for a Nokia saw that the switch on his phone was 'on' by default.
So I learned something and I'm sure the Genius had a good chuckle.

When I first got my phone I bought some music off iTunes and now I can't find old songs I used to have but they still appear on my iPad. Please tell me how I can get my old songs back onto my phone! I have tried to manage my iCloud too.

I have only just upgraded to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 and am having a problem with Viber. When my phone came on for the first time after the update I could see I had 2 new viber messages, when I went to open viber it asked me to register my number, which I did. Once the app was open I noticed all my message history was gone...
I still have an itunes backup of my phone just before the update, I restored it to this backup, followed the same process and now viber will not even work (the access code wont sms to me and the phone call option for recieving this code also come up with some error about not being able to do this at this time).
I have been able to access viber using another phone number (I have two sims which I use as I am currently overseas in south korea, my referenced australian sim has worked previously on viber overseas and I definently do have roaming on) but again I have no message history.
So to questions:
1) Why is my activation not working under my referenced australian number?
2) Can I recover all my message history which should be saved in my itunes backup? I am willing to revert to this backup state again if needed.
Please help.
Thanks.Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

When i try to update my apps, it asks me to put in my password for apple id. I put in my password but then it asks for my friends password for his itunes, because i let him sync his ipod on my itunes. How do i remove his account off my itunes where i dont have to put in his password.
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

I am having some trouble trying to back up my notes to my iCloud
Not photos, just data synced with iCloud shown in Settings>iCloud. If you don't have sufficient storage to back up to iCloud, back up to your computer instead using iTunes (connect you phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to ths Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now). Also transfer your purchases to your iTunes library (connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If you have photo stream photos older than 30 days tha you wan to save, save these to your camera roll before backing up (tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
When setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you made earlier. -
Just bought new iPhone 5S. Downloaded albums from cloud but some songs didn't download; message stated I hadn't purchased song. If I can't download all my music, I'll take the phone back. I still have my old one. Anyone else have this problem? Help please!!

Why are some of my songs showing up under # instead of first letter on my iPod?
Kinda hard to explain so I'll add a picture.
Anyhow, some songs on my iPod are showing up under the # category instead of being under the letter that the song title starts with. Anyone know why? I thought it was ones that I uploaded from physical CDs that I bought, but it's also happening with some songs that I buy from iTunes/Amazon/etc. too!
Its really frustrating because if I want to listen to a certain song, I either have to look through the # list if it isn't categorized right, or I have to click artist and search through that way.
Example: 'Dirty Country' should be under the 'D' category, not '#'Hi ...well...I tried what you said or atleast I ATTEMPTED TO:) ??? and I dont know that It worked..it still didnt do what I thought it would and yes, I will admit your advice sounded great and if ....and I do mean IF i were a bit more TECHY I think it would have worked great..lol ...its not your advice to the solution to my problem.....I am actually unable to figure out exactly if I am doing it right or not..so I will continue to try it again > and see if it will work out...and if you have any other advice on the problem Im having I sure would appreciate it....I just wish that I were a bit more Techy so that I could pull off a "what is probably a simple fix for smart people like you..but I am so not with it and I just look at it as a MESS and I dont know really still how to fix it...but I do appreciate your time..and for you insight and trying to help me...I just dont think Im doing it right and or doing something to it thats causing these issues to still happen...but I look online and it seems that he double songs seemingly are fine...they are most all kinda gone away..but when I did the hard reset..turn off like you said and did the whole turned off the Itunes Match app...and then turned phone back on and turned Match back on...songs on my phone...STILL THERE...:( I D K????? so thanks and if any more advice ?
