Why do the pictures I print have a yellow tint to them?

Why do the pictures I print have a yellow tint to them?

Hi Judy,
You have not included any information about your printer or how you are printing but generally when a photo takes on a certain tint it means one or more of the inks is running low.
I was an HP employee.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? What program are you printing from?
Some programs such as Photoshop give the option to print to CMYK or sRGB color spaces.  Even though the printer uses CMYK inks the driver is expecting sRGB data.  If CMYK is selected the prints will be much too dark.
Another thing to check is the media type.  If you are printing on plain paper and have seelcted Photo paper the prints have too much ink.

  • Why will the picture until the receiver upside down?

Why will the picture until the receiver upside down?

Here are links to four short MOV files showing the four orientations for the iPhone 4S. I had to upload them to DropBox for you as all of my available Cloud based mail programs choked on saving or sending these little video files.
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0061.MOV
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0062.MOV
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0063.MOV
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0064.MOV
I usually record hockey games in Landscape mode with the Home Button of the iPhone on the left side with the screen facing me. That is the mov file IMG_0063.MOV
Apple's QuickTime Player displays it correctly, while the VLC player, which ignores exif flags plays it upside down. So does the Plex Media streamer ignore the flag, so does the thunderbird mail app ignore the flag, and so on. Adobe looks at the exif flags so they get it right.
My movies are of four Post It Notes, each one describing the location of the Home Button. Take a series of four pictures oriented like my test MOV files , then take 4 short MOV files of the same iPhone orientation. If the results are "misoriented" then the software you are using to look at them is ignoring the orientation flages.
For more detail of this subject look at  http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/exif-orientation.html
    JPEG Rotation and EXIF Orientation
Digital Cameras with orientation sensors allow auto-rotation of portrait images. Unfortunately, support for this feature is not widespread or consistently applied.
    Digital Cameras with Orientation Sensors
Many newer digital cameras (both dSLR and Point & Shoot digicams) have a built-in orientation sensor. Virtually all Canon and Nikon digital cameras have an orientation sensor. The output of this sensor is used to set the EXIF orientation flag in the image file's metatdata to reflect the positioning of the camera with respect to the ground. Canon calls their sensor the "Intelligent Orientation" sensor. It is presumably a 2-axis tilt sensor, allowing 4 possible orientations to be detected (shown in the left side of the diagram in the link above).

  • Thumbnails on my desk top have LARGE check marks mostly covering the picture. I have processed thes picts in Lightroom and Photoshop  11

Opening from my desk top thumbnails have a LARGE checkmark covering most of the picture. I have used both Lightroom and Photoshop 11 to process these picts,

When I open Lightroom and view the thumbnails the check marks are there.
So when you're seeing the check marks, do this:
    1. On Mac: Type Shift - Command - 3. This will place a .png screenshot on your desktop.
    2. On Windows: Type Windows-Logo - Print Screen (sometimes labeled PrtScr). This will place a .png screenshot in your Pictures\Screenshots.

  • When I take a picture with my IPhone and send it to my home computer, why do the pictures turn sideways or upside down (it's an HP windows computer)

When I take a picture with my IPhone and send it to my home computer (HP Windows) why does the picture turn out sideways or upside down?

OK, here's the explanation.  When you take a picture, the iPhone knows what orientation it is in (portrait, landscape, etc.) and adds that information to the picture's EXIF data so it knows which side is up.  Apple devices can decode this information and show the picture right side up when it is viewed.  However, Windows computers cannot do this.  They are not capable of decoding the orientation information added by the iPhone, so they are displayed in a default orientation (which may not be right side up).
This only happens on Windows machines, and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it, except use the rotation buttons in Windows picture view to orient the photo correctly.

  • Why does the iPad Mini not have music play count?

I bought an iPad Mini and also have a macbook. I had listened to various music on my iPad Mini the other day, however when I connected the iPad Mini to the Macbook and iTunes via the lightning connector to sync, it synced the ratings I gave the songs I listened to on the mini, but no play count, as if I had not listened to anything. I hope there is something I can do about this as I often look at my play count!!

It should work work but these kind of bugs pop up between updates, both hardware and software. Try closing all apps in the recently used list on the iPad. Double tap the Home button, tap and hold one of the icons at the bottom till they wiggle then tap the to close them. Tap the Home button to get back to the Home screen then hold the sleep button till you see the slide to power off message. Once it has powered down completely hold the Sleep button till the Apple icon appears.

    Does it even really matter...?
Many people including myself rely on playcounts to control smart playlist to manage large libraries. Smart playlists can be created to show your most or least played tracks and used more or less as your favorites or other uses. Along with playcounts the date is transferred so to keep a fresh list of music on my smaller iPods a smart playlist set to songs not played in the last month keeps some fresh tunes on it.
Playcounts are also used to manage Podcasts in iTunes to delete older episode. Bookmarks, which can also be effected by this, can mess up audiobooks, movies and podcast playback between different devices. So yes, it does matter.

  • Why is the picture quality so bad? It just doesn't take good picture it's blurry.

    Hi there Amitabhavin,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

Once you've signed in the first time, don't sign out and you'll never be prompted again.

  • I have an older Sony digital camcorder, and I am having trouble importing the movie files. Sometimes I get the audio in iTunes without the picture. I have a Pinnacle Dazzle interface. What am I doing wrong. Is there a way to skip the dazzle device?

Chances are the pinnacle is producing .avi files or MPEFG1/2 streams - iTunes may know how to decode the audio but not the video. Download Handbrake and try running the Pinnacle files through it and adding to iTunes - use Universal format unless you have a specific device in mind.
    Keep copies of the originals.
Another option might be to try to install Perian.  Can't remember if the Apple MPEG2 plugin allows MPEG2 to be played in iTunes.

  • Will I lose all of the pictures that I have taken if I sync my iPhone to a new computer?

I was out visiting my Aunt in MI and she had bought me an iPhone 4s. So while I was there, my cousin had synced my iPhone to his computer and added some music. I also took some pictures with the camera.
Now that I am back home, I was wondering if I would lose all of the pictures that I have taken with my iPhone if I sync it to my computer back home... This is kind of important, because it has all of the pictures from when I was in MI...
    Please help?
    Thanks!

  • The picture do not save anywhere when I take them

    Hi
When I take a picture, it shows that its taking the picture I can even view it for a while on the screen, but once it goes away and I try to find it, its not there.
I have tried checking my media card and found nothing.
When I go to pictures where I could previously seen all the pictures that I have taken it now says "o Pictures, you can take pictures with the camera or Sync with your computer"
    please help!!

    Hi BBG987
From your Camera Options, make sure your photos are set to be stored on the media card and not the device memory.
    Thanks
