What causes a text message to be received multiple times

Are you using regular text, imessage or a different texting application?
Does the phone delay when you hit send? Do you sometime hit send again?

How are you creating the document? In your word processing app save the document as a Word doument then send this saved document.

Why am I getting multiple copies of a single email?

I'm using Yosemite 10.10 on my mid-2012 iMac.
I've noticed that I'll often get multiple "copies" of the same email. E.g., this morning I received an email that was forwarded to me as a contact through one of my weblogs. In the Mail Inbox for the specific email account the same email appeared three times.
I've noticed this same behavior in other email Inboxes (different accounts) in Mail.
Any idea what's going on?

This may have to do with the server, what kind of email are you using, and is it a group email?
Can you please provide steps you are taking with a little more detail as well? It may be a known issue, but I do not know.

Help! iMovie isn't importing still photos properly. I get multiple copies of the same photo!

Hello all. iMovie is acting very ornery, and I need help -- or I'll never get my 2011 slideshow completed in time!
I am trying to import several still photos into my movie project. In the past, I have simply dragged and dropped the appropriate photos from the iMovie photo browser into my project. Everything works — the way it should be with Apple products.
Suddenly, iMovie doesn't want to play nice. No matter what photos I drag into the timeline, iMovie inserts multiple copies of one of the video clips that's already in my movie. The photos don't show up. If I play the movie, I get a blank screen where the photo/video should be.
Is anyone else experiencing this probem? Is there an easy way to fix it?
The following picture and text should help explain what I'm doing:
Here are the steps I'm taking:
1. I select one or several photos from the iMovie photo viewer (on the bottom right-hand side of the window.) -- In this case, I've selected 10 very different photos.
2. I drag the photos into the project.
3. iMovie appears to import the photos.
4. I see 10 identical thumbnails in my project. They appear to be the same as the very last video clip in the project. However, when I scrub these thumbnails, or play the movie, I see a black screen.
I've tried dragging the photos directly from iPhoto, or from the desktop, and still the same thing happens.

Thanks wesehrt. I had one jpeg such as "ALL_CAPS.jpeg" --- straight from my iPhone, imported/tweaked in Aperture no less ... and renamed it without the underscore and it worked.
But I wasn't getting multiple copies or black screens. The image would import and I'd see the thumbnail in the project timeline, but what actually rendered was the last frame of the preceding video clip.
Bizarre bugs with photos importation here.

Why do people sometimes only receive part of my text message

I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for this issue?? It happens with several different contacts of mine. I send them a text message of varying sizes and sometimes they only get part of it. I've asked my carrier for support but it isn't a carrier issue. Any ideas please?

SMS messages are limited to 160 characters. If you type more than that, the message is split into multiple messages. If the receiver is using an iPhone or some other smartphones, the message is re-assembled on the receiving side from the multiple messages received from the carrier.
If the receiver is not getting the entire message, the problem is with your carrier, their carrier, or the interchange between the two. You should both contact your carriers and report the problem.

Can't import the address part of a text file into Address Book

I am trying to import from a text file. It simply will not let me hit OK if I try to import the address information but works fine if I omit the address.
Any ideas? Getting very frustrated.

I exported my database in a tab delimited format from palm desktop on a windows machine.
I clicked import from the address book menu, selected "from text file". It opens the import window as you would expect it to. I begin to align the data with the proper fields. If I ignore all address information, it imports just fine, but obviously with no addresses. If I try to align any address information at all, it will not let me click ok. the button clicks, but does nothing. If I unselect the address info again, its imports. No directions are available to guide me and everything looks like it should work. Begining to feel like Im in windoze world again.

Why is the last part of the Word Press install not working?

I am installing Word Press to work in Dreamweaver. I have installed MAMP and everything is working fine, I assume. The location of the files are /applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyten.
I have installed PHP/MySql on my machine and have set up the wordpress database as instructed. The last part of the process has me bogged down. In following step one of the process, I get a blank screen. Here's the url: http://localhost/wp-admin/install.php and the instructions to complete the process.
With the WordPress files copied to the correct location in the htdocs folder, the web server installed, and a database created, open a browser and browse to http://localhost/wp-admin/install.php.
A screen telling you to create a configuration file will appear. Click the Create a Configuration File button.
Click the Let’s Go button to go to a page that allows you to enter your database information.
Type your database name, wordpress.
Type your MySQL user name and password (usually the user name and password are both admin, unless you changed them in the database).
For the Database Host type localhost.
Click Submit
Can anyone help?

I'm stuck installing virtualhosts in DW and using Wordpress templates, but I may be a few steps further than you are, so I'll try to help. I'm also using Windows, so who knows?
I'm assuming you are not using a virtual host, just a local host; therefore, I went to the section that has instructions for the steps you are on in David Powers' "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP: Training from the Source" and right after he has you launch the browser and open "wordpress/wp-admin/install.php" in "your [site name here] site." He goes on to write:
The URL depends on how you set up your testing environment:
Virutal host: http://[site name here]/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
Localhost: http://localhost/[site name here]/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
NOTE: if you are using the MAMP default ports on a Mac, add :8888 after [site name here] for a virual host, or after a localhost.
So perhaps that's what you're missing, I really don't know.

Why does the export pdf for word conversion get hung up?

I need to convert pdf file to Word 97-2003. When I follow all the steps it moves into the uploading file stage and then gets hung up and doesn't finish download. Blue down load file indicator stays on but download doesn't happen.

I am doing it from my home computer. I pay a yearly service fee for that
option and it's frustrating that I cannot access it, even though I could
before.

Why is the .wav file removed from text messages?

Why is my IPhone removing the .wav file that is being sent via text message to my phone? If I send it via an email it comes in but not via a text message sent to my phone number.

I see that there have been 212 views but no replies. I'd love to know if anyone has any thoughts. I ahve voicemails from an outside company forwarded to my IPhone and they come in MUCH quicker via text format then with email. They would also be easier to open. If this is simply not availabel ok but I've seen some other Google results that seem to imply that attached files are available??
Is it because the files are bigger then a standard text message that is gets removed.

you can either take it to Apple or any Apple Authorized repair center and have them give you an estimate.
Or you can go HERE and pick the part you need replaced and have an Apple repair shop change it for you.
If you're Macbook Pro has a valid warranty - i suggest you take it to Apple, spend the $$$ to get it fixed so that it won't interfere with your warranty.
