Why do the site identity buttons not look like what you are showing on the information page?

Just read the email about security from Firefox. I do have the identity button show up in a color, but I do not get the passport officer, nor do I get the information in the drop-down window. All I get is "Verified by: ... or "This site does not supply identity information."

On Windows, you can switch between a classic menu bar and a compact menu opened with an orange button with the word Firefox.
You can switch between these using one of these methods:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar and turn Menu Bar on or off
* View menu > Toolbars > Menu Bar
* orange Firefox button > Options triangle > Menu Bar
Does that help?

Can not update- message says you are already running the adobe application manager - but it is not open

I'm trying to update Indesign and Photoshop. I get a message saying that the Updates could not be applied - you are already running the Adobe Application Manager - but I have closed everything. It may be related to the fact that today, about every 2 minutes, Adobe Creative Cloud Connection pops up. I have closed it numerous times, but it continues to open.

Terminate the process(es) in Task Manager/ Activity Monitor.

when i type an address in the bar & hit the go to arrow nothing happens.Browser also becomes very slow & erratic all this started when i loaded version 36 i also uninstalled & re-loaded 36 ...no help same probs.?

Do think the firefox back and forwoard button should look like what it look like in netscape?

Netscape is the ancestor of firefox.i think it would be greater if firefox would use its ancestors back and forward button to show respect.if you agree with me click i have this problem too button and well show firefox what we want.

Why does my vs. 11 NOT look like vs. 10?

Question is:
     Just recently bought Elements 11 for my Acer laptop which more than meets the Adobe memory and speed requirements for this product.
I was inspired to buy the latest based on what I saw on my son-in-law's MacBook Pro laptop which only has vs. 10. His Elements work area
looks amazingly like CS 6 actually with the very dark grey (non-distracting) background) and all tools lined up in one single space-saving row.
Additionally I see that he has PhotoMerge, Contact Sheet, and the Picture Package modes available.
     On mine the background is not as dark gray, and generally look much more amatuerish (vs 11!). I only see PhotoMerge but not the other two...
Also, my tools are in the old legacy 2-row line-up which I don't like (space hogs...). So what gives??
     Is this the difference of the two machines and\or OS's?? Hmmmmm...if so, not fair. Or, do I have the option of matching his workspace as I
want and am used to??

What does the straight talk iphone 4 look like when you turn it on

i was wondering what the Apple Iphone 4 for straight talk looks like when turning it on and off. LIke does it say straight talk?

The only thing the iPhone displays regarding the carrier is the carrier name in the status bar near the signal on the left side. The iPhone does not display anything but the Apple logo when powering up.

Hi Guys
I am having a rather frustrating issue with my Photoshop CS6. I have been trying to run the updates for hours now as my Photoshop CS6 is slow and unresponsive. I have an i7 Mac and 16GB of RAM. it should not be slow.
Anyway.
I keep getting this error each time I try to run the updates.
I have:
Restarted
Repaired permissions
Reinstalled Adobe Applications Manager
Nothing works.
Pulling my hair out.

I have even tried manually downloading the update DMGs and doing it that way but the error persists.

Authorization problem? Connection error: (Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet)

This is the error that I get when I try to Authorize my pc in Adobe Digital Editions. Can someone help me please as this error comes up while I'm on the internet and there is clearly no internet connection problem.

I recently uploaded Firefox 4. When I go to websites the site identity button isn't there. It would be a nice feature to have.

This is what works for me:
- On your iPad, try to switch your wifi on/off, 4 times (crazy, helps sometimes)
- On your ATV2, go to network settings, tcp/ip, change your ip last two digits to 20 and above. (helps every time)

How can I get my site to diplay a blue or green site identity button? I have an SSL.

A website I administer, hummert.com, shows a grey identity button, even on secure https pages. How can I get the blue or green buttons to display? I have a current SSL from Godaddy.
Also, is there still supposed to be a lock icon in lower left corner on secure sites? I don't see it, even on bank of america's page.

No, in Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions. 
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. 
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. 
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

And when you try to sync an ibook from your Mac's iTunes to your iPad what happens ? You've selected the iPad device's Books tab and on that have selected the book(s) that you want to sync to the iPad ?

Is there a way that to make text look like it is being written on the screen?

I once saw a tiltle (using the font edwardian script) that looked like it was being written on the screen.
I tried using the linear wipe transition, but this does not make the full effect i want.. for instance, when you make a letter "t" in cursive, you start at the bottom, then go up and then down and finally cross the "t". the wipe just went from left to right....

I have done this for several Titles, using Photoshop and a Layer Mask, that gets "erased," revealing the letters. My Titles were of "handwriting with chalk" on a blackboard, so I could keep the edge of that Layer Mask, looking more like the "chalk." Photoshop also makes it easy to output Layer Comps for each "step" in the handwriting process. IIRC, I did about 5 Frames per Layer Comp on Import, but do not recall if I used an extremely short Cross-Dissolve Transition between those - I intened to do so, but just do not remember if I liked that, or went with just the Still Images? Will try to find that animation, and maybe create a full tutorial of the process. In my case, I also added an SFX of chalk on a chalkboard.
If you have Photoshop, it's really quite easy to pull off.
Now, I do not know if Photoshop Elements has Layer Masks yet, which make it so very easy to accomplish. One could do it backward, where the Text Layer gets Erased, and then one would have their full Image as the last in the sequence, and then the next would have a little bit of the Text removed, then a bit more, then a bit more - going backward, until the "writing surface" is clean. One could also do this with a Transparent Background, so that one saw the Video below, and no actual "writing surface" visible.
