Why do two iPods need to share the same library? Is there any way I can change it?
I owe one iPod and brought another today, and I just set up the other one. They're both the same model - iPod touch 8GB - and I've set the second one up. I've had the first one for some time, about an year, and I only bought another for a family member. I was wondering why do we need to share the same library and how can we change it. Help would be welcomed since we really like different kind of genres and we disagree on them, so we really really want to change this. I can't even say how much we need to change the setting. Thank you!
Sherlocked, There are a few ways you can solve that problem.
If you do want to share the same library, use the capabililty to "Sync Selected Playlists," so that each iPod will only get the music that its owner wants.
Alternatively, you can set up two separate libraries. This is easiest if you use two different Windows user IDs on the computer. Then each iPod owner can sync to his own library.

Depends, if you've synced with this iTunes, while that passcode was enabled, you won't be prompted to enter the passcode when connecting your phone. If you have not synced, while that passcode was enabled, you will. So, if you fall in the later, there is no way to do what you want.

My 7 year old daughter has an iPod Touch 4 and she used the wrong password too many times. She thinks she remembers her password now but we have already exceeded the attempts and it says "iPod is disabled" connect to iTunes. Is there any way we can get the device to allow another attempt? We are traveling this week so don't have access to the serial number or the computer that was used to originally set up her iTouch. I don't even know what operating system it's on and can only see the home screen.
Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.

The passcode is set on your phone, not by Apple.

i got an 11 inch macbook air for christmas and now i am regretting not getting the 13 inch is there any way i can upgrade to the 13 inch still ?
okay well another question the track pad on my 11 inch mac got stuck and wouldnt work and i took it to the apple store and had a tech look at it and he said it was working and i got home and it still wouldnt work so i took it back again to another tech and he said the guy before didnt fix it right and he said it was broken and that i needed a new track pad and he said he would replace it but they didnt have any trackpads in the store at the time but he fixed it enough that it barely works but he said i needed to come back to get a new trackpad because he fixed it enough that it would only work for a short period of time, so i went back the other day to another tech and told him and he said that since it still works they wouldnt do anything about it. but it barely works and barely clicks down should they fix it since the one tech told me it will only work for a short time and that if i came back they would replace my trackpad ? i have apple care and i am still under the 1 year warranty.

If the photos were synced to the iPod they are not in either an iTunes or iCloud backup.Y may be able to get them from the updated iPod

Many ThanksOnly the contents of the most recent sync remain on the iPad, so if you want to sync multiple folders then you need to sync them in one go - in which case the folders will need to be directly off the same parent folder (otherwise they can't all be selected). I wasn't looking at what I was doing and I deleted an imessage conversation and I havent figured out how to get it back yet. I have my ipod backed up with itunes but not icloud. It is onlt that one conversation though and I really want to get it back. Is there any way possible to get my conversation back on my ipod?
If it was there and you creaded an iPod backup via iTunes then restore from that backup. Otherwise y are out of luck.
Autosyncing
To help prevent the last backup from being overwritten and thus erasing the Messages from the last backup turn off autosyncing so that you have to overtly start a sync. To turn off go iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPods...". -
