Why do we change the user group when doing LSMW?

I just wanted to know why do we change the user group Tcode SU3 when we are doing upload of data using LSMW?

As Rajesh suggested if you are uploading data for action in which infotype group is based on User Group then you need to change User group.
Otherwise there is no need to change user group for using LSMW.

Thank you for the question. This behavior is normal if updated on another Apple ID account holders computer. To change the Apple ID on your device, follow the steps in the article below.

BizTak SSO - why I cannot change the Windows Group

For some wired reason I an unable to add / change the "Windows Group" for "SSO Administrators" "SSO Affiliate Administrators(s)".
SSO worked, but stopped working after one of the reboots. I'm sure "Windows Group" was there but now those fields are empty and unable to be edited.

That you don't see anything filled can be caused be the fact that your account hasn't the necessary privelleges.
Are you a local admin on that computer?
You can check in de SSO database what is filled in by the query:
SELECT [gi_SSOAdminGroup]
,[gi_AffiliateAppMgrGroup]
FROM [SSODB].[dbo].[SSOX_GlobalInfo]

I use palatino lithotype but on checking sent mail your wisdom changes it to something else which also corrupts the lines and page endings and beginnings of texts.

V_T011 - You are changing a function group which does not belong to you

I've read some posts about my problem I report here, but have not found the solution.
In transaction SE54 -> V_T011 -> Generated Objetcs -> Create / Change I can not save the data transport details dialog for standard recording routine.
The warning "You are changing the function group Which does not belong to you" is shown. The change is not saved.
Can anyone help me?

How do i use WGM or dcsl to change the primary groups of users, defined by another group?

i've got a ton of users, whose primary group is "current student". they all belong to the other group "year 13"
they've left school, so i thought it would be easy to do a search of users with GID equal to or containing the GID for "year 13" (in this case 1121) and then change their primary group to "left school"
except that doesn't work. i can only search for them in WGM by primary group, it seems. therefore i cannot do any batch operations on a secondary group.
so. how do i do this? is there a way of scripting dcsl to find users by 'other group' and then change the primary group attribute?
i'm going to need to be doing a lot of this (changing the other gropus of a school full of students). bit stumped.

Change the user/system status when PP order is packed through COPP1

Hi All,
We have a requirement to set the system or user status for a PP order. The flow is the transaction COPP1 is used to pack the order for different dates. Now there is a button available on the toolbar when the second screen comes and it shows the data for different dates.
Is there any user exit or badi available to change the user or system status when tcode COPP1 is used. We want to change the status when the order is packed through tcode COPP1.
Has anyone of you come across such kind of requirement before if yes then guide me how to solve this problem. If there is other way out also let me know.

I am not aware about COPP1 transaction and fuctionality but production order change (automatic) is possible from Status profile settings. Create a status profile with your desired statuses and assign this to ordey type.

How can we change the purchasing group which it is maintained in R/3?

In case of MM, purchasing group is assigned to material master.
It means purchasing group is maintained based on material code.
But SRM has different maintenance level.
As you know that purchasing group has the responsibility based on material group (Product category).
So we should change the purchasing group from R/3, when end user create shopping cart.
How can we change the purchasing group which it is maintained in material master?

I am not a technical guy.
But for your requirement i am building a logic.
I am not sure whether it will work.
You need to check with your ABAPER.
It is as below:
When the SC is approved and the other configuration is correct ,
PR is created in ECC by the virtue of BAPI.
You want that the pur grp should be populated on the base of matl code and not on matl grp.
Hence in SC you will not fill up pur grp.
In the programme for BBPSC01 i.e. SC creation you will add modification that it will call a custom FM.
This custom FM will get the matl code from SC and will find the value of pur grp from R/3 MM01i.e. matl master(you may get in MARA).
Now in the BAPI you need to incorporate this additional value of yr pur grp field.
So the desired pur grp as per yr R/3 matl master will be populated in yr R/3 PR.
Again: this is all hypothesis.

How to pass the User Group for a SQ00 Transaction iView

To start off, I am relatively new to SAP technology in general. I may be missing something obvious.
I am trying to create an SAP Transaction iView in our EP Portal that will call the SQ00 transaction (start query) and run a particular query against our R/3 backend. I set the Transaction Code to: SQ00, the application parameters to: RS38R-QNUM=<my query> and the OK Code to: SHOW and the System to the System alias for our R/3 system.
My problem is that the query that I need to run is not in the default User Group that comes up by default. So I get a screen that has the query field (RS38R-QNUM) correctly populated but the error that the query has not been created. From that screen I can navigate to the correct User Group and then run query. There does not seem to be a User Group field on the screen, you change it by accessing a different menu, so I do not know how to call the screen for a particular User Group.
Is their an application parameter that I can initially pass to set the User Group?

Changing the material Group in PO -- the GL assignment doesn't change

we have a material group linked to a valuation class.
When we create a service purchase order, we use this material group and the G/L account is automatically updated, but if we change the material group, the G/L account doesn' change.
SAP PARAMETERS
- Material Group 1 is linked to valuation class XXXX
- Material Group 2 is linked to valuation class YYYY
- In SPRO the field G/L account is set on Display (screen layout).
Our user can change the material gruop, but the G/L account doesn't change too and this mistake could generate a wrong accounting document.
We want that the G/L account change automatically when the material group is changed and, if we cannot, we'd like to block the change of the material group (but not in Screen layout, because we are buying service without material master and we need to inser the material gorup).

i have installed j2sdk1.5.0 then installed j2ee1.4,then installed Weblogic6.1 which use jdk1.3
Now the JRE is jdk1.3\bin
When run class that was compiled with jdk1.5,throw:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError
How can i change the jre to 1.5?

There is a workaround to move from 1.5 version to the older 1.4 version. But this could be specific to the browser setting the JRE version.

My system (Windows XP) has the version 1.5_09 set as the default. However i just installed JRE 1.5_06 and would like to revert back to _06 as the default JRE..

I am trying to Populate the user group instead of the group ID in MFA. I want to use this to create authorization permissions, after authentication. I am running into the problem of not getting any info after authentication in the attribute dump. Are
there settings that I can change in order to Populate the attribute dump? are there settings that I can change to get all of the groups that each user is in?
