Why do we combine Sales Organisations ? (Tr Cd - OVAO)

Hi,
If all sales document types are allowed for all sales organizations, leave the field blank. Otherwise, enter the sales organization you want to use as a reference.
Example
Sales organization Reference sales org.
01 01
02 01
03 01
04 04
In this example, only sales organizations 01 and 04 have sales document types defined. Sales organizations 01, 02, and 03 share the sales document types defined for sales organization 01. Sales organization 04 has its own sales document types. When you create a sales order in sales organization 03, the system checks the sales document type against the types defined for sales organization 01. You do not maintain sales document types in sales organizations 02 and 03, since they are never used. For further information on the topic "Allowed sales document types per sales area", see the documentation on the IMG activity.

  • Sales organisation

    hi,
    the scenario is as under:
There is 1 company code, 2 plants. 6 divisions.
one plant is totally export oriented unit (EOU), and the other one is for domestic (DTA). The issue is the EOU does export sales as well as domestic sales and the DTA also does export as well as domestic sales. how do we keep track of the sales carried out by EOU & DTA ? In this case how many Sales organisations do we need? As per SAP Best Practices one company code should have One Sales Organisation. Please guide me and how will the tracking for EOU & DTA Sales be carried out? There are 4 divisions for EOU plant &  divisions for DTA plant.

    Hi,
It is better if you can have 2 distribution channel for each sales org EOU and DTA.Those distribution channel will be same for both sales organization. And it will be easier for master data maintaince. And for the reporting point of view you can always distinguish depending on Sales org/Dist channel combination
    Eg:- Sales org EOU 1000
           Sales org DTA  2000
           Distribution channel Domestic 10
           Distribution channel Exports    20
For reporting or tarcking purpose every sales document you can search on 1000/10 ; 1000/20 ; 2000/10 ;2000/20 combination.

    You can use table

    or a combination of
MARD and MVKE - where MARD gives Storage Location and MVKE gives the Sales Organization of the material number

  • Reference sales organisation, ref.distribution channel and ref. division

    Hi Gurus,
What is the use of reference sales organisation, ref.distribution channel and reference division.
Pls dont copy and paste sap help.
    --James

    Hi,
Sales Organization    An organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or
services. The responsibility of a sales organization may include legal
liability for products and customer claims.
    Use
You can assign any number of distribution channels and divisions to a
sales organization. A particular combination of sales organization,
distribution channel, and division is known as a sales area.
Reference distribution channel for conditions    Specifies a distribution channel that you want to use as a reference for
condition data for other distribution channels.
    Procedure
You can specify one distribution channel as the source of condition data
for other distribution channels. You need then only to maintain the data
        in one place.
    Example
        Distrib.channel                Ref.distrib.channel
        01                             01
        02                             01
        03                             01
        04                             04
In this example, only distribution channels 01 and 04 have condtion data
defined. Distribution channels 01, 02, and 03 share the master data that
you defined for distribution channel 01. Distribution channel 04 has its
own master data. When you create a sales order in distribution channel
03, the system checks the condition data against the data defined for
    distribution channel 01.
Reference division for customers    Specifies a division where you can define customer master records and
        share them with other divisions.
    Use
Customer-divisions are a way of sharing master data between different
divisions. You can specify one division as the source of master data for
other divisions. You need then only to maintain the customer master data
in one place. You can specify customer-divisions in Table TVKOS.
    Example
                  Division       Customer-division
                     01                  01
                     02                  01
                     03                  01
                     04                  04
In this example, only divisions 01 and 04 have customer master data
defined. Divisions 01, 02, and 03 share the customer master data defined
for division 01. Division 04 has its own customer master data. If you
create a sales order in division 03, the system checks the customer
master data from division 01. You cannot create customer master data for
divisions 02 and 03, since it would never be used.

  • Define Sales organisation

    Hi gurus,
On which basis we will define the sales organisations?
for eg: few clients having only one sales.org and few are having 3,4 s.org, why?
    Cheers,
    Sumith

    hi,
it is based on client business process.
the goods are sent to costumer on the basis of retail, whole sale or import export..etc
so these are config with different sales area.
only one sales org or sales area is maintains when the business process is limited
ALES ORGANISATION: A sales organisation is an organisational unit that sells and distributes products/services, negotiates terms of sale and is responsible for carrying out day to day business transactions.
One or more sales organisation is assigned to a company code but the number of sales.org should be kept to a minimum i.e. one per company code.
Every sales organisation carries its own (customer and material) master data and NO two sales organisations can share a single master data.

  • Migrating business partners with more than one sales organisation

    Hi experts,
In a short periode we will implement CRM 5.0 in our organisation (don't ask why not a newer version...) with a R/3 backend system.
At the moment we have our business partners stored in various systems, but the most in our old R/3 version 3 system.
In the new system we want to use more than one sales organisation, like we do it at our R/3 system at the moment. In CRM is should it be possible, but the question is how to migrate? If we use LSMW migration we can only migrate one sales organisation and one service organisation for the business partners.
Do you know a methode to migrate the business partners to CRM 5.0 and migrating more than one sales organisation with these business partners, is there a possibility to use excel (csv) and a z-transaction which uses the standard SAP function modules?
    Please let me know!
    Thanks in advance

It can't be that different? Is there anybody who knows something about this?

  • Combine sales orders of different division

    Hi all,
I have issue where two sales orders are of different division and i want  to combine the both sales order into one delivery document and make one invoice ,but delivery its not allowing me to do so,though copying requirements 051 exits,so SD experts help me out whaere i am going wrong.

    Hi,
In order to combine sales order into one delivery you need to check whether following parameters are same in all the sales order that you want to combine
    Ship to party
    Shipping Point
    Route
    incoterms
    delivery date
For creating single invoice for multiple deiiveries, following fields should be same
    Payer
    Billing Date
    Payment Terms
    Destination Country
If these fields are same in all sales orders then you can very well create single delivery for all the sales oder
    Hope You get some idea

  • How to exclude sales office for combination sales order type/division?

    Hi experts,
I would appreciate if you could advise: How to exclude sales office for combination sales order type/division in ECC 6.0 ?

    Hi
Standard SAP functionality would not be able to cater to this. Ideally create a Z table with sales order type and sales office combination. Put in entries for combinations that are allowed. In Sales order program MV45AFZZ use the exit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK. In this exit write down the logic passing the sales office determined and the order type and check if the entry is there or not. If the entry is there then it should go on to the next step. If it does not then pass an error message. You need to use the help of your ABAP er for this.

  • How to combine sales and delivery data

    hi
i have requirement to make a report from sales as well as deliveries. Important fields in report are sales document , material , plant , sales document type , country key , sold to party , ordered quantity , delivered quantity , price from vakon ( KBETR ), actual goods issue date.
    The required extractors are 2LIS_11_VASCL, 2LIS_11_V_SSL ,2LIS_11_VAKON.
Problem is how to combine sales and delivery data as V_SSL has different key figures.Multicube is not the solution as dont have plant , sold to party and many other fields in V_SSL.
Kindly suggest how to combine sales and deivery data.
    Regards,
    Monika

I guess you do have shipping point in delivery.
In most scenarios shipping point may not(or) may be same like order plant.
Although they are different you can still roll up the delivery information to order level by plant since you have order # available as reference key in delivery.
With this reference key you can convert all delivery information to order (item) level.
I guess you can use one merge ODS with one cube (or) with 2 ODS for each at order level for validation.
You may have to map delivery type to order type as per R3 configuration as well.
speak with any Logistics guys for help.
    cheers

  • How to create CRM only Sales Organisation?

    Hello all,
We have downloaded our org model from R/3. We want to extend our org model in CRM with a sales organisation which does not exist in R/3. This should be possible as CRM can run stand alone but we cannot figure out how.
    Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Boris

    Hello Boris
You can just add organisations (in tx ppoma_crm) to the root unit and also to lower ones in the hierarchy via right mouseclick. If some of these units are mapped to the R/3 organisation model you can do that under the tabs Function and Attributes (depending on the way your org model is set up) by assigning sales orgs, distribution channels and divisions.
You can also drag & drop existing units (read downloaded ones from R/3) there.
Keep in mind that attributes are inherited from higher org units to lower ones.
In org data determination you can then refer to all org units marked as 'relevant for determination' in the attributes tab.
    Regards, Kai
PS: BTW, it is possible to have additional sales orgs marked as VKORG or VKBUR in CRM in addition to the ones exchanged with R/3 and the exchange still works. This scenario is useful i.e. when you have divisions selling 3rd party products not handled in the backend R/3.
    (EDIT: PS. added)

  • How to flow the sales organisation from R/3 to CRM

    Hi,
I have created a new Sales organisation, sales office in R/3 inaddition to existing sales organisations, and various sales offices.
Now I want to flow the new sales org, and sales office to CRM.
I thought in CRM using 'ppoma_crm' I can create a new sales organisation unit, but in the function tab I have to attach R/3 Sales Org. and R/3 Sales Office.
Now how to flow these data.
If anyone knows how to download these data, please reply.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Business area and Sales organisation

Can any 1 of u tell me the difference btw Business area and Sales organisation

    Dear Venkata Krishnan
Business areas are primarily used to facilitate external segment reporting across company codes, covering the company's main areas of operation (product lines, branches).
You can assign all balance sheet items, such as fixed assets, receivables, payables, and material stock, as well as the entire P&L statement directly to business areas. You can only assign banks, equity, and taxes manually to business areas indirectly. For this reason, it is not possible to create the legally-required financial statements and tax reports at business area level. Financial statements at business area level are therefore only suitable for internal reporting.
Sales Organisation is an organizational unit subdividing an enterprise according to the requirements of Sales. It is responsible for selling materials and services.
A sales organization can be subdivided into several distribution chains which determine the responsibility for a distribution channel.
Several divisions can be assigned to a sales organization which is responsible for the materials or services provided.
A sales area determines the distribution channel used by a sales organization to sell a divisionu2019s products.
