Why do we have two DI API folders in SAP setup?

HI All,
within SAP folder, we have SAP business one \ DI API and SAP Business One DI API folders? whts the need for two? when the content is the same?
regards,
Binita

Hi Binita,
DI API could be used as a standalone compent, it can works with B1 application installed.
So you can install it by two ways.
A. Install B1 application (DI API is automatically installed)
B. Install only DI API (in another folder)
Generally, you don't need to install 2 instance of DI API, but in case first you install B, then you install A. There may be two DI API.
So if you install A, and then B, and then uninstall B, A will also work.
That is why there are two folders:)
Two instance of DI API wouldn't harm since only the latter could work.
BTW, if you compile your addon using DI API 2005, it will work on DI API 2007 (just the same as on new patch), SDK provides backward compatibility.
Regards,
Jay.

Do you see two versions of iMovie in your Application folder?
You can drag the icons out of the dock and then drag what you want back to the dock from the Application folder.

  • On shared home network computer, why do I have TWO home folders?

When I connect to my G5 (from my Intel iMac) on my wireless network the first window that comes up contains folders for the G5, public folders for each one in the family, and my home folder (accessible) on the G5 (which contains folders for my Desktop, Documents, etc.),
When I click on the G5 folder and go to Users, I see what I'm assuming is a duplicate of my home folder, but it has a red circle with a minus sign and I am unable to access it (even when tI try to change permissions via the Get Info window).
My question is why do I have duplicate home folders and should my accessible home folder be INSIDE the Users folder? What do I do about the home folder whose permissions I can't seem to alter?

Don't know, but you might get an answer posting to the Getting Online and Networking forum.

  • How do I determine what folder my library is attached to if I have two iTunes music folders on my computer?

I am trying to backup my music to an external backup disc. The problem is that I have two iTunes folders on my computer. So I need to determine which is the correct folder to backup. Please help.

Run iTunes, select any track, and Get Info on it (File menu). On the Summary page it will show you the path to the file which will tell you the correct folder. This of course presumes that your iTunes library isn't split between two folders, which is entirely possible, so you may wish to check more than a single track.

  • Why do I have 3 iPhoto Library folders?

I have three iPhoto Library folders named iPhoto Library, iPhoto Library (original) and iPhoto Library (original) 2. Can I delete the two "original" folders and keep all current photos? Based upon the date, they appear to be old folders from previous upgrades and no longer useful - "original" is from 2010 and the "original 2" is from February 2012. I need more space on my hard drive - help!

Depress the option key, launch iPhoto and use the select library command to look at each library. Any that you as sure you do not want can be deleted

  • Why do I have 2 application support folders? Also, can I relocate one or both to free up SSD space?

I'm running Mavericks and imported a time machine backup of Snow Leopard during installation. I am trying to free up space on my boot SSD and was thinking of moving Users and Applications folders to their own partitions or drives.  I'm doing a lot of research on that, but while looking through my system I discovered I have 2 application support folders:
Macintosh HD / Library / Application Support
Macintosh HD / Users / [home folder] / Library / Application Support
Is this supposed to like this?  Did I create a redundancy by migrating files from Snow Leopard?
I wouldn't care so much, but Macintosh HD / Library / Application Support is 35GB, and both folders contain a Final Cut Studio folder.  The one in the first path is 18GB.
Would it be safe to relocate these huge folders? Or better yet the library that contains them?

    Yes.

    No.

No and definitely no. Deleting one or another of these library folders would be a very bad idea and would screw up your Mac a lot. In general it is a good idea not to mess around with system files. These files are necessary for running your apps. These two Libraries are at different levels in terms of your OS and do different things.

  • Camera roll gone in iOS8. Why do i have two sets of photo in my iPhone?

I have just got iOS8 on my iPhone 5s. I released "Camera Roll" its gone and the only place to find photo taken from my phone will either from "Events" or "Collections". It's near imposable to find photo from "Events" as it does not put my photo in the right order according to timeline.
The problem with "Collections" its just not user friendly. Also, all my photo have two sets in "Collections". Is there any way that I can delete one set of my photo from "Collections"? What do I need to do on my iTunes, iPhoto and my iPhone? This will be must appreciated.
Finally I really want to have "Camera Roll" back. Its really useless to have "Collections" as it sort out my photo via time. That makes a lot of space between photo when its rang by date. its too small to see when its range by year. So, it is really useless things to have. I prefer to have "Camera Roll" back.

there seems to be two sets of Library files.
You should have three different folders named "Library". They are
<~/Library>, or the Library folder in your Home folder (aka, Library folder from user domain)
</Library>, or the Library folder at the root level of your startup disk (aka, Library folder from local domain)
</System/Library>, or the Library folder in the System folder (aka, Library folder from system domain)
And under no circumstances should you even dream of deleting any one of them.
Should this dream ever occur, you need to get cured by reading a basic book about Macs, eg, David Pogue's "Missing Manual…".

  • Why do i have two game center accounts on one apple id and how do i log into the other one

One day while i was bored i started up a game but all of my progress items and everything that i paid for was gone and it was the same in all of my other game center related apps. After a long chain of emails with the maker of the game he stopped being helpful but we figured out that i have two game center accounts but only one apple id. So how do i log into the account with all of my data?

Get a separate Apple ID for one of the phones. Or turn OFF iCloud contacts synching on the one you do not want contacts to synch.

  • Why do I have two iPhoto Libraries on two different disks?

I have two external hard drives. At one time in the past I created an iPhoto Library on disk one, and then later I created a new library on disk two since it was larger, and that became my primary library. Now I notice using Finder after several months that the iPhoto Library file icon on both drives is exactly the same file size, with exactly the same modification date and time. How is this possible? I now do not know which library to trust. Thanks.

If you find the library1 on disk 1 contains files that do not appear in the library2 on disk 2 and want to get them into the library on disk 2 you can do so with the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager.
Launch iPLM, load the two libraries into it and copy the photos from library1 into library2. Set iPLM's preferences to not import duplicates.

  • Why do I have two title bars - one with the title of the page I'm looking at and another with the new orange drop down menu? Plus I can't get FF4 to save my tabs, even when I go to about:config, why is that?

I downloaded FF4, thinking that it would merely update from my previous installation, but all my tabs were gone. FF looks really weird - here is a link to a picture of it: http://tinypic.com/r/2mwdus4/7 - I have two title bars, my bookmarks toolbar is missing and the tabs are on the bottom. If I go to view => toolbars and click one of them, suddenly the second title bar (with the orange menu) disappers and my bookmarks toolbar comes back (even if I don't click on it in "view"). I can't get the browser to remember my tabs between sessions even though I set it to remember them in my settings. I even changed the browser.showQuitWarning to true in about:config, but it didn't work. What is going on?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Why do I have two sequences in my browser after uploading a movie?

I uploaded a movie from my camcorder into FCE and find that in the browser I have two sequences, not one. Both are the same except that:
    one reads ...3.6MB/Sec...................16-bit integer
the other reads ...(blank, no data rate)....32-bit Floating Point
I do not recall this happening before. I would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Hmm. I logged out of FCE, and just a moment ago opened it again.
The duration of SECOND Sequence 1 - let's call it B, is now 01.13.50.25. I cannot swear that it was not this before and that I just did not notice it. However:
The first Sequence 1 (A) has a duration of 00.25.00.03 - the correct length of my movie. and there my movie is, in the Canvas window, just as I photographed it. Another timeless masterpiece.
Sequence B is blank. Totally. (I know how it feels.)
So is it possible, do you think, that when in the Capture mode, the tape simply ran on and what B contains is simply the blank latter portion of my tape?
(Tom, I know how you feel about tape. I promise. If the market ever recovers, I will buy a tape free video camera the size of a backhoe.)

  • Why Do I Have Two Feeds at the Itunes Store?

I began podcasting through wordpress. To do so I made a category called "Podcast" which then becomes the feed that goes to the Itunes store.
Because of the limitations of Wordpress I went to feedburner and burned the same feed.
And NOW, on the Itunes store I have two podcast feeds. They are exactly the same in content, but one is from my Wordpress feed and one is my wordpress feed burned with feedburner. Does anyone know how I can do away with the wordpress feed without damaging the feed?
I would so deeply appreciate help on this.
    Thank you!

It's a bit odd, seeing that the Feedburner feed was apparently accepted before. Feedvalidator says the feed is valid, though it does throw up a few point you might want to look at - see here. It's also possible to subscribe in iTunes using the 'Advanced' menu, so there isn't anything seriously wrong with the feed.
I can only suggest that you try resubmitting it. You may find you need to make some small change to the title.

  • Why do i have two user accounts?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and I have two user accounts. The one that I created when I started computer the first time and one that was created when I did the migration assistant the following day. How do I merge the two? FYI...This is my first Mac.

You can't 'merge' two accounts. You can pick one as your main account, with administrator privileges, and copy over any files from the account that you want to delete to your Shared folder. From the Shared folder place the files into the permanent account before deleting the other.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • Why do I have two Bookmarks tabs, one in the Menu Bar one in the Bookmarks Toolbar?

I recently upgraded to FireFox 9.01 on my MacBook running 10.6.8. I now have two Bookmark tabs. One in the menu bar where it has always been and a new one in the Bookmarks Toolbar. The one in the toolbar has all of the custom icons for the sites that I visit but the menu bar Bookmark tab just has the generic icons. Can I display only one Bookmark tab, preferably in the menu bar where it has always been with all of the custom site icons?
Firefox also seems very slow to load my homepage, which is Yahoo, or some of my other pages. Thanks.

See this about the missing icons in the Bookmarks menu.

If you open the Customize window (View > Toolbars > Customize) then you should see that Bookmarks Menu button move to the Navigation Toolbar.<br />
You can drag that button in the toolbar palette to remove it from the Bookmarks Toolbar.
