Why do you go through versions like most change underwear?

As a master QA Analyst, I've been a bit concerned with how often a new version of FF is made available. In addition the message given to users when a new version is available conveys a since of urgency as though the version currently in use should not have been released to production in the first place.

WHY do you offer new versions of Firefox without warning that bookmarks will be lost and the last backup was 10 weeks ago???????????

Just upgraded to 3.6.3 and found that all bookmarks since April 16 (it is now June 25) are missing. I have read instructions for restoring bookmark backups but if possible would like to restore bookmarks between 4/16 and now. Restoring instructions say that I will lose those if I follow the instructions. Why was there no warning of this when the 3.6.3 upgrade was offered???? How can I get back 10 weeks' worth of bookmarks?

I have found an incompatibility in the older revision JSON files that your bookmarks are stored in to the newer client. It could be that the new client simply can't see them as a result of this incompatibility.
Please check the following directory for JSON files dated older than the update in May just in case: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[generated stuff].default\bookmarkbackups
If you're unable to see the AppData Folder, please enable Hidden files and folder by clicking on the Organise button from any folder (located top left of window), and then the following:
Folder & search options > View Tab > Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives.
If JSON files are located there, which are dated older than the update and you wish to restore them, please make a copy of this folder on your desktop, and uninstall the current revision of firefox (Temporarily). Reinstall an older revision, import the JSON file of your choosing, then export them as an HTML file, before finally upgrading back to the latest revision of Firefox. Once the latest revision of Firefox is installed again, import the HTML file, and this should restore your bookmarks.
If an older JSON file is not available, see if there's a shadowcopy of the file by going to Computer, right click your drive, Restore previous versions, click on the date of your shadowcopy and click on open, then navigate to the same location mentioned and copy it onto your current desktop.
If no shadowcopies are available, you could be out of luck. You could try a system restore point dating to before the update, which should roll back Firefox to the older revision, and may restore your bookmarks too, but at this point hope is sparse.

Why do you make previous versions of FireFox so hard to find?

I'm a developer and I need to maintain multiple versions of FireFox, specifically 4, 5 and 6, and maybe some of the interim versions as well. I did manage to find version 5, but after I installed it, it upgraded itself to 6.0.2.
I appreciate you working so hard to try to keep everyone updated, it means I have fewer visitors to my sites with an outdated FireFox browser, but I still need to support those who do. Where do I find version 4 and 5, and how do I turn off the attepts to upgrade everytime I open an older version of FireFox?

There is a still unresolved issue that might also be contributing to difficulty of registering.

People who use the Firefox extension called Noscript will need to read that thread and follow the instructions in the first post. Just now, I removed the recommended change to Noscript and discovered that the reported issue appears to still exist -- it's impossible for me to sign in to this forum without that recommended Noscript change in place.

Why have you updated from version 3 to 7 so quickly instead of point releases like everyone else. Apps dont work and its annoying. I liked firefox but I'm sick of this and gonna look for another browser.

Mozilla has switched to a rapid release cycle and that means a major update every 6 weeks, so there is more to come till the end of this year.

You must close Firefox to install the update after it is saved to your hard drive. Follow the instructions below.
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash. Both must be installed and updated on Windows systems. In Firefox it would show as Shockwave Flash in your plug-ins, if you had it installed.

If you think 4.0 is bad wait to you go to 5.0. The changes from 3.6 are trashy and sloppy. Foxfire needs to stop playing with the home page on updates. I do not like them.

That will work. The latest version of iWeb does run on Lion (with a couple of quirks).
But be aware that iWeb is clearly a dead end; fixes/updates/improvements are highly unlikely, and it may quit working with new versions of OSX (possibly even future updates to Lion).
If you're using MobileMe as a host, that will stop in June of 2011, so you'll have to move your site elsewhere. You can still use iWeb with it; a few changes are required on the Site Publishing Settings page, of course, but they're pretty simple. And a few features won't work, but there are workarounds for them.
I recently moved my iWeb site from MobileMe to GoDaddy, and it was relatively painless.

What happens if you try to Option-drag the library to the EHD? The same icon?

Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes - Apple Support - link doesn't state that voicemail is part of the backup
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview states that VVM is part of the icloud backup.
You can also contact your cell phone provider - as voicemail is a carrier feature.
