Hello mdp1, thanks for the donation, exist a bank transfer but you have to email [email protected] for more information on how to make a bank transfer to Mozilla.

I'm happy you figured it out and just try to keep in mind that not everyone you talk to at support will give the same advice or have the same knowledge. Just like those who contribute to these forums. Sometimes Google is your best friend.
I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)

Just because you are being asked to enter your credit card details doesn't mean that it will be charged for your purchases.

You don't need an Apple ID to use a "classic" iPod. You only need a computer (Mac or PC) that can run iTunes. If your iPod is older, your computer does not even need to run the latest version of iTunes. You can add songs to your iTunes library from music CDs, and song files you have already. Then sync the iPod to that iTunes library.

Why do you need a credit card when no money due

I recently was trying to add an older 3G IPad to my Verizon account. Went through all the steps online and then went to check out. We currently have 4 phones and 1 other IPad on this account. Anyway everything is fine until I go to check out. The total for this transaction was $0.00 but Verizon still wanted a credit card to complete the transaction. Why would a $0.00 transaction require a credit card. In today's world why would you even want the responsibility of taking that information if no money was due? Furthermore I asked the online chat person why and they said for verification purposes, really a dumb answer as I was logged in to my Verizon account already to do the transaction. Needless to say I did not complete the transaction. I refuse to give out credit card information when there was no money due, especially considering I refuse to have a credit card. Furthermore I am not giving out debit card information that is tied directly to my personal bank account. Note to the people who do your website coding. Don't require a credit card for a $0.00 transaction when the person is already logged in to their Verizon account. Probably not a big deal to Verizon as they only lost the activation fee and the $10 a month charge to have the device plus the possible uptick in data usage. It seems like a really dumb business decision on their part though.

That just doesn't cut it. 1. They were not shipping me anything. 2. I was logged in to my Verizon account which will let me change the whole data limit etc without a credit card. The requirement was nonsensical as I already had the IPad and just wanted to add it as a new device to an already established account with multiple devices. Again Verizon's choice but a really bad business decision to require a credit card for an established account with over 7 years of account history with you guys when you were shipping nothing and their was no money due for this transaction.

The reason you need a credit card is that to comply with child online privacy protection laws, the CVV or security code provides parental consent for the purchases that will be made. You will need to do that before continue and you can even switch back to your debit card after you finish the setup. The article below will explain further.

Why do i need a credit card for all applications?

Why won't apple let me buy my update if i have only itunes cards? I don't understand the point of using a credit card even for buying the applications? There still getting my money and I've read other posts and topics and other people are being aloud to buy it with there itunes money... Why can't I? That doesn't really seem fair to me and I've also read that people who've had there money in itunes for a longer period of time are able to pay with that but i added my money in yesterday... How long do i have to wait before i can give apple my money or do i have to use a credit card for all my purchases? By the way... Talked to Apple and apparently it's only a canadian problem and it has something to do with our government taxes. So that means that the only way to do it now is to have a credit card. That still makes no sense to me because we're aloud to purchase music and other items such as ipod games and there technically applications but apparently there not? And the stuff in the App Store is applications, Why can't i just buy my update?

I tried to download a free game and music app that are free then it pop up you need a **** credit card what the **** for.. Tired of being nickel and dimmed by company so how about fixing this ****!!! Very upset

If the game is shown as "free" in the App Store, it is completely free to download, but many apps have "in-app purchases" intended to separate you from your money.
The solution is simple - don't use those apps. Uninstall them and write a review in the App Store explaining their underhandedness.
To disable "in-app purchases" go to Settings > General > Restrictions and turn "In-App Purchases" off. Don't forget your Restrictions passcode.

I have this question too. I have plenty of credit, yet it still shows a pending transaction on my credit card. I'm guessing/hoping it show the "pending" until its actually taken from the gift card, which may take 24-48 hours...this is usually the delay before receiving the email that states the transaction was made.
Can anyone confirm this? Or let us know what is really going on???

It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:
