Why do your updates delete my toolbars and mcafee site advisor?

dude i am sick of this happening. every time you send me an update you eradicate my yahoo toolbar along with all my quick launch apps. and my mcafee site advisor also gets taken from me. one more update like this and i'm deleting mozilla.

This is not a mcafee issue. Its a mozilla update issue. Every time i get an update from mozilla i have to download my yahoo toolbar and mcafee site dvisor all over again. Anyway lets drop it because mozilla obviously doesnt care. Thanks for nothing mozilla.

First, you are not addressing Adobe here, just fellow users. There is no Adobe personnel assigned to answer questions in this forum.
Second, please give more details. From where are downloading your programs? The Adobe sites do not have ads, and I know of no reports about malware downloaded from them. If you are receiving both, most probably your computer is infected.

After updating aurora/firefox to most updated versions i find the mcafee site advisor does not work , but after rolling back the versions it does .

Most security software only supports the current release and even that can take some time after Firefox has been updated. 
If you expect Firefox to work properly all the time then you should stay with the release version and to use nightly builds that are updated every day or weekly in the case of the Beta channel.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last few days. If you see the red notification numbers on the App Store icon, you have apps that do need to be updated.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

I'm running Firefox 8 but want to uninstall it a load V7 so my McAfee site advisor will work. Why can't I get a link to download a previous version? Can I get V7 somehow?

I am running Firefox 5, McAfee Site advisor is blocked. I contacted McAfee and they said it won't work with Firefox 5 and that I should use an ealier version of FF or use IE. Is there a patch coming to allow Site Advisor to work on FF 5?

As above McAfee apparently feels the fault is with FF. I will admit that under the latest 3 version it worked fine. I skipped version 4 because of some things a read about it. I did go with FF5.

The McAfee Site Advisor add-on is blocklisted by Mozilla due to that Site Advisor extension being the #2 cause of crashing the Firefox 5.0 betas. Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

I solved this by clicking the 3 horizontal bars (Open Menu) at top right of screen, then clicked "Menu Bar" in the options shown. Suddenly my toolbar and task bar appeared on the screen and stayed.
