Why do youtube videos blink when you scroll up and down the page?

for some reason out of the blue youtube blinks when I am scrolling on a page while playing a video. I tried deleting the cookies which appears to have worked until I re-logged into my youtube account and any video I watch still blinks. Have any ideas?

Hello toekneesee, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Getting an Animation to start when you scroll to it on the page.

I have made an animation in edge, which I have then added into my Muse site. Is there anyway I can make the animation start when I scroll to it within the page.

With Lion, I'm finding it difficult sometimes to scroll up and down the page, because the "slide" isn't always visible.

How can I easily scroll up and down without seeing the little slide bar on the right of my screen?

System Preferences -> General, set "Show scroll bars" to Always.

Sometimes when I scroll up and down, the screen font gets funky.

Sometimes when I scroll down a page on a website, the screen font goes from being clear to blurry and kind of funky looking, like when you don't use Clear Type. Is there some setting I can change to prevent this from happening? With very small fonts, it sometimes becomes almost unreadable.

My Videos are flipping as I stroll up and down the page

Hello! FireFox...
I would like to know if someone can please help me solve this problem.
I'm experiencing this problem only on blogger and Word-press with my videos flipping when I scroll up and down the page.
This don't occur when I use yahoo videos... I must admit that this is very annoying.
By the way, my pages use to flip until I upgraded to Mozilla 6.0...However, that didn't solve my video flipping problem.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
If it is Flash files then also try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

I am also having issues with the device since updating to IOs 6. The time between clicking an icon, i.e. a picture, and the load of that picture takes longer enough to notice it. It did not happen before the update.
I am also having problems with some applications, specially the Facebook application. When I click on my picture in the right bar of the app, it promps a window that ask me for share my location, etc.. and get freeze there.
Regarding reseting the device, already done. It did not helped.
Also, SIRI is very nice, but sometimes it stop working and I have to re-start the device in order to being able to use SIRI again. When it happens, it looks like SIRI is sending the information, but does not do anything after.
It is understandable that they require some time to get the new IOs version working properly, but I dont like to be a Beta tester.

Why do YouTube videos lag when I switch to 720p?

I'm extremely annoyed by the fact that everytime I watch a YouTube video and switch the quality from a standard 480p to a 720p or 1080p HD, the video gets lagged out. After restarting my Macbook Pro, it gets better and in a short while when I try to view it in 720p again, it gets laggy again. I have no problems viewing it in 320p or 480p. I notice this happens after I installed a number of updates on my Mac OS X 10.
Here's a list of updates I made.

(4) Remote Desktop Client Update 3.5.1

A lot of people on the other forums seem to suggest it's the internet connection.
I can tell you for one that I have never experienced anything like this before. In the past two years with the same internet plan, I have been able to watch 720p and 1080p HD YouTube videos without any problem. Just today after installing those updates, the video gets lagged whenever I switched to 720p HD.
I just restarted my Macbook Pro and everything is fine for now. In half an hour or so, it's gonna happen again.

How do you scroll up and down on the library and playlists? I can only see an up arrow at the top of the first column on the left and it only switches between the top 28 songs and the bottom 28.

Ever since installing firefox 4, i can no longer use my finger type joystick on my keyboard for automatic scrolling up and down a page. Any suggestions?

I have three buttons below my space bar which function, basically like the left-click, right- click buttons on a mouse but the middle button, when held down, should allow me to move the joystick up or down to continuously scroll up or down a page. Now, it doesn't work. This is a function I really like. If I cannot resolve this, how do I remove Firefox 4 and go back to my previous edition of Firefox?

Why wont Youtube videos load when using Firefox 3.6.3?

I've been having issues with youtube when using firefox, the video doesnt load or show up for that matter its just a black screen where the video should be and on the bottom left hand corner of Mozzilla it says "done" I've tried everything, I updated java and flash but nothing seems to work. What can I do? I know I can use other web browsers but I really want to fix this

Every time i click anywhere, on any page, the blinking line that shows up when you're typing appears on the page.

for instance, when i was typing this question, the blinking line appeared in the box. when i clicked outside the box, it appeared next to the header above this form, as if i could type there.
a lot of the time, if i try to click away, the blinking line applies itself to the entire page. if i do manage to get it to vanish, i can't scroll with my arrow keys; if i don't, hitting the down arrow takes me to the bottom of the page, and hitting the up arrow does nothing.
i can still follow links and such.

Does the mousepad have scrolling function when you swipe up and down on the side?

I am curious to know if the mousepad has a scrolling feature (swipe up and down on the right side) would scroll webpage.
I come from Sony laptop and their mousepad has this feature which is convenient rather than using page up and down to scroll webpage.

It does not have a scrolling function on the side of the touchpad, but it does have multitouch capabilities so you can push two fingers down, start the scroll, and I recently discovered that you can take one finger off and move the one that is still on to the top (or bottom) of the touchpad and it will continue the scroll so it does not scroll a bit, stop, and make you scroll again. A nifty little feature, in my opinion.
Of course, I am fairly sure all Yogas come with a touchscreen, which is really nice for scrolling as well.

On Mac OS X snow leopard, when I quit firefox 4, all the app tabs I set up get deleted. Is that suppose to happen? on your website it says that when you close firefox and reload the browser the app tabs should be there on start up?

When I close the firefox browser but I do not quit the program entirely, the app tabs remain as I had originally set them up.
But when I fully quit firefox. All the app tabs I set up are gone and I have to set them up all over again every time.

Here's what happened in safe boot mode.
I click on apple logo > software update > see's that Super Drive 3.0 is checked > click install
I wait for the install to go through.
First pop up says " There was a problem installing this update" Quit all apps before installing bla bla bla... I noticed a sound when this pop up appeared. It's the sound of when you restart the macbok. There is another popup behind this saying that software update has been sucessfully installed.
So what I did first was click "quit" on the popup saying "There was a problem installing this update".
then I clicked "ok" where it said that the software installation update was successfully installed.
I get another pop up which is the Software Update window. I let it look for any updates and it then says that my software is up to date. I noticed that Super Drive 3.0 is listed and cannot be checked [x]. There's a Check mark with a green circle around it.
I quit the software update window and click on apple logo > software update and let it do its thing. Next thing you know, It says that Super Drive 3.0 needs to be updated. I also checked the SERIAL ATA and still shows rev. CP06.
I just recently installed this mac os X so there is no "important" data on this laptop. I don't have any money for OS Lion or Mavrick nor meet the system req to run it. 2gb to 4gb is expensive for a ddr2 800 200 pin ram
