I tried to reinstall adobe flash player and, the installer popped up, but there was no action. I had to restart my pc to get rid of the installer window because, it would not close. I tried installing the plug in numerous times, without success. what else can I do.

  • Why does Adobe Flash Player keep crashing and then apparently uninstalling itself?

why does Adobe Flash Player keep crashing and then apparently uninstalling itself? Is this not clear enough?

From System Preferences > Preference Pane click on FlashPlayer > Storage and see what you have selected for options.

  • Why is adobe flash player not supported?

Why is adobe flash player not supported?

    Because.
Apple and Adobe could never come up with an OS that liked flash and a version of flash that worked on the OS. So never the twain will meet. and now Adobe is abandoning mobile flash in favor of other things, so it's become a moot point.
With the surge in the number of mobile devices and the fact that a lot of them don't use flash, site creators will need to take mobile devices into account when they create their sites and assess their accessibility.

  • Why will adobe flash player not work on my mac?

Hi, I just got my mac back from the apple store and sadly I lost all my data so its a 'new mac' and i had to set it up from scratch etc.

  • Why does Adobe Flash Player 11.9 keep installing over and over on Windows Internet Explorer?

I am having a problem with Adobe Flash Player 11.9. When I visit a site that uses Adobe Flash Player (i.e. NBC News.com) the system keeps asking me to install Adobe Flash Player 11.9. However, Adobe Flash Player 11.9 is ALREADY installed on my system and is working fine. Each time I try to re-install Adobe Flash Player, it doesn't do anything except go through the installation process. Tell me how to stop the notifications.

You've probably got cached files that keep sending outdated info to pages you visit.
    Download this file: Deep Clean.zip
Close IE. Check your task manager to be sure the iexplore.exe process is terminated.
    Unzip the file.
    Double click the deepclean_set.bat file.
A command prompt window will open and your Disk Cleanup settings manager will open too.
Check EVERY box in the list and click OK.
Then double click the deepclean_run.bat file.
Again, a comman prompt window will open, and your Disk Cleanup will run, clearing many more files than the standard cleanup does. It WILL take a while to cleanup.
When it finishes, you can delete the deepclean_set.bat file as you won't need it again, but keep the deepclean_run.bat as it can be used to "deep clean" your disk whenever you need it. Save it in your documents folder.
Afterward, open IE again and go back to NBC. You shouldn't see any prompt to upgrade anymore.

  • Trying to access website but it says Adobe Flash Player not installed

    www.caesars.com/thelinq  live webcam
    I have Windows 7, 64 bit with IE 1,0 32 bit.  Flash Player 11.9.900.170.
Have been through the troubleshooting list several times but can't get this website to access Flash Player. FP seems to work everywhere else.   Any help would be appreciated!

Apple has built-in malware protection in OS X. This malware protection was just updated by Apple to exclude all earlier versions of Adobe Flashplayer. The current version is 12.0.0.44.
You should not be downloading Adobe Flash Player from anywhere but Adobe's official download site.
Once you download it, it will go into your logindir/Downloads folder. Quit all browsers, and System Preferences (if it is open). Next to your Trash icon in the Dock is an alias to your Downloads folder. Click once, and the bottom item will be the just downloaded Flash Player installer. Single-click this installer. The Adobe Flash Player Installer will mount to your Desktop and open a window. Double-click on Install Adobe Flash Player. When done, right-click on the mounted Adobe Flash Player Installer Desktop icon and select Eject...
In the future, use the Flash Player preference from System Preferences to update itself. Once the installer mounts on the Desktop, close System Preferences, or Flash preference panel will not get updated correctly.

  • Why does Adobe Flash Player block me from using Firefox?

Every time I try to use Firefox, Adobe Flash Player blocks me from doing so.
I get continual messages that keep reappearing: """""""Adobe Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working.
A problem occurred to make the program stop working correctly. Windows has closed... etc. """""""
This message just keeps re-appearing, and I can't do anything else by close out of it........
and then switch to another browser. I CAN'T USE FIREFOX.
I went in and downloaded the new version, just to make sure it wasn't being blocked by an old version,
but that didn't matter at all. It still blocks me out.
HELP!!!!!!! How do I stop this?

I'm sorry you're going through this.  I suspect you're running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4.  Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue.  If it does, please re-enable it and give our latest Flash Player 11.6 beta a shot.  You can download it here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

  • Why does Adobe Flash player crash so much?

This is not the first version of FireFox that Adobe Flash player crashes on. It happens 2, sometimes 3 times a day, my browser locks up for 45 seconds or so then I see the "Adobe Flash Player has crashed" yet again.
I've read the forums, tried suggestions but it continues to crash.
I want to keep using Firefox, but I'll have to switch to chrome and just use firefox for the better firebug.
I'm sure this is adobes issue and not firefox, but there's not much I can do.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

  • Adobe Flash Player not installing after downloading

    Windows Vista
    Firefox 25.0.1
    Flash Player 11.3
My Firefox browser has a red symbol that says "Outdated Adobe Plug-in" Block or continue allowing? Or another time it says to update.
It takes me to the download centre, I download the flash, install it as advised and nothing happens. I don't get any status update to say the installation has been completed. So I download/install again and it says only one instance of it can run but again, no confirmation it has been installed successfully.
I've only now tried to have updates set up automatically for Flash but whether that works I don't know as it's affecting me when I use websites or go on forums, making it jittery.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thank you.

Download the Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers), Flash Player Uninstaller, Shockwave Player Uninstaller, and Shockwave FULL Installer by right clicking and selecting "Save Link as".
    Save them. DON'T run them.
    Reboot.
Use thehttp://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstallers to remove the old plugin and Shockwave player completely.
Just to be sure, go to: C/Windows/System32/Macromed and delete the Flash folder if it still exists.
The go to: C/Windows SysWOW64/Macromed (if there is one) and delete the Flash Folder.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run, or press the Windows key+R - and type "regedit" then click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE and delete the Macromedia folder.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder there as well.
THEN run the Shockwave installer, and after that, the Flash Player installer.
You should be up to date.

  • Why does adobe flash player want to download on every website I try to go to?

After signingin to my website, and trying to go to another thru a visual tag, I get a message from adobe to doenload the flash player. Isn't once enough?? Can't the programmers send a tag to see if it has already downloaded the flash player??
I'm just an old fart, but they should get their heads out of the sand and put a tag into the add on tag to see if the flash player has already been downloaded. If so, continue with the site downlosd.
This crap just makes it harder to access websites.

    That would be 11.
There are Windows 8 troubleshooting tips here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.h tml
But the problem is more likely IE11 itself. Aside from Vista, it's just about the worst garbage Microsoft has unleashed on the computing public, ever. They intentionally altered the "User-Agent Strings", which websites use to identify the browser and provide the proper content for it. Some sites ID it as a Gecko browser (Firefox), while others ID it as a Webkit browser (Opera or Safari). Problem is... when the site ID's it as either of those, the browser specific content supplied REQUIRES the correct browser engine... which IE doesn't have and never will. So, it then becomes an "unrecognized browser". The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon. In fact, since they though this was a great idea, I seriously doubt they'll change it at all.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using a different browser. Trouble with that is... it's seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Windows 8.1 & IE Ver. 11 - Adobe Flash Player not installed?????

After upgrading to Windows 8.1 - It seems that Windows 8.1 installs IE VER 11 which doesn't have the Flash player installed and currently, their is no way to download and install flash player for IE 11.

Since IE 10, Microsoft has embedded the Flash Player for Windows 8. If they left it out, now would be a great time to finally free yourself from the pitiful excuse for a browser that Internet Exploder is.
Firefox uses a Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers) that ISN'T restricted by 20-year-old ActiveX technology, it's faster than IE, and infinitely more customizable, with plugins to block ads and popups (that DON'T work with IE).
As to 8.1 and IE11, I was conned (or rather my daughter was) into installing the 8.1 preview this summer, and it renedered EVERYTHING on my laptop (including my AVG antivirus) "incompatible". I had to uninstall it, and reload WIn 8. I won't be putting 8.1 back on till 2015 at the very least. Maybe (just maybe) those jackwagons in Redmond will have it "ready for public consumption" by then, but I'm not holding my breath. Same goes for IE 11.

  • Adobe Flash Player not installing.

I am running a windows 7 64-bit computer. When I run the installer, no installer window appears. I do however see the process in the task manager, and see that the installers have been moved to my C:/../AppData/Local/Temp folder; however, after that point the process seems to stagnate. How do I fix this? Is there some file that the installer requires? There is no error message for me to troubleshoot this on my own. I've restarted my computer multiple times, have everything else updated, and run the most current version of mozilla firefox. I've also done multiple full scans with McAfee, Malewarebytes Anti-Malware, and msert, and also ran the system file checker; all of which returned with 0 malware/missing files. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    PBlackII
The name of the installer I'm trying to use is install_flashplayer11x62_mssa_aih.exe
    Delete that installer file.
Download this file: Flash Player for other browsers
Use it with a clean install.
